Someone in my guild posted your video to discord, never heard of you before but really appreciate you tackling this topic. I try to be as efficient as possible with my resources and was just testing this out last conquest cycle. Thanks for doing the legwork for me, now I know.
Thank you for the tips! Had some new things for me as well. Very helpful video! Bf's/my Datacron inventory always have around 10 Datacron. 1-2 is the cheese ones, which do OP things and making dealing with GLs without GLs easy/managable. Next 5/3 are DS/LS boosters at lv6 and lv3 depending on funds. F2P and we were laser focused on getting D.Bane, so at the moment we got a bit less. Never had more Datacrons as 10, and besides the fun cheese ones, I look at them a borrowed powers and try to not get used to using them. My favorite cheese ones were the Yoda unlimited turn by jumping aoe (not the Conquest card) refreshes, could kill any GL, and Darth Vader doing Merciless Massacre with the same cron. Current fav. DC is the Solo Sidious 5 dot kill. Makes life easy, but a bit high costing.
Great video. SO MANY people ignore datacrons, often because they "don't like them". Usually it's because they don't understand them. I try to preach this to my guild. Even if you just have a low level datacron, it can make a difference.
Nice explanation. The 4th part of datacrons is the breakdown of them that happens every second conquest. You would do a service describing how to best plan for that. I know some people farm sector 5 bonus node not because they want to reroll DCs, but because the reroll mats supposedly convert better at the end?
It's pretty hard to find good DC guides on youtube, so I really appreciate you taking the time to make this. At what point do you decide to give up on a DC and dismantle it if it's not hitting the stats/bonuses you're looking for? I've been taking them to lvl 4 before giving up on them, but I'm thinking I should quit earlier to save on data-cache. Thoughts?
I think in the early days you should focus on volume over "giving up" on a DC. Even "bad" DCs are better than no DC - the value you get back from a breakdown is a fraction of its cost. If i'm not happy with the stats I'll stop rolling that cron and work on a new one until I have a full invent, that's when I start breaking them down
Great comment and reply - I’ve definitely been caught in the trap of re-rolling Lvl 3 and Lvl 6 in the hunt of the perfect combo (*cough* doubt cron set) But thanks to this guide I’ve re-evaluated my approach moving forward
Well done scribble you’ve explained everything perfectly. Gotta get my crons up and running and this has definitely given me the insight I needed. Cheers bro.
Possibly the best video I have seen so far about DC and Conquest. I am in a semi-casual semi-progress guild and there are many guys who are not into DC yet. I guess this video could change that.
Wish I could like this video twice! Thanks Scrybe for covering this - been clueless about DC’s for a while and no one has really covered this. Legend 💪🏻
I am constantly running out of mk2s, and I usually do 6 conquest energy refreshes every day. This will be a great video for anyone new to datacrons for sure.
Thought a separate note darkside lightside choice can be rerolled untill level 5 if i have more of one than the other so i farm a good few to 5 and switch to right alignment like just now plenty level 5 darkside changing them to lightside if there high protection in search of a good jedi cron for JML
Love the guide, thanks very much Sadly not having much luck on the latest set, not a single good lvl 6 yet in about 10 crons, and got CUP on my only Level 9 :( Seems like there's even more RNG than normal in this set and it's going to be re-roll central, which is not great
@@ScrybeGaming the tips were all great, I just can’t believe how many times I repeated the battles to get single reward drops, and some how not see the Multi sim button, the amount of time I could’ve saved 😂😂
Just a question, why do people with high gp, as yourself Level 9 datacrons once they have the character cron already (like for example having like 3 kit fisto or something), isn't it just a waste of materials?
Me at the start of this vid: watching while farming sector 1 node for data chache....OOPS LOL Thanks for the vid! What would we do without you Scrybe!!! (side note: got my first ever Conquest red crate thanks to all your conquest vids. Thank you!)
Thank you. I took a couple years off playing and when I came back I was like "wtf?" I see they just added another pay wall also. I'm not sure if I'm going to continue playing even though I'm already heavily invested.
I know those extra bonus modes are inefficient, but they’re super helpful on accounts that can’t beat conquest. I can just get an early box and then sim for DCs on my smaller account and I now have a holdocron for my Rey team
@@ScrybeGaming yep. Just pointing out that it’s actually really awesome value for those of us who can’t complete conquest. Being able to throw that Holdocron on defense will be huge next season
You should only dismantle datacrons if you need to spend some of your datacache before it is automatically dusted; i.e - if you have so many high level datacrons that you're going to exceed the 60mill datacache cap when they dust. There's no difference between dusting manually and auto dusting otherwise
Oh no! I have been really needing data cache lately, and figured I would rather farm the sector 1 node than use shard shop currency. Will follow your advice 👍
Been smahing DC kind of like this takes so much time i farm the 1 mill and level 1/2 rerolls and the 360 g12+ gear are my only use with shard shop currency but i use 3k plus shard shop currency per day its hard keeping it up
you have 3000 mk1 mats, at a drop of 5-15 on the node you tell us to farm, thats an average of 400 runs, aka 8000 conquest energy. its conquest day 2. how did you spend 8000 conquest energy in 2 days? and thats just the small ones, not counting all your medium and large mats. i get to crate 3-4 in like 5-7 days of conquest, then divert all refreshes and energy and everything to datacrons and can get enough for like 5 using this method presented. like what?
obviously refreshing and farming is the way to go, it just doesnt explain how you have thousands and thousands worth at the start of conquest, when you're supposed to be spending energy right now pushing through all of the conquest itself. with 3x refreshes and daily regen you get 480 energy a day, thats only 24 battles if you're perfect and drop no battles. that still takes most of the first week to clear all of conquest. more if you have to redo or do extra battles for feats.
They really should redo the prices in the store those prices were set before we could sim datacron nodes so you can make an argument before the time lost doing each battle lost stamina all have value. the store crystal prices you need to be going into the 400's in conquest before they even come close to having value
I think they're there to provide different things tbh. More aimed at those that don't care about conquest at all (or can't do it at all) and just want the datacrons, no matter what the cost. That being said, I do think the prices should be looked at again.
@@ScrybeGaming also about providing resources when there isnt any conquest running. and the whales who want to go into that first conquest with all the datacrons they need
The saddest part after being a f2p player for 7 years is to have to engage with this crap.Honestly its the worst addition i ever saw on a video game. This comes from a 11.8M GP,Kyber 1 player.Great video though,I wish this video existed 1 year ago that i had to accept that this was the only way i would have a crystal income through gac.
I wouldn't call it the worst personally :). I think it's probably the most enjoyable change they've done to META gaming; it keeps things fun and interesting *when done right* - god forbid we get another LV with dodge and no cooldowns and ramping mastery! I went through four years of f2p success, hitting the top of GAC and both arenas, etc. I'll take datacrons over there being one META team to rule them all.
No offense, but you just wrongly corrected the man on something he wasn't pronouncing wrong. I've been a publishing editor before, and know grammar and the English language QUITE well. Cache is 100% pronounced "cash", with a slight emphasis on the "sh" syllable. However, some other forms of English, like in Europe, pronounce it as "kase". Whether you say "caSh", or " kAse", it's correct either way. What's NOT correct would be to say "cashay". Idk why you tried to correct him and say that. The "che" at the end is not from a French root, nor is there an accent on the "e", so you're just completely wrong. It's really silly to try to correct someone's accurate grammar or pronunciation, and wind up wrong yourself.
