Great video! I am watching every TMB video to prep myself as my daughter, (24) and me, her mom (64) hike it in Sept. We are just praying for little to no rain on on descents so those knee issues don't become more difficult. Thanks for sharing, happy to hear you made such wonderful friends along the way!
This is such a nice and relaxing video. Halfway through right now and I really enjoy that voice over style. Im going to do it in early august and this got me even more excited. Hope to see more from you in the future!
Love your video. Thanks! Your closing sentences reminded me of my backpacking experience at my 20’s. I started to plan for my family’s TMB next summer. My 11-year-old son is very athletic and plays sports seriously. We have been camping in some National Parks such as Zion, Arcadia. But he became hesitated when hearing he would be hiking for 7 + days. I definitely think TMB will be an eye opening experience for him to challenge the mind/body and immerse in the nature.
I've also asked other. I go to Chamonix in 3 weeks, but today can't find a unbooked gites efugios at half my stops (in Italy or Switzerland) in the TMB, will I usually find a public camp site there to put up tent at the end of my day? Also, great "classic" style photos and composition, you really put effort in carrying that camera around and look to have a good time.
So Switzerland and you can find camp sites very easily. I used the FarOut map and it shows them for you so it is easier to plan your days. The refugios in these three countries have camp sites outside of them also for a small fee and even let you eat inside them as well. Italy does NOT have camp sites outside of them and you need to make your way to designated ones which makes it a bit more tricky.
Arrived home Sunday from walking/wild camping the TMB. It’s a life changing experience. Awesome video👍

Love that it connected with you! Luckily the TMB is a lot more social than other multi-day hikes so i feel like it is the perfect entry point.
Great video did the tmb in June this year in eight day loved it and met some fantastic people.
How snowy was it in June? Planning on doing it June this year

Ive just been watching a guy youve included in your video on his channel! The one with the rab hoodie
Love the film photos!! What camera did you take those on? I'm hoping to do this hike this summer or next - looks beautiful!
Thank you! It was taken on a hasselblad 500cm. I highly recommend doing the hike as well!
Bro just convinced me to do it myself and also record it! thanks :)
enjoy!
What camera did you use for your photos please?
Great video man! Is it possible to camp outside refugios for a fee? Or do you have to find a designated campsite?

Hey Thomas, what remote control do you use for the Hasselblad? Thank you very much!
What is the advised training for this? It seemed he didn't train for it😅
I didn't train for it. I think any form of leg exercise would be helpful, especially something to strengthen your knees for the descents.
Which month was this trip?
this was in August.
When did you walk please? July?
I started July 22 of 2022!
@@ThomasSkrlj I'm starting july 22 2023 lol!
@@sherryflavour3791I arrived home Sunday, it’s a wonderful experience. Good luck!
