I'd like to see Reptile discover that the Edenians were behind the conspiracy to keep his people from their "shapeshifting" ability. His ladder ending told us there's definitely a conspiracy so it would be a perfect way for a manipulator two weasel their way into his head, turn him against the good guys, and cause him to make a deal with the baddies. I just want to see that silent but violent, feared assassin Syzoth. The badass that took some effort to even earn the right to face in the original.

I agree with you. Bi-Han is the only cryomancer so he can't die. I guess there could be a new cryomancer to take the mantle but it would feel sorta cheap to just introduce a new one again. People thinking Scorpion becoming Sub Zero is silly. He was born with fire powers so that's gotta be his deal forever. I could see him dying and becoming the specter scorpion. That could work...
I'm down with your Smoke idea; having him be "resurrected" as a cyborg. I just wonder where this new Hanzo kid comes into play ...

Ima keep it a thou! If they kill off lui kang and give raiden back his god powers that’s going to be the stupidest thing they have done next to kameos instead of tag! Why would raiden sacrifice his immortality for lui to become fire god for the lui to go to the new universe and give him the same powers back! I mean they made many mistakes in the story with the multiverse bs but making raiden back into the original raiden basically would be the worst mistake they made.
I have been playing since the original mk on the nes/sega/n64 back in the 90s and I’ll say an unpopular opinion! Tobias/boon/midway MK can’t be topped by NRS!
I actually would love to see Kuai Liang and Smoke die so that the story can be more emotional and epic and make Hanzo Scorpion have more meaning now and/or in the future and to have more of Bi Han kick ass and torment Hanzo every time they fight

Yea I want sub zero to live but if the Lin kuei fail smoke to be a cyber he’s probably Enenera which is my least in my list on my aftermath list right now
I think Bi Han will die, and Kuai Liang will train Hanzo Hasashi to become the next Sub-Zero. At that point, we will have a Sub-Zero for MK13 and Noob for KP2/MK13.

This video makes me wonder... is it worth talking about the chances of a character actually "Dying"?
On a game that stablishes the existence of countless timelines this discussion has lost all sense.
Quan Chi and Shang Tsung not being as powerful this time makes sense seeing as how they had to be built up from the meaningless lives Liu Kang set them into. I tend to think their roles in Aftermath would involve them growing their power and by MK13 they will be back to how they were in the previous timeline.
Geras literally cannot die... every time his body is destroyed, it reconstitutes itself stronger than before.
Mileena turning bad can easily be explained by her Tarkat affliction getting worse. It could be an easy answer if they wanted to make Baraka bad again.
Nitara getting a better voice actress is really all she needs.
As for the ninjas... I am hoping that they don't kill off Bi Han... this is the best opportunity we have for getting to know him before he was Noob Saibot. I think a more interesting way to do Noob this time is make him Bi Han and Kuai Liang's father. Imagine the potential disillusionment arc Kuai Liang and Smoke would have seeing that he is not the man they thought he was... and it would vindicate Bi Han's attitude about their father somewhat.
Honestly, I'm gonna be very upset if Kuai Liang gets killed off... he's always been my favourite character in every era. But if they absolutely had to this time... he should come back as a vengeful spectre like the old Scorpion did, and NOT as Noob Saibot. Hanzo can be a whole new thing this time around, but I don't see him being on the roster until MK13 since right now he's still a kid. But I do agree about Smoke... I really do see him being forcibly cyberized by the Lin Kuei Cyber Initiative. In fact I see the ranks of the Shirai Ryu being absolutely decimated by a campaign of kidnapping and forced cyberization... a bit like what Sektor did to Kuai Liang's reconstituted Lin Kuei order in MK11.
Yes Kuai needs to Go and Hanzo takes back his Mantle of Scorpion and this time kitana can be Hanzo's new Harumi

If they bring in Noob Saibot I reckon it’d be cool to kill Smoke and give him that title. The Smoke powers and the shadow powers of Noob Saibot’d pair really well. Have Noob Saibot Smoke team up with Bi Han to give Kuai Liang more motivation to take Bi Han down and free his “real” brother.
I don't know if Reptile being a bad guy again would work considering the Deadly Alliance already took advantage of him once and I doubt he would ever have an excuse to help them again. As for the idea with killing Ashrah and Sareena, I could probably see that happening, the only problem would be the "Ashrah and Reptile turning against Earthrealm" thing. Instead, maybe someone like Bi-han attacks Ashrah's clan and kills Sareena in the process (why exactly I haven't thought about too much but I'll update this when I come up with something), leading Ashrah to go after Bi-han and abducted by the bad guys. Ashrah would then be the bait for Syzoth (and possibly Ermac since Syzoth already asked him for help in the intros). From there, someone (my idea was Shang Tsung) could either kill Ashrah which drives Syzoth off the edge and then he can kill Shang Tsung to avenge both of his dead spouses OR Quan Chi could bring her back to the Sisterhood of Shadow and then Syzoth would have to fight her and possibly kill her. I know this is a lot but I would like to hear someone's take on this.
Keep bi Han as Sub Zero kill off smoke or Kuai Liang but keep bi Han a live as Sub Zero
I hope they make tekada part of aftermath cos it just does not make sense putting him in game if he does not end up in story

Just an idea, most likely won't happen.. But, what if Rain does die and HE becomes Noob Siabot. Making his water powers black and inky like former Noob Siabot, but with more elegant - finesse(due to the power being watery 🤷🏿♂️). Rid himself of the staff due to Quan Chi's magic boosting his magic. Having rain become more ninja like, like his former iterations. With all that Noob swag... 🏄🏾♂️

Don't wanna see smoke and scroipon die or the new version of Radien going back to mortal kombat 11 until the aftermath expspation for mortal kombat 1 comes out still appreciate what they're trying to do with mortal kombat 1 but 11 just has a lot more content and 2 fully complete stories ❤❤😊

Kenny bomb i really think that kung lao should be the new noob saibot even though I know he is not apart of the ninja family dynamic and it would be cool or hot depending how you look at it but i think Johnny cage or kensi should be the new spector scorpion and I see kitana turning on her own sister mileena by snapping her sister's neck and stabbing her own father while her mother is inside of him plus I say we keep li may and tanya around until i don't know maybe mortal kombat 20 and reiko and shao die along with quanchi and shangsung

Kuai Liang can't possibly be Noob Saibot.
The reason Bi Han became Noob in previous timelines was because there was a lot of darkness lurking within his heart. Quan Chi turned him into Noob by stripping away his humanity and leaving only that darkness.
Kuai Liang does NOT have that darkness. In fact he is even more naive in this timeline than the ones before. I get the feeling that Bi Han knows something about their father that he and Tomas do not.
