I lost more then a few braincells headbanging to engine! A Truly amazing live band , right on the edge of making it . Perhaps a few years earlier and we would have seen a decent recording contract.
@@lemmyraisehell.8669 PALAIS!! That was a glorified knocking shop!! Grab-a-granny was the motto for that place. They did a couple of pubs (The Test Match Inn was one) and the Meadow Club at Notts County's football ground.
One of the very best live bands ever. Think I might have an old tape they released somewhere. Always wanted them to make it big time. Start a poll or something to bring them back
Love it - had many good nights watching these guys - at the BuckleighTivoli(including this gig I think), at the Students Union in Bangor and back in my home town of Portsmouth down the Old South Parade Pier - good times, great memories :-) Thanks for posting all of these vids of one of the most high energey bands I have ever had the pleasure of seeing live.
Did they ship the bricks of the Angel to Japan or was Mad Lewy fibbing again without him knowing he was doing it. ? Still got a music shop have ya .??!
Hi Jeff, they're not playing as Engine anymore, but if you're interested, there's a Facebook page that I host facebook.com/groups/Engine1979to1997 full of fans, memories & the band are all members too. 😎 Cherrs, Si.
