Hi! I turned 18 in September and I'm really trying to dive into the Word of God. I'm from Barbados and I've decided to dedicate time every day to Bible study. I want to thank my friend for inviting me to learn about this; I've been interested for a long time, but I never made the time to focus on it and often got easily distracted. I loved that explanation about prayer and time! I wonder if when we are in heaven, if I'm in awe of Him now, I can't wrap my head around His majestic majesty, the bigness of it all. Thank you for simplifying Revelation - I did a month long study of this book last year, which was overwhelming, but it led me to here. Full circle 🎉
Your prayer for people who have passed is a sign of love for them. Vice versa, I believe that past prayers from ancestors have saved me. I pray for my grandchildren and great grandchildren and for my son's future wife. People that I don't yet know or may never meet.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been watching your videos for months now. I have moved 3 times this year with my partner and 2 toddlers. I followed your chronological reading plan, and my goal for 2024 was to read the Bible from cover to cover. And tomorrow I have completed that, Glory to God. I hope I will be able to get more into the studying part in 2025. But I’m already so excited that I didn’t gave up on reading the whole book this year. And I’m so grateful for the months I did get to watch your videos. I will never forget the end of Deuteronomy, I cried in my room with you Kanoe watching your video/ study, about Moses looking at his people on the mountain. Isn't it God's divine will that when the Bible was complete that Revelation became the last book and for believers as well as others that may read the Bible say in a year like we're doing as we end the year we have renewed hope for the upcoming year God willing we're still here. God is amazing!!!
Thank you Kanoe for stating this I fully somehow know God is outside time and space. That is a beautiful heart to still pray for people after passing. I was praying for an uncle as he was passing I remember sensing a great big hug of total shalom peace as I was praying. I knew at that point my uncle was gone and with the peace I felt I believe he is with Christ. I never want to box God in with what He can do or not do.
🙏 I have referred to prayer being answered or listened to across time too. I find it helpful to remember we are all in different time zones and so some prayer requests of friends are not known at the time they are made this side of the Pond compared to the other - I have no doubt that God knows my prayers will be said when I know of the request even if he has already answered or healed or saved.

@ I’ll do my best. Lol Time isn’t linear for God like it is for us. So it’s possible our prayers for someone could be effective at any time if we place no limitations on God. So it could be possible that a prayer we say now for someone that has passed could have already been answered in the past and lead someone to salvation even though the prayer was in the future. He sees all past present future in a way that the human mind can’t comprehend. We can’t fully understand Gods timing but I don’t place any limitations on God so I think it’s possible 💝 God bless you! God is outside space and time, and ironically, you bringing up what you said yesterday is what I was thinking about when you said it regarding those that have passed away. Our prayers for them may have saved them prior to them passing, and I know that they are never alone when they die.
Hello Kanoe. My name is Jay from Newfoundland, Canada. I grew up in a very devout household. My grandmother was the organist in my church for about 55 years. I spent a lot of time in the church as a youth. I'm not ashamed to say that I lost my way. I told my wife that I felt like I was being pulled by something (I know now that it was by God) to pick up where I left off as a young man. I happen to be a quadriplegic and I often struggle with health issues. I need some help when I feel like it becomes overwhelming and there's no one better to look to than the Lord. Thank you for helping to reaffirm my faith and become closer to him. It has made all the difference.

I understand what you mean about prayer and time. I lost my childhood best friend during covid. He spent the last month of his life in ICU, incubated, with no visitors allowed. We both grew up in church, but he took a different path after high school. I always reminded him of our upbringing, but because of life circumstances, he was indifferent about it. However, I still pray that he reconsidered his choices in those last days. That he had the opportunity to reconcile and ask for forgiveness. I know there is nothing that can be done now, but I pray that he didn't miss his chance before he passed away.

@winterfresh22 I don't necessarily agree with what Kanoe said but I was trying to say it's great that she explained why she said what she did, because I had wondered what she meant, hoping she didn't think prayers could change someone who had passed. I don't know that I think about it the way she does though, but it sounds like she's saying because God's timing is not our timing who is to say the timing of the prayers that we're saying now really could have been heard by God beforehand ( before we know it as our NOW). It's a bit deep, but that's what I got out of what she is thinking. Hope this helps.

I have read and studied and shared the good news with anyone that would listen this year. Now I have family and friends asking ME questions about the Bible. I agree with you Kanoe about revelation it use to seem so scary and far fetched to me but the further i get into my walk and deeper i get into my Bible study its no longer scary and seems very possible and likely.
