Britannic will survive another 2 centuries because of the low depth and temperature. In titanic’s circumstances she has less time because she is deeper and also she broke in half.
@@rafiqstarline she is wayyyy more intact that titanic and she is covered with coral which fights off the metal eating bacteria. So she will definitely last another 100 years
amazing how due to the circumstances of Depth, Slow Current, and Temperature (i may have missed some other factors) the HMHS Britannic will out live this current generation and RMS Titanic's deterioration
The Britannic was the sister ship to the titans Olympic and Titanic, and the fancier of the three. Had she survived she would've joined her surviving sister in the Atlantic Run. She served as a hospital ship during WW1. During one of her runs to Gallipoli, she hit a mine close to shore. Fortunately, only the ships crew and the medical teams were on board. The radio operator also immediately broadcasted a SOS signal. Order was maintained during the disembarkment, though a group did rush the boats and left the ship too soon. Unfortunately those who did, around 40, were slain or wounded as the boats were sucked into the propellers. However, those were the only casualties. The survivors of the sinking had enough time to watch their ship sink before a fleet of fishing boats and Royal Navy ships rescued them and brought them to shore. It is highly fortunate that the sinking didn't occur during the return process, when more than a thousand wounded soldiers would have been on board.
I see people asking for Lusitania in 500 years, which I'd love to see as the Lusitania is my favorite ship, but it'd be funny if you made it collapse and be reduced to a brown stain in less than 100 years, as it'd probably do that since it lies in high currents and is basically obliterated, being split and mostly collapsed.
As far as I understand, that same depth and warm waters has enabled life to grow all over her and that life protects her from a lot of the same things that eat away at other wrecks like Titanic and the like. Shes essentially got an extra coating protecting her.
Process of decay is so beautiful... But it's so sadly to see. I don't know why. Things, that humans made... It's broken and nobody don't need them anymore. They are decaying in darkness, broken and abandoned. So sad. Beautiful animation, beautiful music. Thank you.
At this point I feel like we could raise the britannic since we have the right tech and it’s in relatively good shape other than the bow it would have to be raised separately
The Britannic is quite well preserved, unlike the Titanic, although if you think about it physically, the shallow depth and temperature, and the Britannic sank whole, unlike its older brother, who broke into two parts, there is nothing left of the stern on the Titanic, and the bow is getting worse and worse every day.. In any case, any attempt to raise the ships, they will fall apart.
It's sad to say, but she will be the last remaining Olympic class ship around for people to see in person since the Titanic is going to be gone way earlier than the Britannic and the Olympic was sadly scrapped.
Damn it takes 500 years for the front of the ship to be completely dissolved in rust. And on top of that science the ground will grow over current ground the ship resides on.
The Britannic, because of its location(Which is the Mediterranean), saltiness than The Oceans, and a much lower depth and in one piece with the temperature, The Britannic might be the last wreck of the Class
My looking at this and comparing it to the titanic it’s a higher chance of the Britannic to be raised but the better thing to do for now is to just let it rest.
The ship will be here in real world for a lot more years, because, the pressure in that deep circumstance’s,is not so bad,not like titanic’s 3827 meters.

He was actually the Olympians not the titans
@@Robert_and_grandson that has no relevance whatsoever to what I'm talking about
Titans? Its the olympic class (not being rude)
And 30 people died, not 40.
I love the fact the bow just disappeared from the wreck
The bow just deteriorated and sank into the seabed

I never understood how the brittanic has not completely succumbed to corrosion since it is in warm salty water which is not easy on iron.

I can't imagine what the Edmund Fitzgerald wreck would look like in that timespan
It will be in great condition.
Much the same as it has looked for the last 47 years.
Last I heard a good portion of the bow section has collapsed…?
It'll last forever since it's in freshwater.

The pressure is sooo high in titanic depth, if they tried to lift it even a few inches, it would turn into dust
you mean “sister” not brother. Most ships are use to female pronouncion

the corals covering the britannic actually protects her, so it will not collapse quick like the titanic
