Am I tripping or more and more high level players are trying new characters outside their comfort zone? Honestly, it's very refreshing and fun to watch.
A lot of them were already looking for new characters after the last patch (leffen playing sol, zando playing asuka) but a lot of them felt there wasn't enough time to be good with them before AWT (and the qualifiers preluding) so they stuck with their mains. With that being over and another balance patch arriving soon, it's a great opportunity to pick up someone new
Intertwine and tilt is a great way to move her forward. Mixing in heavy slash is also great for controlling spacing while moving forward. If they try to spam zoning fireballs just use astonishment so you can gain meter at a distance. Haul and heed is another great way to advanced her in normal mode while dodging damage. Her jump dust (which is one of the only ones that is vertical) is a great simple combo starter, or use it to initiate bonding and dissolving. Never let the jealousy rage meter reach zero.
May has easily been my biggest obstacle so far as ABA. Cannot lock down this little bastard and cannot get her off me when she’s in. Honestly think I’ve had more success in the zoned matchups than against May
Umisho was doing a ton of quick jabs against Yoshi. I think I also noticed Totsubunger's Sol do the same against Ikushisu's ABA. Is it to prevent ABA from parrying or something?
Least amount of may footsie gameplay. I feel refreshing to see umi may gameplay. Since, i heard it. I think it look way better than sol(repetitive). Grounded gameplay i look forward.
Some of us want you to start playing fighting games. We will go easy on beginners. Just don't complain when we take 75% of your health with one combo. We hate complainers. You complain once about anything in fighting games and we want you gone. But yeah, you should start.
Umisho probably don't realize that it wasn't the character it was because slash is just that good that he reached grand finals with may. Of course that's beyond comprehension for someone relying on top tiers to win anything

It’s after a major tournament and a new character just came out. Perfect opportunity to try other characters for fun or work on some subs.

Umisho is not out of their comfort zone one bit.
6:35 ABA not being able to capitalize on oki actually saved her life
Yoshi on ABA instead of Bedman, and UMISHO on May? What in the hell is going on?
umi got that slash coaching
Love seeing Umi!
I’m so glad Umisho doesn’t actually main may cuz I can imagine the sol mindest on May getting annoying really fast

UMISHO on May? Nowaying. I don't know if I should be happy that she try her or not.
He's stacking more gorillas to his arsenal.
@@krazyzyko yeah that reminds me of umisho leo on TNS.
she wants to enter the totsugeki family
@@krazyzyko i take umisho gorillas over mumisho happy chaos any day
5:26 I grimaced at how disgusting that looked... what kinda crossup from hell is that

Idk it sounds good or bad to me. Better luck buddy.
Use her 2K when you get an opening to start a simple combo. When she tries to get closer heavy slash right to the face.

Nah, she can’t parry when her install is active. It’s just to call out gaps in her pressure
@@lilacrain3283 but the 5Ps during their own pressure is kinda weird
Is it weird for me to say that May is more mechanically interesting than Elphelt? Maybe even Sin?
nope, not weird at all
Definitely not. The dolphins are actually really interesting

I don't even play fighting games
You should change that
You should stay that way
nah, definetly change that
Change that

What happened at 6:07 and 6:34? If it was just once I'd buy a misinput but it was clearly intentional. Why throw the round?
Could probably be them having fun and trying to hard read the opponent. These games come from 10/20/30 games sets. They’re just hand picked.
