Anyone know How much torque that RAG box good for in a light car? Is 1k hp with sticky tires out of the question? Also about how much do you have invested in the gear box including the adapters and electronics? i’m guessing 7/8k to do the swap. Thanks
Factory clutches are good for around 750lb/ft, and aftermarket clutches will bump that number up to 1,000lb/ft. Id say it depends on your use case. I personally wouldn’t use this in a drag race car for example, but it may be able to sustain that power in a road race car if set up properly. I’d say you’re in the right ballpark regarding cost.
So excited to see the olds back on the track after this trans swap!!
Can’t wait to show you!!
Super exiting stuff. I'm eager to see how this goes.
Absolutely! We are just as excited to see how this turns out.
Nice! We are going to need a lot of video updates on this transmission project.
Thank you! We will have a ton of content coming out over the next few months!
Been wanting to do this also but holding off for the same reason. Really looking forward to this!
Thanks for following along!
Been watching your build since you first started on it. I’d be interested in buying your Holley controller if you’d like to sell it.
This is gone be crazy….cant wait to see this
Oh man, I’m subbing for this. I’m excited to see how it turns out!
Awesome, thanks for following along!
Interested to see the periphials you will use like the controller, shifter, and harnessing.
We’ll be covering all of that in detail through this series!
Following anything that beats holleye or zf programmers boxes

Thanks for the reply. Good luck on the project.
@@scottgarmon4865 no problem!
My guess, you’re going with Haltech
Haha good guess! We went with an elite 2500
I saw your other updated videos after I said Haltech
That cute little transmission is going to handle the power that beast puts out?
Yep! These things live in bmws that make just as much power as my car does
pure drivetrain build these to hold 1200hp+ and run high 7 on the 1/4
