Where on Earth do Yamaha find their demonstration/brand ambassadors? The machines alone sound great but they find extremely talented musicians with superb product knowledge. It's always been the same as far back as I can remember.
I love the MODX but I feel like Yamaha is not listening to the users. They are just recycling the same keyboard just with more polyphony, FM synthesis and more memory. It would be nice if one could upgrade their existing MODX. They missed the opportunity to add a much needed easier way to access rhythms and drum patterns, perhaps an integrated looper (the sequencer is not the same thing as a looper) physically they could have add more faders, maybe separate outputs, Bluetooth, guitar strap buttons and maybe even speakers haha! I don’t know it seems like what they have done; could have been done on an update and/or an upgrade rather than having to buy a new keyboard. But I love my MODX I wish they had a keytar with MODX guts to compete with Roland’s Axe Edge.
Yeah, and how about a “playable” piano sound while they’re at it! I mean, the pianos for, say, just playing some jazz standards or light classical sound awful. My nearly 10 year old Nord Stage 2 compact literally kills the MODX7 when it comes to actual piano sounds, both in just the sound itself and definitely in the playability (how the action is integrated/programmed to respond to physical inputs and trigger an appropriate “piano” sound…) How can one of the world’s greatest piano makers get this so wrong? Any suggestions for good piano sound downloads for MODX7?
I own both. Yes they are different. If you can swing the montage get it. The sample rates are less on the modx and is the biggest draw back. The weighted key bed isn't too bad.
80s TV series FTW! These bring out some very serious warm and fuzzies lol
Stella playing as always from Luke.
Just scored one and it’s awesome. Only thing that I could dream of to add would be Yamaha’s virtual analog modeling (AN) like in their classic AN1X.
i love the organ sound at 12:50

This product is more indicative that a "Montage +" is probably also in the works.
So specifically -what new sounds does the modx'plus have that the standard modx ??
Your style is incredible
Sounds great! Curious as to what type of amplification system it is being played through.
Is there any difference in features and sound between the three models? Or is it jusy the keybed and key range?
Too bad yamaha haven't implemented a better synth action keybed on this new model (6 a 7 versions).
You want a better synth action Keybed for how much, half the price of it flagship keyboard?
Does the 8 have a different keybed?

If you want all of that...spend another thousand dollars and get the Montage
@@smilyle The Montage doesn’t have any of the things I mentioned that they could have implemented.
Guitar strap buttons and speakers? Get out
@@Wagoo I know haha a little overkill haha

Any info about if they will release the computer software as in the montage m for modx+?
waiting for Yamaha VL resurrected ... the physical modeling
This video is putting me to sleep. Maybe because its 2 am in Toronto.
Great features👍👍👍👍👍
I need to decide quickly between the MODX+8 or the Fantom 7.
Does the MODX+ have a setlist capability?
Yamaha is best keyboard. 1 have. Own speaker. 2. Work with. Battery . Any where you go. No problem. And very best sounds to
WOT STILL no aftertouch????
The first piano sound, so much reverb…., why ?
Im so torn. This or the PSR SX700? Both have great sounds but the PSR has better acoustic instruments it seems..
This has even better acoustic sounds (in all areas) than the SX700. The SX700 dosen't even have CFX grand piano whereas the MODX has.
niceee
Why compare it to a Montage when that’s not the competition 🤔
I think the keyboard of the MODX8 plus is different to the Montage 8 keyboard. Is this correct?
I own both. Yes they are different.

This is by far the worst upgrade
Nonsense demo useless
