I will say this man haha yes he doesnt know who hindenberg is but also outside of the states its crazy how most of the world refuses to even talk about this important part of human history, that being said even in the states there seems to be a push not to bring anything ww2 up at all, or should i say at least in the public education sector, i have my theories, but thats for another time. But basicly people are not told about these things anymore so its not his fault he doesnt know, its the public school system, that being said the amount of ww2 info has only ever grown if you or anyone care to learn about it, also with that being said that info has always been changed to fit a country, culture and or time according, so basicly study hard

Hindenburg was the German supreme military commander in World War One (it was called "The Great War" back then) and then he was elected as the German president in 1925. He was hardly an interesting fellow though. He was weak and ineffective, and failed to hold off the rise of Hitler & the National Socialists. He appointed Hitler to the office of Chancellor in 1933 and died a year later. Hindenburg was interesting only in that he could have stopped Hitler's career but instead failed miserably. If Germany had a strong president during the 1920s then history would have been much different.
