Modern Cton Tournament Game 2 Group Stage (Co-Cast With Hardrada!) | Civ 3

- Hey guys! This is the second game for our modern CTON tournament. 14 players, hundreds of dollars in prizes, all done anonymously for the first round!
CTON is a free for all. Players are forbidden to talk or conduct diplomacy with their rivals. They are awarded score for taking cities or killing kings, combined with in game score. Whoever has the most score after 58 turns (dead or alive) wins the match!
Players are awarded 6 points for 1st place, 5 for 2nd place, 4 for 3rd, etc. They play 3 games across 2 weekends. The top half of players in terms of points will advance to playoffs!

the guessing game is very enticing and adds another layer to the watching experience - the game is way less predictable if you don't know who's who and it's always fun to try and pick up on small things in order to identify some players
Note: at one point in this video I announce the name of one of the players by accident. All the different players identities were revealed before this video was posted, so I didn't bother to edit it out here.

it will be great if you can talk about the city placement in the first 2, 3 turns...especially when the choices are tricky. also choice of govt is always a great one to talk about too
Good idea, I'll try to do that more during downtime. A few city placements did get ire from me, like Cheeze's in this game.
Hey Suede! As a pretty casual, but enthusiastic, Civ III player for ab 15 years, I recently discovered your channel and am loving it! I have a quick question for you. I got a new laptop about a year ago and have not been able to run Civ III on Steam since. Every time I try launching it, I get the following error: "Error loading font (Error Code: 13)!" I've looked online everywhere and feel like I've tried everything, including installing the proper font onto my computer, which didn't work. I was wondering if you might know how to fix this. Thanks!
I've heard of a lot of bugs but I've never heard of that one in my life. Have you tried reinstalling?

Hi all, I love playing Civ3 for years. But my old laptop broke and I'm struggling with installing Civ3 on a Win10 system? Does anyone know a safe step-by-step instruction how to accomplish this?
Are you having issues with resolution? Some people struggle but I've never heard of it being a safety issue. So hey, good news there.
