Unfortunately this doesn't apply to Nissan anymore ever since they were bought by French automaker Renault...since then Nissan has NOT been the same...sad indeed.
The French 🤢🤮
@@caioaugusto3138 The only reliable French vehicle would Veyron and Chiron, but they are bloody expensive.
@Chelsea Highlights Well, they do work as designed, if not maintenance hog. A simple oil change can cost almost an entire economy car.
but NIssan owns Renault
@@jurjur8811 either way, they're still not the company they used to be. Their quality has went down the toilet. It's super frustrating because Nissan was once a great company and it had some of my favorite models on the market.

I have always wanted a Starlet.
How long you had it?
I have 3 Japanese cars in my driveway. One is a 1992 Honda Civic with 639,000 miles (~1 million kilometers). The other two are newer Hondas with near 300,000 miles. None of them are luxurious or beautiful (subjectively) but they're all reliable and efficient.
Well that's all I need, reliable not luxurious
Best thing is that you can get a brand new Honda or Toyota with a high trim (or an Acura or Lexus) with all the features you desire and it will still be a reliable choice. You aren't forced to forgo luxurious interiors for Japanese reliability as people had to do in the past.

Did you say toyota?
As a European I can say that most of South Europe don't want to buy a car from Volkswagen group, people tend to focus more on Toyota or other Asian automakers. It's more than a fact nowadays that German cars are not reliable as they used to be and of course a 5 year bmw cannot compete in price with a 5 year Toyota car... sure the future is going to be interesting and I'm going to watch to see what's coming! Great video!
@@christophernicolasviertel8967 Did you see Throttle car channel (two Canadian guys) reviewing the new S class? They pressed on the front/panel/dashboard and it was SQUEAKY, unlike how things were before. But they did say that this is probably because the car was assembled in Alabama, not in Germany. (Alabama is famous in the USA for killing Mercedes’ reliability fame.)
i would say it depends. i have a case where a toyota manual transmission after around 280tkm failed but i now a few mercedes with more miles (or km in that case) and they work quite well still. also you have to take into acount the german brands quite often have significant more power and/or more fuel efficent. and the technology for that is often more prone to fail over time. so, it depends i would say.

It is no surprise that Bitcoin, a secure, global, and digital currency has claimed the interest of investors.
No matter the stock market crash one needs to have different portfolio, I already invested in Forex and Crypto which are really profitable
I have been involved in trading in recent times and ever since then I haven't lacked anything I have cash to spend and I'm living comfortable
Note: Bitcoin with a capital “B” references Bitcoin the network or Bitcoin the payment system; bitcoin with a lowercase “b” references bitcoin as a currency or bitcoin the currency unit.👌
Why Invest in Bitcoin?
I had intrest in investing in Forex and crypto but I was discouraged by friends and family, I was being ignorant though
Dad worked at a GM factory...in the 1980's they were still trying to make quality parts on machines from the 1920's! No wonder quality dropped...and so did buyers.
It takes 12 hours to make a Toyota and 6 months to make a Rolls Royce. Just a fun fact for you :)
I don't know what it should mean to the video but ironically whilst average Rolls Royce being around 20 times more expensive than an average Toyota, made-in-a-6-months Rolls Royce is still less reliable than the average 12-hour-made Toyota. lol

Very interesting. My entire family (wife and three grown children) have driven Toyotas exclusively for many years with two notable exceptions. We've probably driven 25 toyotas among us WITHOUT A SINGLE ISSUE. I deviated with a 1999 Dodge Ram truck. BIG MISTAKE. My daughter-in-law wanted a Honda Pilot a few years ago. Not as big, but still a mistake because the engine will not run smoothly and the dealership can't isolate the problem. I will stick with Toyotas until someone shows me a better built, more reliable product. I haven't seen one in years.

Japanese engine quality 1st but Japanese interior quality the least. If we compared the interior of Hilux and Ranger, it feels much different in interior, so much plastic rather than the Ford gave us, more "soft touch"
I rather have plastic in the interior than plastic in the engine bay.. Peace bro.. and English is my second language, thanks
agreed
but interiors we can adjust
and japaneese luxury brands have good interiors 😊
.....in the hilux's defense, they're manufactured in thailand.
Nissan is no longer reliable because of their horrible jacko CVTs. Nissan's quality went down after merging with Renault
Did you ever own a Nissan car?
Renault only have thier share in Nissan company.
Manufacturing wise Nissan is 100% Japanese amd nothing to do with Renault.
I have owned Nissan vehicles it is as good as Toyota
Interesting topics covered in these videos indeed! There must have been a lot of effort going into the production, kudos for that!
Improvement opportunity: the viewing/learning experience would be better and maybe the spread of the videos would be easier too if the voiceover was made by a speaker who is closer to native. I'm not native either but it makes understanding much harder to listen to non-native voice and a number of times i had to guess some words.
Just a little suggestion, you should put your sources in the description. For one it makes you more trustworthy. And it also helps if people want to know more about the topic and read for themselves, so they already have a good starting point.

The American auto manufactures don't put quality as high priority as the Japanese and Toyota do. They are more focused on profits
Short term profits that is, they look at quarterly reports and not at their brands overall reputation in the long run. American auto brands are more irrelevant now than they have ever been.

So German cars give a better 'driving experience'... yes, it's 'fun' being on the side of the road in 90ºF weather waiting for a tow truck that's going to charge you $200+ just to get the car to the dealership. Yes- it's fun when there is an electrical issue and the BMW 'technician' recommends replacing the ECM because he can't find the real problem- ever buy a brain for a 21st century car? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ American cars ??? please... don't even get me started.
Don't worry. Tesla couldn't even use autopilot even underground in a controlled tunnel, selfdriving cars won't be a thing within our lifetime.
Probably the highest level autonomy possible right now is just Level 3. Level 4 around few more decades. Level 5 is still a long shot.
I love your videos man, a shame u haven't blown up yet.

Japanese cars targets common people. Whereas German cars targets more rich and successful people.
Therefore. For luxury and driving experience, as well as better reliability and safety than the German cars - get a Volvo 😁 my Volvo V70 is a beast and tank of a car. Powerful, fast, safe, reliable, comfortable and full of luxury 😁
It's still aren't as reliable as toyota. I've research on volvo reliability and it said that volvo is average.
@@dxtnguyxn4179 then that research has shown the wrong results. What I see as being part of several Volvo forums is that the majority of their cars last well beyond 400.000 miles, without a spot of rust that isn't basic surface rust which really doesn't play any significant role. Their engines are bullet proof, especially their 5-cylinder engines, but even their old redblock engines are still seen on a frequent basis and those went out of production 23 years ago now. So while Toyota may be reliable, they really aren't so much in comparison to a Volvo. And they're not as safe or comfortable either.
@@Zirkobi u can just search is Volvo reliable and it will tell you. Volvo cars has allot of technology in which will make the car less reliable. I’m not talking about old Volvo btw

Awesome video! I really want to create a Brazilian channel with this kind of video. Which program do you use to create these animations? Thank you!!! :)
Not only European autos are bad. The American autos are very bad, too. They have very poor build quality because they’re always cutting corners to build their autos the cheapest way possible for way more profits. As a result, you sacrifice reliability in which is the most important thing that customers look for in any automobile brand. Customers don’t want a car or suv that’s going to fall apart on them at very low mileage.
Toyota has fallen behind in tech with their outdated infotainment system that didn't have Android Auto or Apple CarPlay which they kept putting into cars up to 2019.
The whole thing sounded like you basically don’t want the Japanese to be better than the Germans in making cars. 😙 I think the biggest problem for the the German car manufacturers these days is their weakened brand image. Anyone with a job can afford a brand new Mercedes in 2021, same for Porsche. This wasn’t the case 35 years ago when they didn’t sell the cheapies.
False lol
Amazing like always
Thank you so much 😀

My Aunts 1998 Lexus RX lasted for 489,000 miles. I haven't owned an American car in over 25 years
Wanted to buy a Toyota, but ended up choosing VW instead (used car segment of 4-7-year-old cars). The ancient-looking display, scratchy plastic, which rumbles a bit when driving, slow to change gears CVT gearbox and relatively low power was that drove me away from them. Also sad, that it only takes 3-4 years for a new Toyota to catch rust in our climate even if it was maintained in a dealership... They're more reliable than VW, I don't doubt that, but when you can choose which one you like to be in more it definitely is not Toyota. Android Auto, soft materials, better styling, lovely DSG gearbox, hell, you can even get a digital display and of course a thicker coat of paint are great features, nice enough to convince me, especially since I don't plan to maintain the same car longer than 4 or 5 years.
Well in this case, you are a prime targeted customer of the VW group. They're building cars to last for about 5-7 years so you have to buy the next one after that, just because your old one broke down. VW cars tend to last not as long because VW focuses on mass production, decreasing costs and increasing profits for the investors. A Toyota may not be top of the line when it comes to infotainment, but everything else will last so much longer. This is the reason an asian car won't cost you as much as a german car in the long run.
@Yule Calma Well I have my reasons, I worked on those cars as such as others for some years, but it may vary in different places around the globe. In Germany, thats where I come from, VW has a certain reputation to fullfill the basic needs of most people, but mostly as vehicles that get you from point A to point B, though I can only talk about the things I witnessed.
Also the limbic aberrations. Big company wheels running away from Japan in cardboard boxes. And now contributions to American politicians, off again, on again. Maybe just stick to making cars?
And they were slow to electrify and got wiped out.
American cars are purposely built to break. The customer is obliged to buy newer cars due to built in obsolescence. The customer also repeatedly brings the car back for service.
He called BMW bmv lol
Buying to Corolla cross, cool right?
Will not dominate the electric market
My cab and uber driver told me to get japanese and skip American, German, etc cars lmao

The channel is so good. Auto sub at 63.3k. Just the matter of time this gonna explode.
I use to want a vehicle from gm, ford, or Chrysler but ford is plagued with bad transfer cases. They also have bad transmissions in their fusions, automatic fiestas, and their automatic focuses. They chose to use a clutch controlled by the ecu instead of a torque converter. Gm makes vehicles with the most cheapest and unreliable materials and dodge can’t make a transmission if their their life’s depended on it. I laid my eyes on the Toyota Tacoma and fell in love with it. Toyota vehicles never seem to die and Toyota actually listens to every customers requests. For example I wanted a truck that was compact, reliable, off-road, have outstanding towing capacity, and have a manual transmission like old trucks use to have and then bam. Toyota brought out the Tacoma TRD Pro.
My neighbors keep buying used American cars and are always working on them and have gotten rid of 2 of their purchases in the last year.
Meanwhile my family has bought used Toyotas and have had no problems. You would think they would learn.
The three Ford cars we have were bought used. Newest one is a 2012. Sometimes they get new tires. Oh, and my 20-YEAR OLD TAURUS just took a new alternator.
