Nice to see a review of this craft. It was the first 3rd party aircraft I spent a lot of time in. It's a great plane! Note about the altitude capture/VS unit. It's totally broken right now, not due to Sim 11, but the Working Title 530/430 beta which was a separate marketplace install. Same type of issues you saw in the Mooney recently because it's the same Carenado VS unit. Uninstall the WT 530 package from content manager and the plane works fine, which is what a lot of people are doing. It's probably not a great idea to use that thing if you're reviewing planes, since the GPS is a 3rd party beta product and breaks many of them currently, so it kinda misrepresents the plane. I recommend using the PMS50 GNS530 instead, since it essentially has the same features currently, and doesn't break planes. This isn't just a Carenado problem either. Many planes are affected in various ways, as well as the 3rd party GTN750 units in planes that can switch between GPS units.
Spot on. I was about to say the same thing. I absolutely love the Working Title 530/320s, but they do break autopilots in a few non-default planes (and especially in Carenado's fleet).
That flying around Crazy Horse ! I know Beech developed the V-Tail to appeal to the fighter jockeys coming back from ww2 who weren't interested in flying the soggy underpowered GA planes available at the time, but even so .... 😂😂 You're lucky the mixture didn't cut itself off, I didn't notice you change to the right fuel tank which was half full when you landed, the engines would have only been sucking fumes out of the left one which was showing empty, that can't have helped the handling 🙂
Very nice! The v 35 has been one of my favorites since it came out I think it handles well and the nose light directional as well as the nice lighting for the evening make it feel like the 70s. The doctor killer lives again!
@@jonbeckett it was referred to as the doctor killed killer because in the 70s many physicians chose that aircraft and they had some problems in mastering the v tail. It was known commonly as the doctor killer because of the amount of crashes that occurred. I like it and I think it is quite stable but there must’ve been an issue in real life that the inexperienced suffered
@@jonbeckett the real one was unstable but I guess if one knows of its problems it can be flown normally . there is this one teen girl or early 20s flying the V tail in real life and she seems fine with it.
Two thumbs up on this one. Very very enjoyable flight. The flying around Crazy Horse was great fun. Engine sound level is difficult but you nailed it on this vid. I learned to fly on steam gauges in Warriors and C-172s with no GPS, so I much enjoyed your choice of aircraft. It’s been great flying with you this year. Looking forward to 2023. 🥂
This definitely one of my favourite small aircraft. When it came out I was so delighted. Carenado did a fantastic job on it and on Series X it flies absolutely beautifully. Nice video!
@@jonbeckett I often watch Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft reviews on RUclips in 4K on my 86" giant TV and the quality enables me to make a comparison to FS 2020 and I have to say Asobo have pretty much nailed it! Recent one is a Cessna 206 T pilot review and these are just shy of a million dollars! Cessna have mounted 4K camera's underneath, on the wings and in cockpit and what we get for a few hundred dollars or so is incredible.
@@jonbeckett I found the problem with the GX3 panels and I don't know how this happens but somehow a saved flight plan from LNMP messes things up . I tested it with LNMP and uninstalled LNMP and kept the flt plan and same result however if I go to a location without a preplan then no problems hmmm corrupted flt plan some how. i shall try it and make a pln inside msn that should work.
Wonderful video; a fun watch. I believe the previous comment is right about the autopilot problem is with working title 530/430 beta. I deleted it and use my PMS 750 premium which I prefer and use his PMS50 GNS 530 package. I'll wait until it's out of beta. I also like PMS50's G430 better as I use it for the direct navigation screen.
Unfortunately South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks is currently planning on closing the Custer State Park airport for good. AOPA is trying to come up with ideas to keep it open/going. Custer County Airport just got a new big hanger built.
Astonishing detail given the modest price for this software! It was genius to use streaming Bing global satellite system. I particularly find the UK and Ireland absolutely beautiful.
Nice video. Thank you. However for me, in MSFS 2023, the faces of the monuments don't render like they apparently do for you. I just get blurry rock mountains. No hint of a face. What am I doing wrong? Why do you have so much better detail?
I had an RC v-tail tail Bonanza. It looked great, but was incredibly inconsistent to fly. Somedays it flew as well as it looked and others, despite not changing the setup in any way, it was a pig. Eventually pig won.
My brother flies radio controller aircraft :) When anybody flew a new plane at the club, people would line up alongside the runway with plastic bags - to go and pick up the bits :)
The Crazy Horse monument is further along than seen in MSFS, and it will be completed. You've missed some of the other features of the area, including the Needles. You really should visit the area in person.
I know this is old, and you probably already know this by now, but this bug is not Carenados fault. The Garmin 530 is the culprit. If you keep default GPS it works fine. But for me I just keep it. I know to arm the altitude when it reaches it.

Why did beachcraft stop using a V-tail on the bonanza?
I kinda like it, makes it look unique.
In the real world it killed a lot of less skilled pilots.
Early Happy New Year Mate all the best

LNMP tends to freeze the sim and.................. LNMP seems to work now with the kitfox panel and vans panel
I have no issues with LittleNavMap freezing the sim. If anything, you must have a problem with something conflicting with SimConnect.

The UK and Ireland have good quality data. It really depends on how high resolution the photo-recon data is.
