Dr. Carson has given us many wonderful books. His commentary on the Gospel of John is one of the best written in the past 50 years. Sometimes it is good to be serious. He does not get in front of people to tell jokes or make people laugh. This message on Deut 17 is worth listening to as are his other messages on RUclips.
14:25 - Makes me think of Pastor John Macarthur... who owns 3 mansions with a tennis court and swimming pool... who would have imagined.... I was shocked when I first found out..
Great sermon!! I read the story about the disciples asking for a place of honor today. They thought that Jesus was going to set up his kingdom on earth.
The Bible makes it clear that once someone is in hell, it will be too late to repent. There is also the image of people in Hell not wanting to repent. 2 Corinthians tells us that today is the day of salvation. Repent Now! Quickly.
I don't get it...Carson preaches this way at G3 and then when he comes to England and the Keswick Convention, he has the perfect opportunity to preach the same way to a good number of carnal "Christians" involved in ecumenism, but doesn't.
I am not aware of his preaching in England, but I do know that all denominational preachers have a large degree of doctrinal compromise that is in some ways rooted in human traditionalism. If these men really believed scripture is "the" written authority that determines faith and practice, they would not be a part of the denominational world. No such thing existed in the days of the apostles. They were simply followers of the precious Lord Jesus. They were not members of any man-made religion such as Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, etc. They were Christians and members of the community of Christ. (Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 1:22-23) They did not compromise with any false systems of religion or the false teachers of their day. The Lord's followers were militant in opposing anything that had no authority to exist, whether organizationally or doctrinally. (Acts 15; Acts 18:24-28; 1 Timothy 6:12; Jude 3) In other words, they knew the Lord, believed the Lord, defended the gospel, and did so at great sacrifices!

Charlotte Gulley He is. Just not yet-

One cannot help but ask, is it worth it to repent when you are in hell?

Chris Puksta, the problem is your mind doesn't allow you too.

10:43 Adding to scripture like serpents always do. They will defend all evil, but attack Christ and His One Holy Catholic Church.
How?
Accusations without evidence or proof is unbiblical.
