#उत्तराखंड के #अल्मोड़ा से ३५ किलोमीटर दूर स्थित केंद्र #जागेश्वर #धाम के #प्राचीन #मंदिर #प्राकृतिक #सौंदर्य से भरपूर इस क्षेत्र को सदियों से #आध्यात्मिक #जीवंतताप्रदान कर रहे हैं। यहां लगभग २५० मंदिर हैं जिनमें से एक ही स्थान पर छोटे-बडे २२४ मंदिर स्थित हैं।
उत्तर #भारत में गुप्त #साम्राज्य के दौरान #हिमालय की #पहाडियों के #कुमाऊं क्षेत्र में कत्यूरीराजा थे। जागेश्वर मंदिरों का निर्माण भी उसी काल में हुआ। इसी कारण मंदिरों में गुप्त साम्राज्य की झलक भी दिखलाई पडती है। #भारतीय #पुरातत्व #सर्वेक्षण #विभाग के अनुसार इन मंदिरों के निर्माण की अवधि को तीन कालों में बांटा गया है। कत्यरीकाल, उत्तर कत्यूरीकाल एवं #चंद्र काल। #बर्फानी #आंचल पर बसे हुए #कुमाऊं के इन साहसी राजाओं ने अपनी अनूठी कृतियों से #देवदार के #घने #जंगल के मध्य बसे #जागेश्वर में ही नहीं वरन् पूरे #अल्मोडा जिले में चार सौ से अधिक मंदिरों का निर्माण किया जिसमें से जागेश्वर में ही लगभग २५० छोटे-बडे मंदिर हैं। मंदिरों का निर्माण लकडी तथा सीमेंट की जगह पत्थर की बडी-बडी #shilaon से किया गया है। दरवाजों की चौखटें #देवी #देवताओं की प्रतिमाओं से अलंकृत हैं। मंदिरों के निर्माण में #तांबे की चादरों और देवदार की लकडी का भी प्रयोग किया गया है।
#जागेश्वर को #पुराणों में #हाटकेश्वर और भू-राजस्व लेखा में पट्टी पारूणके नाम से जाना जाता है। पतित पावन जटागंगा के तट पर #समुद्रतल से लगभग 6200 फुट की #ऊंचाई पर स्थित पवित्र जागेश्वर की #नैसर्गिक #सुंदरता #अतुलनीय है। #कुदरत ने इस स्थल पर अपने अनमोल खजाने से #खूबसूरती जी भर कर लुटाई है। लोक विश्वास और लिंग पुराण के अनुसार जागेश्वर संसार के पालनहार #भगवान #विष्णु द्वारा स्थापित बारह #ज्योतिर्लिगों में से एक है।
Jageshwar is situated at an elevation of 1,870 mts above sea level and at a distance of 37 kms from Almora. Jageshwar is an important tourist destination of Kumaon and receives thousands of visitors every year. It is situated amidst dense Deodar forest with a stream flowing at its backyard.

#Vridhjageshwar - temple is situated slightly upstream from the Jageshwar temple complex. This temple about 3 km uphill Jageshwar, called the Old Shiva, is said to be the abode of Shiva before he came down to Jageshwar. The unremitting peace they emanate is one of the most fascinating aspects about both Jageshwar and Vridh Jageshwar.

#kasardevi - Perched just 8 km from Almora, Kasar Devi is a hushed hamlet situated in the silence of verdant Kumaon hills. One of the many hidden jewels in Uttarakhand, Kasar Devi village derives its name from the namesake local deity, Kasar Devi. A Devi temple erected in her reverence is a popular pilgrimage destination in the vicinity of Almora. The serenity exuberated at Kasar Devi is only superseded by the majestic panoramic view of the valleys, rivers and hamlets.

I have seen jageshwar dham... While on trip to nainital..in 2012
I am glad. The reason is that when i went jageshwar dham. I was 9 year old. I captured every view there which i could. Now i am 22 year old but still this holly dham is in my memory. when i was watching this video, many things have been changed and i saw a shop from where i brought namkin it was very tasty. Thank you for memorising the vibes.

NASA research says that there are 3 places on earth under the influence of Van Allen Belt- Kasar Devi Temple is one endowed with a cosmic energy - Machu Pichu in Peru and UK’s Stonehenge are other two such places.
