As much as I can respect him, I think it would still be hard to forgive him, not from the perspective of a fan, but also from the perspective of the characters. as much as endeavor is trying to atone, I think even he knows that forgiveness for the crap he'd done to his family is likely never to happen, as Natsuo's hatred for him is justified given the neglect he did to him and Fuyumi and the abuse shouto and the mom went through. I can tell endeavor is trying, but the fact he's taking light but hopeful steps foward is very impressive.

Idk I think it's a more realistic situation with the todoroki family. I mean overhaul could fix eri's body like it never happened,it ain't realistic,I'm not saying it's right but the abuse is a more realistic situation that many people have experienced. Chisaki already paid for his sins, he lost his arms,father,organization, his friend, and everything he cultivated in the span of a single morning and is now rotting in jail. Both of them are in the wrong but endeavor is redeemable, it just depends on his family to forgive him in future. Oh yeah back to the topic, I think it's because chisaki looks good and is much younger and unmarried than endeavor, I mean the guy has kids, overhaul is what ,in his twenties . Just stating my humble opinion
I like overhaul but not because he is good looking like how most of the fandom like him. I like him coz he’s like thanos, he is saving everyone from something dangerous. His plans make sense, quirks are a disease to everyone. If u don’t have one then consider ur life over as everyone will treat u like ur different. Also quirks can kill a lot of ppl if reached to us extent and some ppl may not know how to control them. Literally the main character also had to have a quirk even though I expected midoriya to be like bat Man U know. Like has no super powers but can still measure up to his friends with his intelligence but no.
I'm loving the implementation of a gray character in the series. Not common in shonen. He did horrible things and that will never change. But he has realized that. He knows he can't erase what happened nor "fix" it, but he's trying to change and giving back to his family as much as he can.
Finally! That's what I like about Endeavour! He is great hero but shitty husband. There are soooo many real life cases like this, but no one adapt it to fiction
There are quite a lot of morally grey characters in the series besides endeavor, like gentle, la brava, twice, stain, hero public safety commission(government), hawks etc

Morally grey characters are really not uncommon though.... william from black clover, gajeel from fairy tail, tsukasa from dr stone? Byakuya from bleach, sasuke from naruto, a shit ton of characters from one piece, vegeta from db, hiei from yu yu hakusho, meruem from HxH, and the list goes on
There's no sign of forgiveness, she just understands the fact that he's trying to change, nothing more nothing less, that's it, that's really it, that's just about it.

i feel so bad for natsuo. being brothers with toya made him have an instant best friend. it’s something some people just don’t experience with their sister. they were best friends as well as brothers. he didn’t have shoto since endeavor separated him from the rest. losing toya must have been such a hard hit on him. i want to see more of natsuo in the future and i want him to be a part of the “dabi is toya” reveal. it would be so amazing to see natsuos side of things.. maybe fuyumis since she needed to take the roll of mother and help her brothers.
You know,I like Endeavor trying to be better,I like that he's willing to change,I like he's trying. But I also like that he struggles,I like his family being hesitant,I like Rei not being sure,Natsuo being resentful still. Cause it's realistic. Changing isn't magic. You struggle to change and people who knew the old you will not accept instantly that you're changing,they'll be hesitant. But you don't give up. You keep trying to change. And sooner or later everyone will see you have changed. I know why some seemed to be upset about it,but in my opinion Endeavor getting redemption is been taken well and it's also the best thing for the story.
I love the siblings for not harboring any ill will towards Shoto for getting his dads attention. This show subverts so many tropes and expectations but does it in a way where it doesn't look stupid.
This is actually pretty realistic take for a broken family like this. It's a bit too idealistic take on it, but it is surprisingly deep and respectful. Fuyumi still resents Endervor, but she hoped that everything can go back to the way it was. She clearly put a lot of work into trying to "fix" their relationship even if her goal isn't reaslistic and she constantly puts herself into uncomfortable situations. Natsuo just wants to move on from his abusive father. He loves and still grieving about Tonya. He comes home and tolerate Endeavor because he loves Fuyumi. Shoto is the absolute passive middle road kid. He said he'd just judge Endeavor. He makes a good point that just because Endervor is trying to be better doesn't mean it automatically warrant his forgiveness. He is also doing this for his mother.
I like how Endeavor is trying to redeem himself in the eyes of his wife and children. He has a lot of work to do obviously but at least he’s trying. Which is more than I can say for most people
Honestly, I can't say my perspective has shifted much. I get that Endeavor realized the error of his ways, and I get that he wants to change, and at first I found that pretty moving. But now that I’ve had some time to reflect on this, I gotta say, not much has changed in terms of how I feel about Endeavor. I know that some people like to talk about how he realizes how badly he messed up and wants to atone, but honestly, he’s kinda done the bare minimum as of right now. At least when it comes to actually owning up to what he did. So yeah, like I said, not much has changed. He hasn’t proven much as far as I’m concerned, and I still hate his guts. But hey, at least he apparently feels super guilty.
As he deserves, regret is an ugly monster that never goes away. I grew up in a super shitty household too. So while my dad is also only just now realizing just how badly he messed up his kids, he's made his bed, now he's gonna lie in it. He will only ever be on the outside looking in as far as his kids are concerned.

Came here from the manga. Man, I know it's hard. Yes, from the perspective of Shoto and his family, it's really hard to forgive Endeavor. But, seeing Enji who was willing to atone for his acts, let's give this dude a chance. Whether they would forgive him or not, at least he tried. Of course, it's not like we should ignore his family's feelings, but man's trying so hard to bring back his family. It would be really hard, but let's give them time to sort things out no matter what will be the outcome.
plus it seems they all the kids has a wrong idea of what happened and no one bothered to correct them, like shoto's mum pour hot water on him and is in a mental hospital because of touya not endeavor
That moment when you remember Rei is the only member of the family knew Endeavor before he went insane, she's the only one knew the other side of Endeavor, that's why she's the only one who can defend him
I do appreciate and respect that Endeavour is trying to make things right, but I personally would find it hard to fully forgive him. I'd probably let the grudges get washed away by time, but I will remember what he's done forever.
I’m glad they are trying to redeem Endo character as a father and a hero and leave him as that abusive father to his family but showing people they can change I like that message
I have this feeling that they're all slowly healing from it. Not to a point where their ready to forgive and put it aside because in the manga *SPOILER* *DON'T READ FURTHER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW* *YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED* we find out that Touya Todoroki is dead (depending on whether the Dabi theory is true or not). We see Endeavor wishing he was there, so it means that he had something to do with it. So that's a little bit hard to get over as a wife and sibling. A simple sorry might never suffice but we can see the healing and the effort Endeavor is giving. If they were to forgive him, or if Endeavor finally manages to get it, that would be the greatest thing he achieved in his life no question.
Idk how Horikoshi did it but I'm starting to like Endeavor. His redemption arc is so genuine, he's facing up to his mistakes and trying to take responsibility while respecting the feelings of the people he hurt. He's starting to feel like the number one hero
I really wouldn't know what to do if tjis happened to me. 90% of me says that the guy doesnt even deserve to be put in consideration towards forgiving him. But that 10% is like: " yes he did terrible things. Things that for most part are unforgivable, but he is earnestly trying to change. And the fact that he brings his wife flowers everyday, her favourites just goes to prove that."
This is what I hate the most about people. They realize that they have done wrong and try to atone and try acting like nothing happened BUT shit did happened and hearing a sincere apology which acknowledges your actions that's coming from your mouth feels a bit better. Throw the pride if you truly care.
Why do I have to relate to this? WHY? I genuinely despise my “father”* for what he’s done to my family. In other words, I can understand how the character feel on a personal level when their father is mentioned. The real only difference between Endeavour and ...* is that Endeavour is _trying_ to make up for what he did. I personally doubt I’d ever forgive Endeavour.
I relate to it too my father is preety similar to Endeavor before without the psycal violance but mental violence is still there especily towards my mum.

But I also like that he struggles,I like his family being hesitant,I like Rei not being sure,Natsuo being resentful still.
Cause it's realistic. Changing isn't magic. You struggle to change and people who knew the old you will not accept instantly that you're changing,they'll be hesitant.
But you don't give up. You keep trying to change. And sooner or later everyone will see you have changed.
I know why some seemed to be upset about it,but in my opinion Endeavor getting redemption is been taken well and it's also the best thing for the story.

I love the siblings for not harboring any ill will towards Shoto for getting his dads attention. This show subverts so many tropes and expectations but does it in a way where it doesn't look stupid.

This is actually pretty realistic take for a broken family like this. It's a bit too idealistic take on it, but it is surprisingly deep and respectful.
Fuyumi still resents Endervor, but she hoped that everything can go back to the way it was. She clearly put a lot of work into trying to "fix" their relationship even if her goal isn't reaslistic and she constantly puts herself into uncomfortable situations.
Natsuo just wants to move on from his abusive father. He loves and still grieving about Tonya. He comes home and tolerate Endeavor because he loves Fuyumi.
Shoto is the absolute passive middle road kid. He said he'd just judge Endeavor. He makes a good point that just because Endervor is trying to be better doesn't mean it automatically warrant his forgiveness. He is also doing this for his mother.

Honestly, I can't say my perspective has shifted much. I get that Endeavor realized the error of his ways, and I get that he wants to change, and at first I found that pretty moving. But now that I’ve had some time to reflect on this, I gotta say, not much has changed in terms of how I feel about Endeavor. I know that some people like to talk about how he realizes how badly he messed up and wants to atone, but honestly, he’s kinda done the bare minimum as of right now. At least when it comes to actually owning up to what he did. So yeah, like I said, not much has changed. He hasn’t proven much as far as I’m concerned, and I still hate his guts. But hey, at least he apparently feels super guilty.
As he deserves, regret is an ugly monster that never goes away. I grew up in a super shitty household too. So while my dad is also only just now realizing just how badly he messed up his kids, he's made his bed, now he's gonna lie in it. He will only ever be on the outside looking in as far as his kids are concerned.
Shoto’s mom has a love that no one understands but she such a wonderful woman. We all love her. ✨✨

Came here from the manga. Man, I know it's hard. Yes, from the perspective of Shoto and his family, it's really hard to forgive Endeavor. But, seeing Enji who was willing to atone for his acts, let's give this dude a chance. Whether they would forgive him or not, at least he tried. Of course, it's not like we should ignore his family's feelings, but man's trying so hard to bring back his family. It would be really hard, but let's give them time to sort things out no matter what will be the outcome.

I do appreciate and respect that Endeavour is trying to make things right, but I personally would find it hard to fully forgive him. I'd probably let the grudges get washed away by time, but I will remember what he's done forever.
The things he's done are unforgivable. But that doesn't make him unredeemable.

I have this feeling that they're all slowly healing from it. Not to a point where their ready to forgive and put it aside because in the manga *SPOILER* *DON'T READ FURTHER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW* *YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED* we find out that Touya Todoroki is dead (depending on whether the Dabi theory is true or not). We see Endeavor wishing he was there, so it means that he had something to do with it. So that's a little bit hard to get over as a wife and sibling. A simple sorry might never suffice but we can see the healing and the effort Endeavor is giving. If they were to forgive him, or if Endeavor finally manages to get it, that would be the greatest thing he achieved in his life no question.

Idk how Horikoshi did it but I'm starting to like Endeavor. His redemption arc is so genuine, he's facing up to his mistakes and trying to take responsibility while respecting the feelings of the people he hurt. He's starting to feel like the number one hero

I really wouldn't know what to do if tjis happened to me. 90% of me says that the guy doesnt even deserve to be put in consideration towards forgiving him. But that 10% is like: " yes he did terrible things. Things that for most part are unforgivable, but he is earnestly trying to change. And the fact that he brings his wife flowers everyday, her favourites just goes to prove that."
The fact that with the latest episode we saw how worried he was of Natsuo when he was in danger, he loves his children.
This is what I hate the most about people. They realize that they have done wrong and try to atone and try acting like nothing happened BUT shit did happened and hearing a sincere apology which acknowledges your actions that's coming from your mouth feels a bit better. Throw the pride if you truly care.

Well, it was Dabi who did it, Enji never forced him, he just pushed him off the edge. And he's trying to redeem himself , that's why Enji, Fyumi, Natsuo, Toya, and rei are my favorite Todorokis, I like them better than Shoto.
