LYRICS - Previous wars make billionaires out of millionaires, Todays wars make trilionaires out of billionaires Tomorrows wars will fuel generations of hate, generations of hate I'm losing my grip on reality I can not simply agree that we are civilized Acting like this earth is infinite, it's a chessboard of lies That will generate, stalemate. It will generate stalemate So yes I've, gone to the hills again So yes I've, gone away Money is made when bombs are dropping in Afghanistan And when phosphorous falls in Palestine. Hauling weapons out of reprobates. Harming anyone who wants a taste, of disgrace. Who wants a taste, of disgrace. So yes I've, gone to the hills again. So yes I've, gone away. So yes I've, gone away.
Never like today this song means so much to all of us. My heart is with the people in Ukraine, Myanmar, Afghanistan and all other countries destroyed by war. My generation was lucky enough to have Enter Shikari so let's not just enjoy the music but let's understand the meaning of their words before we make the same mistakes our fathers did. Thank you Rou, Rory C, Chris and Rob for your beautiful art, it's not going to be wasted.
How has this not had more thumbs up? I read this out loud to myself as the song closed. It felt in its own way very Shikari-esqu. Thank you. Stay safe. I love you all. x
I only found you recently, and this song was one i fell in love with immediatly, I am so happy this came out, I am in love with this version of the song, thank you enter shikari
Incredible rendering of a non less incredible title. It's such a dense and rich mix of power, gentleness, sensibility and dark emotion deep inside. It's very Enter Shikari-esque and there's probably no other way to say how amazing your music sounds.
When people ask me why I think the country and the world is fucked I point them to this song, written over a decade ago. Nothings changed. I hate it here.
@@Nuaex One thing is Russia and its population, and another thing is Putin and his government jerks. Breaking relationship with Vada doesn't improve things at any point.
The harmony is bliss. This song came to my head when reading the news. Loved Shikari for as long as I can remember
More than 10 years since it was released and it's always going to be relevant

Wasn't it originally "Hoarding weapons at a record pace, arming anyone who wants a taste of disgrace"?

Music that matters. Music with meaning. I’ll forever be grateful for being part of the ES family.
These songs seem to become more and more relevant by each day that passes.
Love this band with all my heart

Thank you Enter Shikari for never making me regret the impulse shikari tattoo I got when I was 18
So sick! Love that they're still giving the AFFOC deep cuts the attention they deserve
Totally agree. I'd say it's my favourite ES album

@Enter Shikari Need to see a new live fanfare for the conscious man.

❤️❤️❤️🇧🇷
especially hurts to listen to this song nowadays
I despise how awfully relevant this track becomes every passing moment. Wars and hate are not over ideals, but over greed.

Are enter shikari Russian agents?
Wtf?
@@chirripitiflauticoid Vada is a russian site
@@Nuaex and?
Does it mean that bc they (Vada) are Russian they have to agree with the war?
Obviously not.
@@chirripitiflauticoid sensible thing to do would be for shikari to distance themselves from russia.
