Austin goes over how he uses sends to add space, width, and depth to a vocal, while keeping a mix nice, tight, and clean. He also goes over his go-to sends template for every session!

Dude. Your processing is amazing, however what’s even more impressive is how well you teach it.
So good.
LItterally woke and saw this video Immediately got out of bed to get coffee and turn on my PC. Cubase 12 is loaded up. These videos are so great. Thank You so much for making these.
Hey Austin! Please make a video tutorial on how to align vocal takes in Cubase only without any other third party plugin.
hello austin , will you revamp your previous course? would be great if you do.
Righto, first tutorial video of the morning, a winner.
I've asked so many seasoned veterans and never got a direct answer until today. Thanks a bunch! Super useful!
This is absolutely my favorite channel for learning more about producing! Austin, you explain everything so well and you as well as the people you work with are so talented. I'm nowhere near being able to produce full productions, but this channel makes me feel like maybe one day I will get there. This may be a dumb question for those who are more experienced, but as a beginner- what is the difference between a bus and a send? They sound very similar from this video and I'm curious how you utilize them differently in a mix.

amazing template austin !!!

Love all the tips coming from you! It's amazing how you just share so much knowledge and straight to the point
Thanks again for all these incredible tips Austin!!! Made a song recently similar to one of your "How To Make" Series for Funk Pop and it's gotta be the favorite thing I've made in a long time. Hope you are doing well!
Literally I can't believe I just found you here. I thought I was the only one who found this hidden gem!
Well anyways, surprise hello there! ;3
@@eeveescloset hehe yes! Love this channel! Glad you found me too!! ☺️ Thanks for saying hello!
This was an awesome tutorial! Very thorough and well explained! Thanks so much!
Excellent video. I was already using sends, but you helped fill in some holes I had in my approach! Really insightful, clear, and useful!
Hey Austin, can you make tutorial about making music like Harry Styles?? I like the tips that you gave on this video good stuff.
Thank you so much!!!
👍👍👍 Great vid 👍👍👍
Needed and appreciated. Saves on CPU load too right?
Cool tutorial, this was so clear to understand thanks!

Great Video !!!

Another great video Austin! I was curious if you have tried Neutron 4 and your opinion on it. There has been a lot of hype and mixed opinions, sometimes plugins like these or Greg Wells Mixcentric can sound decent but boost certain frequencies too much in a mix that causes more work in some cases. Anyway, was just curious if you thought this is a time saving plugin or a cop out.
I noticed you grouped all your vox fx with your dry vocal . I always thought since they were parallel fx you would run them parallel into a vox fx bus and into your mixbus ?
They are. I have a vocal dry bus, a vocal fx bus, and an all vocals bus.
@@MakePopMusic ohh okay I must have misheard. Thank you 🤘. I have never tried a "vocal dry bus" . If only given a single vocal track, would this create phase issues? I.e duping the vocal track. One is sent to vocal dry bus and the other is sent to my stereo fx group.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nice intro track man,is this one of yours? Is that you on vocals?...anyways much thx for making this, just finished working on some stuff and made a point of setting aside some time to check this out...will update this as I get into it..(update)...nice tutorial as always, knew it would be,got some ideas, went to check out some stuff as I've been doing things along the lines of what you got into w/the 2 reverbs...will get back to this tomorrow, looking forward to seeing what you show re-delay etcetc...
what type of productions typically don't run vocals right down the middle?
Almost all modern productions have some sort of stereo widening, stereo delay, or stereo reverb on the lead.
Are u not on Spotify????????????? Plsss answer... i need to know...
I am! I release my own music but I’m mostly producing for others. Look up Austin Hull 😁
Hey. what about your facebook group? I've been waiting for a confirmation for days 🤷🏼♂️
Man make a mastering tutorial please🙏
Please I am a young producer in Ghana.I really need the UAD DIMENSIONS D can u help me please 🙏🙏🙏🙏
So are you sending ALL of your vocals to these sends? like your stacks and harmonies??
👆👆Thanks for watching and commenting I have something for you 🎁🎁👆...
I know this is sort of a vague question that can't have one answer, but is it normal for you to use lots of Sends for a single track? I've rarely used sends myself except for reverbs usually, but is it common for you to have like 4 or 5 sends dedicated to different effects, or do you just load all the effects onto one send? I know the video shows multiple but not sure if that is just for teaching purposes.
This is my normal workflow. Typically 5 sends on my vocals
@@MakePopMusic ah actually that makes sense, because you might not want all those effects being processed together. I am an instrumental kind of guy, but I do appreciate the production value of pop music and obviously your stuff and your channel. Would you ever do this many sends for something non-vocal? Like a lead guitar or lead synth sound? Thanks for always answering my questions on your videos, btw, I appreciate it so much!
Thank you so much for this one!
I have a question..
Can recommend for an alternative for the ‘Dimension D’ for Waves/fab filter users🙏
First
Great Job with this one!! At first I was like.. ok, cool a beginner lesson. Nice... But then you started showing your approach and ideas on the actual sends. Great tid bits for every level of person who watches it through. Genius vid, keep doing more like this! 🙏
