When i came home back to Abuja in 2022 for Christmas. I met this girl who did my hair wonderfully! Normally, in the US, i hate braids done by my mom's friends because of how tight they would be and the pain would last for 2 weeks and the itchiness from the braid gel. I even had bumps the day after braiding from how tight they were. But I kept quiet until my motwhe realized my hair hqs veey short in the back. I went natural and ontk did low tension styles. I was 16, my braider was 18, I still scared to get boho braids again because of previous experiences. But not to worry because she was wonderful! She let me have a break to eat something after sitting in a chair for 5 hours and would even ask me if she was doing the braids too tightly. It was also the first time I got stitch braids in the front. And once we were done late at night, the braids didn't even hurt that much than what I thought they would from experiences in the US. The next day when my fanily headed home by plane. I could lay down on my head and not sit up uncomfortably or have my head in a weird position from how heavy they were. That has to be one if the best braiders I ever had!

yes it’s kinky twist and is usually done with marley hair that you can find at your local beauty supply store if you’re in the u.s. not sure what others across the waters call them or what type of hair they use ❤
It's actually called spring twist not afro. You can find spring twist hair at some beauty supply stores. I snagged some packs marked down. Hair is softer and springy, unlike kinky twist.
