- Solana surged to $100 and has become the third-largest cryptocurrency!
Solana is setting up for a massive year, and I'm expecting huge airdrops in 2024. Due to the low gas fees, Solana is the perfect ecosystem to focus on airdrop farming.
Here's a complete step-by-step guide to get started!

I'd like to clarify one point in this video, Marinade Finance does have an existing token. The strategy here is to stake $SOL with Marinade, receive $mSOL, and deposit that into MarginFi for an airdrop. Apologizes for the confusion.
What about the MNDE token for marinade finance?
Marginfi is always over subscribed
Thanks for the info, But what's the point of staking on marinade and then staking MSol to Marginfi? does marinade have any airdrop?
if not then I think it's easier and safer to just stake Sol on marginfi
very brilliant & interesting project. I really excited for this airdrop Its community is fast growing.
If you take your mSol and lend it on marginfi, are you still "staking it" on marinade? or is that feature now gone cause you "used" it all on marginfi?
Thank you.
You're welcome! ☺️
im excited for the magic eden airdrop
I Lost it all 2021, Dude I'm counting on you to retire me nd my parents, worked so hard to get back in the game....
I feel you, I lost about 75% of my portfolio. Past 2 years been able to recover it all and much more. Stick with it, you got this. We're just getting started.
@@CryptoWithNick thanks nick,, you got like a telegram channel I can join?
Did you guys buyed on Top?😂
@@MoaOp-rh2os No, I lost a significant amount of funds in UST. Actually, I timed the top quite well, but all my stables were in UST and I was offline on vacation for a few weeks during the death spiral. I think what's more impressive is my journey regaining everything and much more nowadays. Which of course is always documented here on this channel, Twitter, and Discord ;)
There's a Discord linked in the description@@0tentertainments380
I am staking 1 SOL on Mariande but I have only been staking for a day now, but I dont see any earn or rewards? does that mean they dont do airdrops or gift tokens anymore?
wormhole im most excited for. thanks for the quiz alpha
Of course! Fingers crossed it's a good one!
@@CryptoWithNick that heavy seed round makes me think it will be quite lucrative
thank you for good infos, i have one problem yet: how do i borrow and stay safe and not lose my assets? how much percent threshold and why borrow at least 1 sol?
I'm just trying to be any sybil filters by doing at least 1 SOL. All platforms provide a health factor, just keep it in the green/conservative. Ideally if you lend/borrow the same asset they both appreciate/decrease at the same rate. Pretty hard to get liquidated in most cases.
I've just staked 5 sol and then deposited mSol at drift, on marinade it now states 0 Sols staked? is that correct? and to add to this question how do we get all the deposits back? Seems quite possible to forget where you put your deposits.
If you use mSOL in DEFI it will show “0 mSOL” because it’s not in your wallet currently. In terms of forgetting, probably best to just write it down then.
@@CryptoWithNick thanks
@CryptoWithNick but do you still qualify for any possible airdrops if your msol is in a defi platform?
@@raduiordache9966 yes that's what i was thinking?
nice video! it would be better, when you could show it step by step... lend, borrow etc... thanks
Thanks for the feedback.
How do you unstake the staked tokens on Marginfi?
If you look at the "supplied" section, there's a drop down arrow that says "withdraw"
@@CryptoWithNick Thanks!!! Your videos are such a great help to people who are new to crypto!!
how can i lend on kamino ? supply done. i can see only borrow
Lending/Supply is the same thing. As an example, you supply mSOL, borrow SOL.
Why stake in Marinade when the token is already trading?
Please refer to the pinned comment.
I still didnt Understand the step when and how we gonna get the Airdrops? will they just appear on our wallet do we have to do something in that time when we are staking can you explain for the noobs please?
Usually projects setup a claim site or send it directly to your wallet when live. You'd have to wait for further clarity for when the project announces it. Recommend just following them all on Twitter for updates.
Are airdrops certain when u do the process?
Not always, it's not a science. Taking previous learnings, create a strategy, and hope for a little luck.
What is airdrop
It's projects that provide free tokens to new users. Usually it's a form of marketing. Only in crypto do people make thousands for pushing a few buttons ;).
is parcl airdrop is real or fake ?
The point system is real, seems very much possible. Airdrops aren't necessarily a science, it requires a bit of strategy and hope.
Well most of these are blocked from the United States
True some might be. But a VPN for a few dollars/mo goes a long way in crypto
@@CryptoWithNickI've heard some people have had trouble getting their airdrops after they are released because of the vpn
Some airdrops may try to block VPN access but there’s always a way around it. I would just focus first on qualifying.
can you elaborate on this? and would I need to start a new CEX account and wallet under the VPN or is interacting with the app under the VPN sufficient? @@CryptoWithNick
Tether USDT is number 3 by market cap not solana ...
It doesn't really make sense to count stable coins in ranking.
@CryptoWithNick I guess that's true aswell
why would you want to borrow solana if you know it is going to go up in value? you would just owe more money lol
If you lend liquid staking SOL and borrow SOL, it’s almost impossible to be liquidated as long as the peg holds. Both your collateral and borrow would increase/decrease in lockstep.
The only goal here is to airdrop farm. I’m suggesting borrow a few SOL. Not really concerned on the gain/loss on a small position. More focused on airdrop potential.
You could also explore a strategy such as leveraging up.
1. Stake $SOL with Marinade for mSOL
2. Lend mSOL, borrow SOL
3. Stake $SOL with Marinade for mSOL (round 2)
4. Lend mSOL (don't borrow).
when i lend staked sol or put it in a pool does it subtract from my potential airdrop where i staked or do they track it a different way. Like does that staked sol have to be in my wallet to count for marinade or solblazes airdrop@@CryptoWithNick
Doesn't marinade already have a token? I think it's being traded on coinbase
It does and I don't think I clearly communicated this piece properly. My intention was you can stake Solana, receive mSOL, and use that on MarginFi. I'll be honest, there's a few bloopers in this video. Looking back I believe I rushed it a bit. Will be sure to do better in the future. I hope you all still enjoyed pieces of it.
I staked $100 sol for jitosol, in the beginning of december and wasn’t eligible for airdrop. Says US accounts aren’t eligible.
Use a VPN 😅
