Create mod is what I wanted Minecraft to be like when I was little. It’s weird to see a mod exactly like what I imagined as a kid.
Hopefully that airship is filled with helium and not hydrogen, because the last time an airship that big was filled with hydrogen, it flew for only 14 months before it crashed and burned.
And now we have large stack of helium,mostly use on small balloon

make your hit boxes visiable and you'll be able to see how big the airship actually is, it will almost never be the size you expect it to be!
I'll give it a try. The hitbox has to be massive.
@@doublesal I would expect it to basically be a square. as that is how Minecraft likes to do collisions
@@ThyTrueNightmare 100% right, the hitboxes are massive, itd be easier to make an interactive ramp that extends out for docking imo

See, now this modpack would be perfect to add weapons to ships.
Imagine loading a canon on the ship, firing at another ship, and watching it crumble and fall to earth! XD
I'm pretty sure the parking problem actually involves the impeller's in the back, but not like what has already been mentioned. Because the ship has been turned in to an entity, it has a bounding box/hit box, it would probably take a lot more effort to have that hit box follow the actual shape of the entity, so it most likely made a simple rectangle based on the width, height, and length of the ship. As such, the game sees it as the whole ship being as wide as the impellers, thus being unable to fit. The only options are to slim down the impellers some how, or made the gap in the bridge bigger.
most likely not because the mod doesnt do that. the hitbox always stays the same with the ship.
the hitbox follow the shape of your airship because if theres a huge hitbox it would block your actions preventing anything from happening like opening chest or shooting arrows
Valkyrien Skies usually has block prefect hit boxes, but for bigger builds the hit boxes take too much processing power, so it simplifies it. The build he made is gigantic, so the hit box was simplified many times, making the hit box not represent the actual build and making the airship stuck.
I think why it couldn't move was because the mod thought the back of the ship was in the way so I think something that can help is going up above the bridge and going down on top of the bridge?

Try this out with the Blocky Siege mod, youll be able to add cannons and such to these block airships

Obviously it's fine because there's only one airship! However just to be safe he should build a command center nearby. Just to spice things up, it could be an interesting shape too, maybe one with five sides instead of four! XD

yep erika is one of my favorite must have mods for that reason. Create, waypoints and drawers are my latest additions to must have mods. dragons are just my personal choice.
I think the reason you can't park the airship between the towers is, well for one they're way too low too the ground. That's probably where the invisible block keeping the thing from moving forward any further really is. The other is that like you said, it's too narrow. Maybe widen the gap a little and add an extending platform that can act as a gang-plank. I mean, I'm not exactly an expert, but I think it'll work.
kinda surprised you didnt go with clockwork tbh, fits the modpack better tbh
You should install the new create interactive mod, that lets create and other moving parts work, while on other moving parts. I think it would let create machines work on airships. not sure if its compatible with Valkyrien Skies, but it sure is compatible with the entire create mod
Create machines work on VS subworlds regardless. Interactive just spawns subworlds in place of contraption entities.

Loved the video @doublesal! Can't wait for the next video man! Glad to see you playing with the Valkyrien Skies: Eureka mod! Kinda figured you'd make an Airship when you have an Airport for your Airplanes Like Fighters, Bombers and Transport/Cargo Aircraft.
Next Build you make should be a Harbor and a Shipyard so that you can Build Ships (as in Steamships) to Transport Items around the World and even Explore the World across the vast Oceans. Be wary of Pirates though, just in case they do exist alongside the Pillagers!
P.S. Who's the player in your group with the Glynda Goodwitch Skin? Didn't even think the RWBY Community had left a mark on Minecraft until I had seen a Cinder Fall Player Skin while looking up various Skins from the Azur Lane Community LMAO!

I loved this video and I think you should try create clockwork a valkyrien skies addon to add integrations for create and it can help make your ship alot faster with propellers and wings
Create mod + eureka mod= Airship etc. And dude you have made your own kingdom

What mods besides create are you using for controlling the ship. I searched for eureka in the modpack but couldn't find it.
I would modify the air turbines so that they produce torque instead of depending on the water wheel, because if you build Create machines you are going to use all the energy possible
i have some of these mods in my own server, except im also using the ars nouveau mod in the hope that i can have a ship with magic weaponry :D

Did you have to add any other mods other than Valkyrien Skies? Looks like that mod was not in the Steampunk modpack.
I find it funny how the sponsor bit was saying how free servers are so laggy and bisect is affordable and better, but I played a server hosted by them, and it sucked just as bad as a free one
You can use Clockwork with valkyrien skies and eureka to make even better ships airships and! Planes!

I was checking out the modpack but I didnt see VS or Eurika in there. Is it something that needs to be added afterwords or am I just missing it?
You need to add those mods manually into the mod folder. Make sure they are both for 1.19.2
you should install clockwork too so you can make better planes.

Or you can get essential which is a multiplayer game where you can invite every person to a single player world without having to be on the same landline and you can customize your cosmetic skins everything it's very cool and you should look into it the mods called Essential

Try some add on mods to make it do flying the ship is more realistic instead of just status movement

The airship hitbox was too big for the space you made, even if it looked like it could fit in the dock.
The best thing to make is a retractable dock for when you dismount your ship.
can you move on a mooving structure while the structure is mooving?
You need use other mod, clockwork is a mod used to make airships, planes, ships etc, prove it

I dont know but you should use valkrien skies clockwork it adds compatability with create and vs so you can use propellers and balloons to make your builds fly and in the next update it will add jet engines allow for airpocket detection so you can make submarines and more
A plane with guns on it or a battleship maybe a castle that has been modified by a steampunk (guy maybe)
