I think the reason why Ralsei doesn’t turn to stone is that his Home Fountain is the castle town fountain, which as said by Ralsei himself a little while before you questioned why he could be in the cyber world, can fit any Darkener. Therefore Ralsei should be able to fit in any dark world. Kinda just a story way to have the party always have a healer I guess. Also Fun Fact: Based on the freeze ring’s description talking about a person inside the ring, it’s to be assumed that the Addison that Noelle froze got put INSIDE the freezering, and if you talk to Lancer after you check your pocket or check what he says in your pocket when you’re in his room, he’s actually quickly hopping in and out of your key items.
About the Ralsei being born from the Castle Town fountain:YES THANK YOU FINALLY I've been commenting that everywhere, it's literally stated that Castle Town fountain is pure darkness and can be host to any darkner, and RALSEI WAS BORN FROM IT therefore he is compatible with every other dark world as well. I'm actually baffled that you're the first person on a deltarune video I've seen mention it, it's literally mentioned at the beginning of chapter 2
I see literally everyone say the thing about Ralsei being from the grand fountain, but oh my gosh no. Ralsei can be there because the darkeners allowed is decided by the will of the fountain.
@@Epsicronics another interpretation is that Castle Town is inside a storage closet, so anything would fit their theme. Also, Ralsei said the darkner MAY not fit into the dark fountain's theme, it's not guaranteed. By that logic, of course a spade card wouldn't suit a computer lab, nor a rules card (although rules could be interpreted as an 'algorithm' hence Roulx could resist a bit longer). We don't know wich object Ralsei is, but as I said, it could be basically anything in the storage, as well as something that could appear in any sort of room.
While I agree with you from the logistics and game development standpoint, I think most people (including myself) are confused as to why Toby didn't explicitly spell this out, and why Ralsei just brushes it off as if it's nothing--four separate times. Toby is a master of deceptive storytelling, and uses every word spoken or unspoken to foreshadow something in the future. The idea that he simply forgot to have Ralsei explain how he can travel between dark worlds seems unlikely at best. Not outside of the realm of possibility, just... unlikely. Especially with how suspiciously portrayed Ralsei is throughout both chapters so far. He's obviously hiding something; it's reasonable to assume that this is part of it.

She literally not only has magic at her disposal, is the only character in the game actually capable of killing and her most powerful spell either turns a strong boss into ice OR LITERALLY VAPORISES normal enemies, are we really gonna believe that she couldn't trap the Addison into the magic ring?
Well if she has ice powers why not just freeze him freeze the ring fuse the frozen Addison with the frozen ring and unfreeze them it would be a logical answer since you're fusing them naturally one of the outcomes is the Addison appears in the ring
I'm personally under the belief that it's a mini-Noelle in the ring, as after you equip the Freeze Ring to her and she grows stronger, she gets a little orb around her, that looks oddly like a snow globe, and as you said, the freeze ring description states that it has a snow globe and that it seems like someone is inside. _I have seen nobody talk about this fact so I felt I should mention it_

When starting a new C2 save file, the game checks to see if you’ve ever beaten Jevil, on any save file. If you have, it will always give you the shadow crystal and Jevilstail in the bottom right of castle town. However other things like Onion-san and Thrasher are random, most likely because they don’t affect the game too majorly.
I think for Onion-san it checks if you talked to him or not if you used a chapter 1 save file to continue. If you started a fresh chapter 2 save file, the default choice is “not talked to”. Almost anything has this default choice in case of starting a fresh new file, the only exception is Alphys at the start of Chapter 2, where not talking to her in the epilogue of Chapter 1 will trigger an unique dialogue, but when starting the chapter 2 as a fresh file, the default option is “being talked to”, for some reason. Thrasher…is a bit more complicated. I think there’s also a default configuration for it, but i saw some speedrunners using RNG manipulation to change some parts of it (for categories that don’t allow Chapter 1 to be played)…so maybe it IS random to some extent?
@@MrGukkos Its just whatever you got when you defeated Jevil. I believe Merg last killed Jevil, so he would have gotten the Devilsknife, where as Charrii probably spared Jevil, so he would get the Jevilstail

Considering that she was able to have the arcade cabinet delivered to her, and then it exploded thus making it a non permanent fixture, I would say it counts as a mobile game.
I really love QueenCreeps’ voice for Queen, it fits her posh nature while still being comedic and funny. Also I’m really looking forward to whatever the rest of the Snowgrave route looks like, in Chapter 3 onward.

Also, it's entirely likely a monster soul is powerful enough in this game to seal fountains. It's just one of the things where we don't have enough information yet.

A lot of people assume that the fun gang makes the coasters themselves but the dialogue happening while the sound effect of the coasters being readied implies they are being put together on their own, plus the dialogue also implies they want to use the coasters to get to the fountain as fast as possible so why take your time customizing it when that takes too much time. Another piece of evidence is noelle and burghleys coasters. Berdly pretty much has to same coaster as us, it’s the same size and pretty similar customisations. Noelle on the other hand, who is consistently shown to be given special treatment by the queen and is clearly her favorite lightner, gets a much larger and flashier coaster. It’s longer, has sled skis and is just flashier. If they were built by berdly and noelle themselves I would expect noelle to make the more modest coaster and berdly be the one to pull out all the stops. These were clearly more like gifts

with sin 45, I'm pretty sure ralsei mentions at some point that the closet fountain is made of 'pure darkness', and later, queen says Noelle will make a 'neo dark fountain', implying the existence of... well a NON neo dark fountain. which is why darkners from other fountains can live in castle town. lancer and rouxls are from a neo dark fountain, but ralsei is prince of the CLOSET, not card kingdom, so he's from a pure fountain. I guess that means he's ok? that also means while card kingdom and cyber world were made by the knight, the closet was formed by... someone else...?
My headcanon is that the closet dark world was made by Kris and Asriel as children, since they used to play in it all the time as kids, as their safe haven, and when Asriel left for university, Kris made Ralsei, as a version of their brother who could physically never leave them, as they rely on Kris for their existence.

And it's actually not even three files but 4-7 files per chapter because there's 3 files for save slots, 1 file for auto save data and completing the chapter creates unique completion files for each save slot. So yeah, Toby and team made sure our progress between chapters and save files is thoroughly recorded for future use instead of being overwritten
Then again, game didn't remember me meeting Onion-san either but did remember telling Noelle about Susie and chalk. They definitely overcomplicated something in the process

8:47 Well you did the puzzle first try but if you miss once you'll notice Noelle won't go on because of the mice,, and you have to press the button to exit that room, so until the puzzle isn't resolved mice will still continue to appear and Noelle won't be able to pass. So yeah you have to solve it because of her, there's no other point
I was honestly very happy when they learned S-Action and R-Action, then I finally had the freedom to make Kris use an item in battle and not have to have them act every single round, cause now I can have Susie and Ralsei take care of that to some degree. (6:30)

@@Blocky_Frog no, he got the Jevilstail, and Jevils Shadow Crystal, so no, Spamton Neo doesn't seem to effect that, only if you've fought/won againts Jevil. Spamton *does* have a shadow crystal, but I'm assuming this is a new chapter 2 run, before Neo, and getting Neo Shadow crystal before fighting him doesnt make sense.
If you have a complete save file and you do another blanl chapter 2 save file, it determines if you defeated Jevil in the original one depending if you were violent or merciful I don't remember correctly but if you are pacifist you get the jevilknife and viceversa if you were violent

to be fair if you talk to Lancer in his room after checking him in the inventory he remarks that he's out of breath from doing a bit of acrobatics to get into Kris's Pocket and then back out to seem in two places at one, he also remarks about this in the inventory area as well.

3:28 the closet was the card dark world and the directions to its fountain is exactly the same as the directions to the closet. i assume that the dark world directions would be the same as light world
@@churro1201 It’s definitely not minor. Without that detail, we were actually just about to accidentally kill everyone. When telling someone to get rid of something that’s gonna end the world, it’s good practice to tell them that and how it’s gonna end the world. It’s a bad idea to omit any detail from something like a “Chosen One” prophecy.

@@churro1201 The group was about to make another Dark Fountain after the Giga Queen fight, which would inadvertently bring the Titans closer to being freed and the world closer to an apocalypse. Seeing this, Ralsei told them about the Titans after withholding that information up until now, causing the entire group including Queen to abort the idea entirely, narrowly averting a potential apocalypse. It might not have been going to immediately end the world, but Ralsei sure acted like it was about to with how he scolded everyone about it. Ralsei just said we should seal Dark Fountains, he never said anything about Titans rising up and wreaking havoc if too many Fountains are made.

I always assumed that it was Noelle being controlled and that was like a visual of what she's going through
When starting a new C2 save file, the game checks to see if you’ve ever beaten Jevil, on any save file. If you have, it will always give you the shadow crystal and Jevilstail in the bottom right of castle town. However other things like Onion-san and Thrasher are random, most likely because they don’t affect the game too majorly.
It's not always Jevilstail, Merg notably got Devilsknife in his playthrough.

I think for Onion-san it checks if you talked to him or not if you used a chapter 1 save file to continue.
If you started a fresh chapter 2 save file, the default choice is “not talked to”. Almost anything has this default choice in case of starting a fresh new file, the only exception is Alphys at the start of Chapter 2, where not talking to her in the epilogue of Chapter 1 will trigger an unique dialogue, but when starting the chapter 2 as a fresh file, the default option is “being talked to”, for some reason.
Thrasher…is a bit more complicated. I think there’s also a default configuration for it, but i saw some speedrunners using RNG manipulation to change some parts of it (for categories that don’t allow Chapter 1 to be played)…so maybe it IS random to some extent?

A lot of people assume that the fun gang makes the coasters themselves but the dialogue happening while the sound effect of the coasters being readied implies they are being put together on their own, plus the dialogue also implies they want to use the coasters to get to the fountain as fast as possible so why take your time customizing it when that takes too much time. Another piece of evidence is noelle and burghleys coasters. Berdly pretty much has to same coaster as us, it’s the same size and pretty similar customisations. Noelle on the other hand, who is consistently shown to be given special treatment by the queen and is clearly her favorite lightner, gets a much larger and flashier coaster. It’s longer, has sled skis and is just flashier. If they were built by berdly and noelle themselves I would expect noelle to make the more modest coaster and berdly be the one to pull out all the stops. These were clearly more like gifts

That's the thing, save files of two chapters are *entirely separate*. Two different sets of 3 files. And it's actually not even three files but 4-7 files per chapter because there's 3 files for save slots, 1 file for auto save data and completing the chapter creates unique completion files for each save slot. So yeah, Toby and team made sure our progress between chapters and save files is thoroughly recorded for future use instead of being overwritten

It’s definitely not minor. Without that detail, we were actually just about to accidentally kill everyone. When telling someone to get rid of something that’s gonna end the world, it’s good practice to tell them that and how it’s gonna end the world. It’s a bad idea to omit any detail from something like a “Chosen One” prophecy.

The group was about to make another Dark Fountain after the Giga Queen fight, which would inadvertently bring the Titans closer to being freed and the world closer to an apocalypse. Seeing this, Ralsei told them about the Titans after withholding that information up until now, causing the entire group including Queen to abort the idea entirely, narrowly averting a potential apocalypse. It might not have been going to immediately end the world, but Ralsei sure acted like it was about to with how he scolded everyone about it. Ralsei just said we should seal Dark Fountains, he never said anything about Titans rising up and wreaking havoc if too many Fountains are made.
