I liked that Oliveira got right in Chandlers face. It really makes him a lot less effective, doing it in round 2 led to the knockout too. I felt Charles could win if he moved forward and then the only 2 times Chandler caught him was when he got to leap into his shots as Charles was giving ground. The difference between when they got dropped was remarkable too. Lastly i think it was a little overstated how badly Charles was hurt.
Oi Slacky boi, what's with all this "S'up guys?" nonsense? I look forward to the twice weekly warm, comforting hug of "Oi, oi- it's yer boi"? beginning to your podcasts. Now I'm all on edge.
lmao IMO one of the your best pods in a while a lot of good points and over half of all the comments are talking about more plates more dates (?) which I've literally never heard of before haha
The live chat reaction for the main event was something else. People in there yelling "bad stoppage" and my favorite comment "why is Oliveira not submitting him?"
All I'm here to do is help slacky on his long and neverending battle against Al Gore's Rhythm, may he be successful once again at getting the attention of the public via his snark, blessed be his BJJ game amen 🙏
@@misterb.s.8745 Gaethje vs Chandler would be extremely violent and wonderful. It´s not about UFC wanting or not wanting Oliveira to win, it´s about doing a good job at generating stock for fighters. Previously Charles was not marketable for casuals, so you put a f. TON of promotional value into chandler. If Chandler win, then the promotion paid of. If Oliveira win then he absorb the stardom from Chandlers as after that everyone that didn´t know him is gonna think "oh this is the guy who K'O the super awesome other dude". Anyone else get slightly peeved when Jack is dropping some profound knowledge and a random personal thought suddenly invades his brainspace causing him to just ramble off into quiet incoherent mumbles?
Ferguson absolutely did NOT "No sell" the heel hook. He screamed in agony for a bit but then suddenly returned to normal. Bizaare, incredible but certainly forced a reaction from Tony!
If you check out jacares method of stopping back takes from his grappling days, he always used a very dangerous method that could of got him armbarred. I remember when he fought Marcelo Garcia at brown belt and he stopped the back take in almost the same way but with the addition of a sleeve grip.
My thoughts on this were "they both have the tools to kill the other one" I was rooting for chucky olives but I thought chandler had the power edge. Thought chandler was a bit more likely to win
I don’t know if I’m right or wrong but Tony came in light during quarantine against gaethje and had very unorthodox methods of weight training perhaps the loss of muscle mass from making lightweight without good muscle building exercises lead to Tony losing speed, movement and strength which allowed Tony to take the recent damage?
Chucky should do a Bisping and fight some ghosts, Takanori Gomi a Michael Johnson maybe then an old champ from featherwight i guess Jose Aldo since Connor is lightweight now.
Does anyone else think Beneil stopped short of breaking Tony’s leg? I feel like maybe he has too much respect for Tony to do something that gruesome to him on live TV
No. There is no point in holding a lock if your opponent won't tap so Beneil went to secure top position instead. I really don't think he took a moment to think about poor Tony
@@ruveng.9058 good point I didn’t really consider that he knew full well Tony wasn’t gonna tap. The only time someone has ever even done anything like that is I believe when Khabib transitioned from an armbar to a rear naked vs Gaethje

I found myself feeling the same way about that More Plates more dates channel. The RUclips algorithm is truly something else
MPMD gets pushed for the fake natty stuff but the true content are his endocrinology videos about Men's health and optimization.
