I couldn’t hold back the tears when you were in the recovery room. I hope the whole family watches this episode to get a better understanding of what went on with Jonah. Prayers continue. ❤️🙏
It would be a real eye-opener for each of the kids to watch that are but I loved it when Jonah said “I just want to get out of here”😂
I spent a month in that hospital last year… hard to watch for me. But there are some godly people in that place
it's heart warming how he tells you he is nervous and leans on your chest for comfort and support you both not only have remarkable kids but are remarkable parents as well blessings and prayers

They're all growing up so fast. Seeing Jonah waking up reminded me that no matter how old they are they still need their mama. Great job by Josiah and Lily stepping up with the chores.
I hope the growth plates will survive and his leg can resume growing. Stay positive and keep inflammation down. See what they can do about stem cells. I love your family.
He's already back home! Hey Jonah. Be gentle. Use your walker on wheels or tennis balls to give you safe walking and to relieve pressure while you are healing. Try anti-inflammatory everything and stay hydrated.
Justin, it is so endearing to see you physically express your love for your children by touch and words. Men of my day could not do that. My Dad was the exception. He was a "John Wayne" type of man. But we knew he adored our mother and loved us kids. I always knew he loved me and that meant the world to me growing up and as an adult. He passed 15 yrs ago this month and I still think of him and miss him everyday.
I think of my father as a cross between John Wayne and James Garner. My father swaggered like John Wayne from being on a ship for 20 years (M. Marines). and he had James Garner's black curly hair and a very dry sense of humor. He also was not real affectionate but we knew how much he loved us.
I also lost him in February of 2005.
Just thought we sorta shared circumstances.... :)🌱
Take it easy Jonah and don't rush it, a quarter million aunties are on your team and we're known for our healing qualities. 'nuff said.

Seeing Jonah respond to his Mothers loving hand while he was semi-conscious in the recovery room made this old man shed a tear for him and my sainted Mother.
FYI, this kind of thing doesn't get easier even after your kids are grown. Bless Jonah's heart. I pray he heals quickly.
Jonah did great! I know that you are so proud of him. ❤ The other children were exception! And let’s not forget gramma coming over at the crack of dawn. It was a group effort! Oh gosh that took me back to when my son had his appendix removed and when my daughter had her tonsils removed. The recovery and bring in the room with them was a memory that they and I will never forget , as a parent you feel helpless and have to trust someone else to help your child 😢. He is an amazing young man, be very proud of him!
I hope that Jonah gave permission to be filmed during such vulnerable moments. He really is an amazing young man!

I wouldn't have left such a comment either (I'll admit sounds a little condescending could be worded better) but I see Sharon's point is all I'm saying. Karen's are known for being entitled or demanding, nosey on the internet is a pretty regular thing. Considering you watch these videos as well, you like to be in people's business too😁

I live in Australia and frequently access health care for a number of chronic diseases. Seeing the surgeries your brave boy has gone through and the recovery just reminds me how grateful we are to have amazing doctors and hospital care in our countries. There are so many people around the world where this would have had a devastating outcome due to their inability to access even basic health care! Wishing you a speedy recovery Jonah and I'm praying for your bone growth! ❤

Jonah, good to see you're home, and the screws are out of your hip. Give your body the time to heal. I know you want to go do things. It is a knee jerk reaction to feel pain with the teen. There are tears. I had an accident when I was about his age and had to have major surgery and hospitalization for 10 days and 6+ months recovery. My Sister had to carry my school books for 4 or 5 month's because the doctor would not allow me to lift even the books. Try being a big strong teen and required to have your Sister carry the books. I learned to be humble and understand others. Now 80 years old and very pleased and thankful with the work the surgeon did saving my life and making future life better.

Justin, you can’t rush the medical world. Mind you, when you’re working the homestead and fall behind, you catch up. The hospital will do the same. Seriously, you do not want them rushing on Jonah’s care. My son, at age of four, was diagnosed with Leggs Calves Perthes. Not exactly the same but definitely worth the read since it is so similar.

Have you ask the doctor about getting a lift on his shoe to help him. Walk better and with limping it can put your back out hope he gets better

When I was 13 I did something similar, requiring a plate, pins and screws. It was NOT fun. I feel for the guy. Speedy recovery. Don't worry too much about leg length. Mine is a cm les in length and its never given me issues.. I'm 50 now.

God Bless him. As soon as I heard he was going to have to have a 3rd surgery it made me sick for him. I have had a hip replacement. I was just sick to see him have to do the first surgery, then the 2nd, and now the 3rd. Your poor son. I pray he will be fine after this. If his leg continues to be shorter then you need to talk to the doctor for a heel lift to put in his shoes actually about 2 or 3 of them. They ate like adding another sole inside his shoe. Ask his doctor about it. I only had to wear mine for about 10 months. Then it was better.

Justin/ Jonah-my dad was in a car accident 43 years ago n had serval surgeries to repair many issues. His legs were pinned by the motor n bench seat. Spent 3 month in rehab learning to walking/ other things. 6 months of intense therapy. Say that to say this- listen to your doctors n follow recommendation on therapy will do wonders on your outcome. Lastly if you continue to have different leg length look into a specific shoe with a lift because, most important to have the back/ spine level.
Get well young man. Your Dad really needs your skills.
