I'm a German immigrant, my kiddos are American but much more embrace Advent and the coming of Jesus before Christmas and then celebrate the 12 days of Christmas starting on the 25th of December. St Nicolas day is on the 6th of December. My kids also get gifts on the 24th Christmas Eve, like I did growing up in Germany.

We have a bit of British background. With some friends we did a Victorian Christmas pioneer type luncheon. It was super fun to research ahead of time, & to learn about different traditions that came from Britain in the 1800s to Canada- where we live 😊

Thank you for sharing, this sounds like a great activity and such a great idea to get the kids involved in researching and learning about traditions in your area!
