    Great tutorial. I would recommend using the Outline view to make sure those lines are aligned correctly and the shape builder tool to remove the excess bits

    • @leestuart38
      @leestuart38  4 года назад

      Yup I pulled up outline view once in the vid, I usually do that to make sure I don't have any open or stray paths. I'm still not a huge fan of the shape builder tool for some reason, I always work faster with the pen or basic shapes. Thankfully there's about 10 different ways to do anything in illustrator haha

    Whats good bro? I've been following your videos on screen printing & I'm super impressed. I'm in the same boat as you were when you started out, ik jack shit about screen printing but I have a million ideas but right now I'm just watching you, Kenyonken, Print life, Catspit, & Yadah yadah...lol. Basically screen printing & other shit of that nature is what I think...well ik I wanna do. Listening to your story about being lazy & sitting around blowin (smoking weed) & it really inspired me. Oh I can't forget about Reyes the entrepreneur dudes story was some bottom up shit that I love as well, but I'll continue to watch & learn what I can until the day I can get my bread up to follow your lead. When that does happen I'll defly let the world know where my future greatest came from. Keep doing your shit, stay humble & blessed my boi! 💯💯💯💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

Would you recommend to go all out and do the international search before trademarking it?? Then I have to pay again to do the actual trade mark? What did you use to do that ? What would you suggest

    I was told years ago some artists give a crappy version to the customer so they can't easily take it somewhere else and have it printed... our artist charges a pretty high price for original logo design but then we provide all the proper files on a flash drive once paid in full for intellectual property.. good artwork isn't cheap but it's worth it if you plan to use it on multiple substrates..

    • @leestuart38
      @leestuart38  4 года назад +1

      We're the same way. If we're creating original artwork or having to recreate it in this case, we charge accordingly but always deliver the proper files in full at the end. That's what they're paying for and I can't believe how many people still get work without doing that.

    Excellent video my man! So, just a quick question. Any time you have a client that provides you with a low grade quality logo/design that is not in vector format such as the one featured in your tutorial, would you charge the client to “digitise” or “vectorise” their logo/design so that the end quality is up to scratch or simply include that ad part of your service?

    • @leestuart38
      @leestuart38  4 года назад

      Absolutely. Anytime you have to put extra work into the job it should be charged accordingly, even if it takes you 2 minute to do like this would for me. They're paying for the years of practice and experience, not the minutes of your time

    • @deniskrastic

One could use stokes, then outline them for the fastest recreation, you could use the pen tool on the whole thing, or use shapes like here. Point is it's now a production ready working vector made in a few minutes, and he showed design practices useful to any designer, novice to experienced pros. I do this every day........ why the heck is it so satisfying to watch other people do it? Image trace tool is such trash, I can’t believe people actually use it and print that crap on shirts.

      It's unreal how often it happens. I saw a Gracie Jiu Jitsu school recently that had an 8 foot image traced logo on the wall, it looked like pure ass from a mile away. Hopefully more of this info gets out there so less people can get away with it

    Exactly only way is to make it right these clown shoes wannabe designers couldn't make a straight line using the actual straight line tool even if they tried. Haha. Make Trace equals smack in face in my opinion haha. For Logos anyway. Had this one client say to me for my @funlabsdesignstudio Illustration Company can't you just put my image in (a wonky pixelated mess of an image I might add) and click Trace? I said "Only if you want a crappy looking Vector Logo I can. I use the Pen Tool foo !" 🤣 He followed my comment with a "Ok." duh face haha.
