Yeah, one is only to clean your inventory from things you want to keep a certain amount but don't want it to clog, so just put a backpack to pick it, with stack and void upgrades.
@@TwstedTV same. later on when i have infinite range to access my storage, the first backpack remains general tools and whatnot, and then i'll specialize another one to be something like Create and get rid of the third.

Dire idk if you read these comments but I just wanted to mention that every mod you've made is a complete banger. I've been getting really into laser io recently and its just awesome. Has the same vibe as the draconic evolution energy transfer crystals but for everything.
fun fact: netherwart grows faster in the nether. It's not common knowledge cause nobody would really uses the nether for something small like that, at least not for the express purpose of making the netherwart grow faster.
@@maximumgames2990 oh, you're right. Must have been a rumor or something I believed, looks like the closest to that being the case was earlier minecraft versions where nether wart wouldn't grow at all outside of the nether...
i could be wrong but im pretty sure all the AE stuff draws power on an exponential curve, so it "ramps down" when it hasn't been used and takes a couple seconds to "ramp up" when they're being used
Just a few thoughts. You can Ore triple with Therugy (granted it’s slow). I know nether wart doesn’t technically need low light. But I found dires blaze farmland under ground goes so much faster then on the surface with soul sand.
It used to but now its the same slow speed whether its light or dark. About 40mins to fully grow. Dire is using it rather than replanting it. It will stay really slow unless he increases how many he is growing.
it would be awesome if you could make another experience holder and link them up. then you could set one at the front door to extract everything, and put the other one near your enchanting table, to set you to 30 or whatever.
You should totally get into Productive Bees and Hostile Neural Networks, also if you want to go with Generators Galore you can make a fully passive nether star generator with hostile neural networks
He has tried that in the past. The problem is that both he and his viewers get tired of the layers and layers of crafts, so the farthest he tends to go is stuff like skyblock and maybe expert mode packs.
@@redtailhawk5129 A lot of pple were upset when he stopped omnifactory. i personally loved watching him go through the tiers and having to deal with the complexity that is gregtech. everything that he is doing now almost feels like cut and paste from previous series. very little challenge anymore. i also like the "Dungeons, Dragons, and Space Shuttles" modpack as well. it was also a comnlex, yet enjoyable modpack that he stopped early as well.
You cannot make netherwart grow faster. It has a set pace it grows and isn't affected by water, light, or anything. It doesn't have a random tick based growth.
Dire, I really love your mods but I have the feeling you're overusing them in your lets plays. It seems like the first episodes are always: hey let's get building gadgets and lately the JDT tools etc. It could be more fun if you tried out some different ways to progress through the early game. EDIT: the reason I'm saying this is because JDT speeds up early game a lot.

Carefully picks dungeon loot due to inventory shortage, leaves backpack behind. Certified Dire moment.
I just knew instantly this would be top comment lol
Yeah...I was waiting for him to realize it only for him to go over several times before walking away...dire, bruh lol
Definitely one of the more Derpy dire derps 😂
Complaining about storage space while skipping an upgraded backpack is definitely one of the more rage inducing Dire derps
I’m really impressed how polished Just Dire Things is. It’s such a cool mod and I love its textures and animations. The sounds are fantastic too

I always have 2 backpacks, one I'm wearing for my tools and essentials and another I have in my inventory for adventuring/mining stuff
ehh... ive never got used to two backpacks, i understand dire
he could have swapped, though lol
Yeah, one is only to clean your inventory from things you want to keep a certain amount but don't want it to clog, so just put a backpack to pick it, with stack and void upgrades.
I usually have 3 backpacks. Utilities, one for tools, coal and gadgets & tanks and the other 2 for mining and adventuring. 😉

I do not think DireWolf has figured out that Nether wart needs low light levels to grow quickly
Dire: /home feels kinda cheaty
Me: Teleports to my waypoints with JourneyMap
If the pack author enabled /home it's not cheaty. It's intended. I'll never understand dire in regards to this
10:19 Getting string for a backpack and doesn't see the backpack in the chest :D
He saw it but didn't take it.
Or the string in the chest lol
One of the most basic free automation things is to give an iron furnace an input and an output chest.
Looks like a meteor water strike just south of your base. You can see the edge of the crater.

petition for dire to do a fabric series once this one is done! maybe the modpack "all of fabric 7"?
i could be wrong but im pretty sure all the AE stuff draws power on an exponential curve, so it "ramps down" when it hasn't been used and takes a couple seconds to "ramp up" when they're being used
Take the copper backpack and use it like an ender chest. I typically use 4 diamond backpacks, wear 1 and carry the other 3 for loot.
Just a few thoughts. You can Ore triple with Therugy (granted it’s slow).
I know nether wart doesn’t technically need low light. But I found dires blaze farmland under ground goes so much faster then on the surface with soul sand.
It makes sense because the farmland add extra random ticks and that is what netherwart depends on it to grow
Easy Villagers would solve your Iron Problem.
very true and set up unless wildly different in this pack is not in general hard
Theory/tip for nether wort: I think the Dire farmland will make it grow faster. Especially once the blazegold tier is unlocked.
Only Dire would go off mining for Iron to make an iron backpack and leave behind the free copper backpack.
Wooh! AE2 in just 4 episodes!
Nether Wart grows faster in the dark, if I recall correctly. 😉👍

The ae2 growth accelerators are pretty powerful for crops
Especially MA crops
Crafting or picking up each tier of furnaces gives you an extra upgrade to that tier, just saying ;)
Not sure if it's a thing in this pack or not dire but ftb genesis netherwart struggled to grow if the light level was above 7?
There are dimensional tanks you can use to transfer lava.
i want to see a series that is out of your comfort zone, maybe another gregtech series?

Netherwarts take in average (based on regular random tick) around 32 min to grow
You cannot make netherwart grow faster. It has a set pace it grows and isn't affected by water, light, or anything. It doesn't have a random tick based growth.
Would time in a bottle or something similar that passes time instead of random tick speed work?
How does he craft blocks instantly from his inventory? What mod adds that shortcut?
I think it crafting tweaks, you have to be at a crafting table to compress 3x3 obviously.
Shift K I think is the combination to compress blocks
@@profix4993 Shift K does ALL of that block instead of just the stack the mouse is hovering. Just K by itself will do the single stack
Yay hugs love the grinding cuts ... mining with gadgets and tools is boring.
Dire can you like you’r paste code thingy of you’r house i don’t feel like huilding one lol
Maybe you should chunk load the nether wart chunk 😅

Fifth?
Wish we could get a series without AE. Refined is easier eithout every few episde taking a break to figure out channels
You can disable channels on the configuration file. It becomes as easy as refined storage.
Make a big core. No more channel issues.
Totally agree brother
I like channel management. I think it's a fun mechanic
ae2 has better autocrafting
