You got it easy. My last trip i got a leaking hub seal, a air leak i can't isolate yet, and 2 small leaking coolant lines gotta be replaced - freightliner right. My executive mechanic, me, gotta fix this stuff, shops want $150/hr lolol. And then there's the 2 lost trailer tires, one got cut in it, other blowed up like 5 sticks of kaBoom. Still wanna be a O/O? i think about this every day for last 30+yrs.
Yea Sammy. Me and the wife use the loves Stops all the way down 95 from Pa. To Florida when we go. I have the exits memorized. There all pretty clean. Common DAWG. You been after that APU Going on a year now. Time to visit HAGAI YA KNOW. APU would be better then Idling your engine all the time.
It’s always something brother if it’s got tits or tires you’re going to have trouble with it eventually 😂😂😂 My wife and my Kenworth are one in the same !!! when they get upset and start making noise or blowing sensors. I just throw $100 bills at them until they’re happy again. 😉
I have a Thermal King on my 2021 W9. All I can say is, it’s “junk”. Hasnt worked properly since last fall. Take it in to Thermal King, get charged $500 for service and the APU still doesn’t work.🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Thermo King uses Yanmar motors........yours is worth maybe scrap price. I got rid of my 2015 Thermo King Apu replaced it with a Green Apu. The "junk's" wiring harness was going bad
Preventive maintenance. Oil samples of engine , transmission, axels and coolant. Get under the truck daily. Push pull parts to check hoses, brackets other accesories. I've found things loosen ( roads that are in name only. ) and break. Like 18 month dealer only tensioner that failed on a "rough road ". Lost a customer to that one. Be as pro active as possible. Todays parts are not made to last and the neglected highway system where we cant see a freaking road sign.because of trees in the way or it was blown over by the wind , knocked over in a mva. Sad but when you see your truck parts falling apart just like the roads. Act on replacing parts or calling the dpw. Or 911 to let them know sow you dont loose two weeks use of a vehicle because the road is like creators..... Anyway be on purpose and keep trucking ....
A.p.u... auxiliary power unit. How much does a generator cost. Thing outside the box. Replaced almost every hose on my truck. Coolant leaks are more expensive than hoses. Recently. Did the water pump.myself. things are that tight
I had same issue, turned out that the air compressor head was cracked & lose coolant & put air in system. Dug further #5 cylinder was getting coolant in it... I just done rebuild & found out #5 fire ring had crack in it...
@@MakeCentsTrucking it took me 2 months to rebuild it myself. I used ATL diesel for all my parts. I repainted each piece as I put it back on. Quickserve gives you all torque specs. My main & rod bearings were perfect. It's been hot & hard work but saved alotta $ doing it myself.
@joshualeeward9831 2 months 🤔 saved a lot of money 💰 doing it yourself 🤔 ummmmm? A professional shop would have had it done in 5-6 days. You would have been back in business making money in a week instead of loosing revenue for another 6 weeks. Just my opinion & not judging your decision. Stay safe bruh 👍🏾👌🏾
@@1tuffzx10 I get what you're saying. In life it's time or $. The shop only wanted to warranty the work for one year. In today's atmosphere that's alott to spend for 1 year warranty. You want it done right, do it yourself. Now I know my truck inside & out! I trust my work & warranty the work I done for life because I'm the only one to be responsible for it.
@joshualeeward9831 I get what your saying 💯 %. I was only looking at it from a financial standpoint. If you bought all the needed supplies & gave them 2 your trusted mechanic it would have been even quicker than the 36 hours than is by the ASE standard. I went 2 school 4 diesel mechanics so a engine is a engine 2 me. I wrenched a few years b4 I started driving. More power 2 you for doing it yourself 💪🏾. I'm just thinking about lost time & money 💰.

No kidding lol It’s still fun tho
Enjoy your videos bud hopefully truck prices will go down and i can grab one and hold on to it til the market gets better
LNW TRUCKING in Napoleon Ohio is a Green APU dealer and installer. I love my Green apu
We love our green APU also, 6,000+ hours and zero oil consumption on delvac 1 synthetic

Same thing happen to me but now loves want so much more info just for a shower. So I said screw it.
I bought a WAHL beard trimmer and shave my head to a buzz and no issues.
Cheaper to redo that APU.. You can do most of the work yourself. If I ever see ya I'll show you a good fix for that tension bar.

😂😂😂Truth!
Funny, I just started a new company that requests using Loves before the others. Today I set up my new card, the 1-800 number.

That’s all I’ve had with mine too man. It’s exhausting 🤷♂️
TK and Carrier suck. Green APU is so far superior and uses common parts you can get at any auto parts stores for half of TK or Carrier junk
The latch is optional depending on who is cleaning…😂
lmao right :)
Have the Apu rebuilt it won't cost $10k
Making 12 net no truck that is a reason I sold my truck bro no money
There is a company down in texas that refurbished the thermo knig apu. You might check Into that
💵💵Waaaay cheaper to keep rebuilding an old truck than buying a 220-250k new one in 2023💵💵
$10k will buy alot of hotels.
That wasn't water taken a hit off the shine jug🤣✌
lol :)
I use a good old fashion 1950’s Gillette single blade razor. 🪒

APUs are a waste of money. 5 year cost of ownership is about $20,000. I idle 1,000 hours/year. Which is $17,500 in diesel for 5 years.
I really fell for you guys still driving with these rates so low your all just wearing out your trucks for peanuts.
The only reason you need skirts is for CaliFuckYa. I just took mine completely off. Good to go!
Taking mine off too :)
Finding a good mechanic in the Marine industry is like finding a needle in a haystack.....surely this is true for a lot of industries these days.

That’s what I’m thinking of doing. I’ve re done everything on the outside. Just rebuild and be done

Had that happen too except it was an older lady 🤣
lmao Poor lady
Can rebuild Apu and write off on taxes
YES ✅
What it do bro
Might not be the not so cheap razor it 😊might be the hard head 😅
Probably lol
Wish I could email you about an app idea, but I can't find an address available to do so.

I think it sucks. My brother lost his job with them here in Ringgold

Why don't you get a Green APU
$$$
Green APU is so much nicer and way cheaper to repair or maintain with common used parts like Honda Civic condenser
O trucking is definitely ugly right now
35th from a loves 🫣
Bald guy to hald guy GILLETTE FUSION 5 for your head best one
That’s what I use 😎👊
Goodness..🍻 be the cream
Where was this last load from into
Went to Kissimmee with Potting materials
Shouldn't have bought a newer truck. Your a newbie and I expect mistakes. Plus you run elogs.
What makes me a noob? Just wondering lol
