- The Roanoke Valley Greenways provide a wonderful opportunity for riders, walkers and runners to enjoy exercising in a natural setting. For cyclists there is a variety of trails ranging from smooth pavement to technical mountain biking! The Roanoke River Greenway we rode today is excellent for families to ride.

Thank you for posting this video. I just planned a week in Roanoke with my bike and this was useful in confirming that I would find easy trails to bike around.

Thanks again for the post, myself and my wife really enjoy your videos. We like to get out and ride our bikes on similar trails. We have done some of your rides; you have given us some good ideas of places to explore We are also similar that I have a recumbent and my wife has a road bike. We are considering retiring soon and I was wondering about this video hobby. We ride and explore a lot and also have found some really nice rides. We probably could have shared dozens of if we had recorded them. What equipment do you need? I would be interested in learning more about the hobby to see if we would like to pick up a similar hobby.

Thank you for the video. I will be in Roanoke in June. Can you recommend which trailhead/safe place to park the car at the start of the ride?
The lot we parked in across from the hospital seemed safe to us. The name is shown at the start of the video. There is a bridge from the lot to the bike trail on the other side of the river.
