    a Dwarf Mulberry Tree! the Gerardi Dwarf Mulberry Tree grows to only 6 to 8 feet tall! A Mulberry Tree can reach 50’!
    she fruits just like the full-size trees; has attractive large leaves; free of disease and pests; and drought tolerant once established!
    She’s a cross between the White Mulberry (Morus alba) and Red Mulberry (Morus rubra), Morus alba x rubra
    she's plant #278 at HEPPY (heppy.org) if my count is accurate. but the count is probably not accurate 😉

      well thank you Traiichon!! and welcome to gardening! keep trying, keep learning, and keep adapting -- i'm truly learning something new in the garden everyday. weather, water, soil, shade/sun, season -- some things thrive :) & a few take a dive :/. work the soil; what u see above the ground is related to how the roots r doing 🐞.
      thanks for the feedback & thanks for stopping by Traiichon!

    I enjoy this channel, a lot of the plants i own are covered here. I would like to see varies autumn olive and sea berry varieties with full fruit. I also own many varieties of gooseberries and currants, aronia, jostaberry, hardy Kiwi, I just planted a Green Gage plum and Italian plum for prunes. OK I'll stop their I'm rambling on.

      variety is great! sounds like you're doing great! nice variety of plants, Kinni.
      but for my Sea berries, i'd love to see them full of fruit too, but they're just not doing well here. I started planting them in SUPER sandy soil (vs. organicy soil). i'm on my 4th male! the other 3 didn't make it :(

      great timing; i filmed her yesterday. she's the 5th plant in this youtube short, ruclips.net/user/shortsGlGukwXlG2w
      The one I planted is thriving; the one that's still potted is OK.
      The planted one is vigorous, with a good number of fruit but the fruit are small.
      i'm wondering what i can graft to it (Pakistan, a White) and if the grafted portion would remain dwarfy....
      thanks for asking! please sub ;)

      @timschannel910 nice work! Mulberry are a low-care plant; best if planted in full sun, and well-draining organic soil.
      A lot of info is here, heppy.org/mulberries
      The portion for Mulberry Care and Maintenance is here, heppy.org/mulberries/#Mulberry_Tree_Guide_for_Care_and_Maintenance
      Let me know how it goes!

    Can you grow it in a 5 gallon bucket.

    • @heppylifestyle
      @heppylifestyle  2 месяца назад

      @@timschannel910 Mulberries are hard to stop; they grow vigorously; the bucket is doable but will limit its potential.
      Good luck and let me know how things go (or, how things grow!). 👨‍🌾🐞👍

    Ok, Question - I've had it suggested that what Edible Landscaping is selling as Girardi is actually another type of dwarf. How big did that fruit get? Do you have photos? Do you think its legit Girardi?

    • @heppylifestyle
      @heppylifestyle  Год назад +1

      hi. these two girls are REALLY small & young trees and they produced fruit. the fruits were small; however, i'll give them 2-3 years before determining 'bust vs success' ;) i think they'll be fantastic but i'm an optimist. plz subscribe as we follow / film these girls over time!
      about "Girardi is actually another type of dwarf / do i think its legit Girardi?": yes, i believe they are legit. it's Edible Landscaping (i make no commission, btw). to you point, i'm sure some nurseries loose track of the parent stock or ??? and MAY BE selling mis-named plants. but at EL, you can see the propagation tables and their cultivation of plant stock. that's my $0.02 ;)

    I bought one from edible landscape the leafs are as big as my hand and it's doubled in size since spring is that normal for a Gerardi Dwarf Mulberry?

    • @heppylifestyle
      @heppylifestyle  4 месяца назад +1

      @RobertoMartinez-vs4yt great work, and great soil! the one i planted does have large leaves, and is growing great ... until, i think some squirrels decided to include Mulberry leaves in their diet 🙄😱.

    • @heppylifestyle

      Hi! they do look grafted; technically, I don't have experience grafting Mulberry. it's LIKELY that you use one-year wood. i didn't help much; let me know how things go!

    Hello friend, there are several types of dwarf mulberry
    there is another one called red charlotte very similar to that one
    What are the differences between the two? Which one would be more worth it?
    thank you

      another dwarf Mulberry?! ;)
      Hello Jorge. You just introduced me to a new dwarf Mulberry, red charlotte. I googled and found "Charlotte Russe" and a lot of hits in Europe. I'll keep an eye out for this the red charlotte!
      Overall, my dwarf trees are young, so i can't give advice based on what I've learned. it takes about 3 years before you see growth patterns, flavors, etc. I just bought a dwarf Black Mulberry yesterday. thanks for stopping by and please subscribe!

      @@heppylifestyle charlotte rosse is the mojo berry, it has many names, it is normal to confuse them
      There is another black dwarf from Thailand, and it also circulates there, one that they simply call black dwarf.
