He's honestly the biggest sweetheart, I also saw him live and after the show he talked to me about it because he saw me bawling my eyes out... best night of my life

My Sister and I just recently saw him in Sydney, Australia and, like every concert he did in Australia, Yungblud centred his message around our frustrations around our government and the fires that are still affecting our lives; but he did it in a way that it brought us together that at one point I was joking around with a complete stranger. Through his performance of Polygraph eyes he ended it with stopping the concert for a moment because a girl had fainted, told everyone to watch out for each other (even though no one knew each other) and then said “if there’s anyone out there who’s felt like you’ve never had a choice or like they couldn’t say no then you leave that here in this room tonight” and for the first time in my life I saw my sister catch her breath and begin tearing up because it struck her on a personal level. Above anything Yungblud is down to Earth and loves and appreciates the fame and fans he has and shows his appreciation by speaking of topics that sometimes (dare I say most) of the time that the younger generations wish the older generations would understand about from their perspective. He’s an amazing person and I highly recommend seeing him live because most of his performance is about thanking fans making us a family more than a following.

I saw him a couple of months ago in Denmark, it was amazing. After the concert he came running out to his fans just to say hi and talk, everyone went fucking crazy around him and he loved it. At some point the security had to escort him to his Taxi, and everyone ran after them.
On their way one of the security guards pushed a girl away, and he got so mad! “Don’t you dare push her!! Don’t you dare push my fucking family!!!!” and kept pulling and pushing himself away from the guard.
If u have any doubt that he love his fanbase, then I think this is proof enough that he does.
I love that he doesn't tolerate violence/assault at his shows. I've seen clips of him stopping mid-song just to break up a fight or stop people from harming another to get to the front. He's incredible. I love him. >.

I love how you actually talk about the message in the song and analyze lines specifically. I enjoy hearing other people's thoughts on his lyrics. I would love to see a part three of more of his songs or even interviews. I think his interviews are very informative. He talks about his lyrics in some of them and he's so passionate about his music that when he talks about them it's just incredible. It's amazing how deep his songs go. Also, his sort film, lonely together, is a great insight into how he thinks and feels.
If you were to listen to more of his songs, I recommend:
- 11 Minutes with Halsey and Travis Barker (based on a true story- his Genius interview about the song is great)

The end of Psychotic Kids leads into another song of his called Doctor Doctor, that's where the sudden tropical guitar comes from. Also a fantastic song along the same thematic vein as braindead!
Edit: I highly suggest the band Phantogram! Any of their songs including anything from Three and songs like When I'm Small and You Are The Ocean (And Im Good At Drowning)

I'm 40 and Yungblud is even relevant to me. I listen to him with my girls. His music has really helped me talk to them about mental health and gun violence and sexual assault. Yungblud's message is also about being different and embracing the differences in others.

A really really good live clip of him is when he played Hope for the underrated Youth at Reading Festival.
And I also feel like you'd love his interview with sky news, I think it's titled something like 'old people have robbed our generation'. It really shows his views on a lot of things and made me really like 'fall in love' with his personality.

I’m 40 and I have never related to someone so much! Some times I feel like he’s looking into my brain lol
yungblud will forever mean so much to me i can’t even explain it. i’ve always struggled with internal ableism about my autism (high functioning, so i often think of myself as “not autistic enough”) and his songs about mental health have really helped me through that when i’ve needed it. he’s insanely inspirational and i only hope i can see him live at some point.
He’s stated in interviews that he hates how it’s easier to buy a gun than a beer in this world

Honestly the thing that first got me into his music was a video of him at a concert kicking out a guy for mistreating a girl audience member. From there I had to check out his stuff. Cussing out a disrespectful guy while wearing his signature skirt just- that’s when I started seeking out his stuff
I was able to go to one of his shows in October and as a survivor, hearing him sing Polygraph Eyes live made me lose it! I was up front and sobbing. He locked eyes with me and gave me a reassuring head nod. He just knew. I love him. He’s just amazing.

I went to a yungblud show last year and it was sooooo amazing, the energy is incredible and I don’t think I stopped moving for the whole show.
He has such an energetic personality and the fans interact so well, I really think you’d enjoy seeing him live!
Seeing his reaction to Polygraph Eyes honestly made me very happy because ive been through a situation that was shown through the song, and most people like candy coat the situation or "water it down" kind of of that makes sense, people dont believe that stuff like this happens to people irl and it makes me happy seeing that someone else understands what the song truly is

This is so my reaction to him. He's young as hell but wise beyond his years...His songs hit hard AF. He's so talented and he knows how to make you feel....then you watch him in interviews and he's legit like a puppy. He just wants to be loved and accepted and he's got that ADHD energy. I think one point Yungblud makes is that he wants his songs to be catchy to repeat words because then you really hear the message. With polygraph eyes and machine gun they both have catchy parts and I thinks it’s on purpose because when something is catchy you sing it more or you listen to it more. Like he brings out his deep messages with his catchy music! The more you learn the lyrics the more you realize how methodical his songs all are. He has a new album dropping December 4th 2020 and each song he’s released so far is so good, and he also takes his fans stories and gets their messages out. His song called Mars was inspired by a trans teen, and many of his songs come from the stories that have touched him the most. This man is extremely talented, and I’m so glad he has such a big platform because he truly deserves it. He calls his fans his family and openly speaks out about how they can be themselves with him, they can be who they are and they have people who will support them in their life choices. I grew up listening to and working with bands and even though I’ve never met yungblud I would say he seems to be the most down to earth and fan friendly musician, like I remember some of the bands I loved would say they were about their fans and the connection but when time came to act on their words they dissed or dismissed their fans.... He’s said in so many interviews how he is only half of Yungblud....the other half being the fans and community he created. He won an award and instead of going to an after party he went to a pub to celebrate with his fans...

I'm so glad that you ended up doing a second part of yungblud's music, he's been one of the most impactful singers/bands I've found in the past couple years. The way that he interweaves such important and deep meanings into fun and quite frankly incredibly fun songs is such a testament to his abilities. He talks in such a way that it relates so deeply to this younger generation who are so angry and frustrated with the course of the world and the complete lack of control. Polygraph Eyes is by far one of my favorite songs and I'm so glad you watched/listened to it; it's such an important message. I'm so glad you like him so much!
Also if you can I fully suggest seeing him live! This past summer I went to see him live and it was truly such a life changing experience, during the F*ck the NRA we all moshed and chanted the mantra of F*ck the NRA while letting out all of the anger and frustration and it was so freeing and liberating to be like none of us are alone in these thoughts and feelings.
It would be great if you reacted to some interviews of him, he really carries his intentions forwards when he talks and it's so clear how passionate and truly genuine he is about everything he is talking about.

Polygraph eyes was the first song I ever heard from Dom..and Jesus..I was so impressed! As someone who has been through stuff like this I could relate on so many levels. I loved that he's so direct about it but without insulting anyone. And he was so young when he released this,but still aware that things like this happen and are a real problem in our society
The thing I really love about Yungblud is his connection to fans. Every show he either helps someone in the crowd or says a speech that impacts everyone in that room or even both. When you’re in that room with him playing, you’re immediately all friends. It’s like a family. Yungblud is always finding ways to connect to fans, meeting them before shows, after shows, FaceTiming them every now and then and so much more. He cares about us and we care about him. No artist will ever connect to fans in the way he does. I could give so many more examples of him connecting with fans but I’d be writing a book. He’s an amazing person and artist

Polygraph Eyes kills me every single fucking time. In the UK we have places called SARCs. It is a Sexual Assault Referral Centre. When I had to go a girl there showed me this song and the rest is history. Yungblud has my whole heart.
He is so good, you should watch his live shows and interviews. He has great influences but is so original. Writes his own stuff. I am old af but I can't get enough of his music. Keeps me in touch with the youth of today.

you should try to Stan the 1975. I recommend "Somebody Else", "The Ballad Of Me And My Brain", "People", and "Frail State Of Mind"
My 10 year old son has adhd as well. We tried medication for a few months, but I hated the way it effected him. So I took him off it. He didn’t need it. What he needed and got is understanding and teachers and a school plan that works with him. He is doing so well. He is much calmer, happier, and listens. There are times when he has an anger or hyper outburst, but he works through it on his own. I’m so proud of him. He worked so hard to get where he is now.
I'm an older teen with adhd, if you happen to have questions for someone who has gone through it, you can ask me anything. I know a lot of parents that have kids with learning disabilities don't have older people to ask questions. I'm so glad he's able to go off meds.

And pretty much any interview he gives will give you lots of info on his thought process to writing , not to mention he has ADHD and is a really sweet and funny guy to listen too
