Man was bored out of his mind of not having a proper fight, and Clive gave him just the kind of enjoyment he was longing for. To add even more insanity, he's always been the loyal servant to Ultima, and once Clive shook his will, Barnabas became *_UNHINGED._* The maniacal laughing, the fact he said "F**k off Ultima, I want this fight to myself! I don't care about your ideals, let me have this!" - he was desperate to finally have someone who could match him.
Also, his boss music that goes with his boss fight that night kill you if you pay too much attention to it more than Barnaba himself. Cuz that's his I died a couple times.
Barnabas was such a hyped, badass, depraved character. Such a complicated yet simple foe. Perfect for Clive to overcome. Barnabas was one of the few characters that took Clive EVERYTHING to defeat. A worthy challenge.
Titan and Bahamut may have had more spectacule, may have felt longer But as an Odin stan, this fight was everything I could have asked for. I literally stood up when you used Zantetsuken against him and I didnt sit back down until the end
This^ I found the battle against titan too long and tedious, enjoyed the one against bahamut, but this fight was perfect. Perfect lenght, song and gameplay.
Long have I suffered the disappointment of lesser rivals. But no more! O my constant congregation, salvation is come! Rejoice as our souls are granted peace unending! And how do you know this day will come? What proof have you?! Why, you, Mythos. Your mere existence is proof of the Lord's grand design. No! I'll never serve your god!
Barnabas dropping the act was a thing of sheer beauty. The dude was the most insane of the bunch but never got the chance to fight an actual worthy opponent. So the second he met one, he became *unhinged*
Endwalker released 2 years ago, and the soundtrack was just released on streaming last month. This is how CBU3 and Soken do things to further their CD sales.
It's called the riddle because there is an actual riddle in the song that references Odin. I'm paraphrasing here and can't remember it word for word but in the song it says "who on 10 feet run 3 eyes and 1 onward to victory, darkness comes"
I love how "Quieting" is him priming so hard that he shuts out Ultima.
God or not, *nothing* was gonna stop him from having his final fight.
Barnabas primed so hard all over the screen

Barnabas was just Zenos with a god in his head
Barnabas: I am yours, Mythos, claim me as your prize!
What if he was freakabas and instead of Odin it was freakin.
2:13 My made-up lyrics, lol.
Come eat!
We have dinner!
We have mashed potatoes and green beans!
Forsee this dinner with us!
wait i thought those were the official lyrics
It goes so well 😂
oh my god you have now idea of how much I laughed 😂😂
Barnabas: Come mythos enjoy this dinner, because I worked so long to make it.
Barnabas was such a hyped, badass, depraved character. Such a complicated yet simple foe. Perfect for Clive to overcome. Barnabas was one of the few characters that took Clive EVERYTHING to defeat. A worthy challenge.
And all without the Eikons abilities instead just pure man to man fight
The official lyrics from the soundtrack:
The twain
On ten feet run
Three eyes and one
Trained upon victory
Foreseen
With steel, darkness comes

Barnabas dropping the act was a thing of sheer beauty.
The dude was the most insane of the bunch but never got the chance to fight an actual worthy opponent.
So the second he met one, he became *unhinged*
Im hearing a lot of tactics instruments in this and im not complaining lol
I love you
This battle and ost were so fuking intense. I remember how much im excited in this fight with the intensity of mysic
Reminds me "In searching of light" from Final Fantasy V
Fun fact: this game was heavy inspired by Final Fantasy V since most of the devs making the game have stated that it is indeed their favourite
Great ost and nice battle
I still think it is Kind of weird that they are not releasing the OST on Spotify or any streaming site.
Give it a few years

Not remembering what the boss themes were, I was not expecting this to be called "The Riddle"
It's called the riddle because there is an actual riddle in the song that references Odin. I'm paraphrasing here and can't remember it word for word but in the song it says "who on 10 feet run 3 eyes and 1 onward to victory, darkness comes"
Hmm the more I look at Barnabas, he's partially inspires by Berserker Lancelot huh?
Il était quand même un peu chaud en mode FF 😅
