Nightwish dont dissapoint "did you feel the ghost energy song"
I listened to this song many many times by now, and it is one i like to listen to with my headphones or without, its really a good song, when i can do so to me. Some say Floors voice is low in the mix, and i can agree its hard to get all words she sing, but if you look at it soundwise it sounds amazing!! and after a listen or 2, you know most of lyrics, and its no problem at all, its done fully on purpose for the sound experince of it, and like shes part of the ancestor choir.. cant wait for rest of album!!
Yesterwynde is the opening track on new album, i belive its only like a intro, its a little over 2 min long, #2 on album then is a almost 10 min song, thats proberly another epic!! #3 is where i think they bring in a heavy track, and this Perfume of the timeless is #5.. so i think its gonna be a good mix of heavy songs, Epics, and maybe a full balled.. Perfume of the timeless, well its almonst a ghost energy song right, telling all these ancestors is perfume around in a timeless world, being around you still, also a message that your existens matters!! i feel tuomas also put in a little message that mankind could do better still, Einstein turn to ape..
The title of the album is a word made by band member Troy Donockley, which Holopainen describes as the feeling of time, history, memory, and being connected to past generation, who have "all had their lives, their ups and downs, and they don't exist anymore, except as atoms scattered all over the universe. And we're going to be in that state pretty soon as well. So that should give you something to think about."
Holopainen has described the album as being about humanism, history, and the inspiration thereof, and that outlook of the album is positive and optimistic ]

This song is a disaster. If a mix would be done properly this song could be epic to say the least.
Lovely reaction! This is a beautiful song and very catchy. It has been stuck in my head since it came out. It has everything I love about Nightwish. Thought provoking lyrics, epic music all wrapped in amazing storytelling. Noticed that the instrumental melody in the beginning foreshadows the vocal melody line Floor's sings in the verse. Since you loved the ending section with Troy singing you should checkout Tuomas, Troy, and Tuomas's wife Johanna Kurkala (she is a popular Finnish folk/pop singer) project Auri. That whole last part feels just like an Auri song to me. Auri songs to checkout include The Space Between, Desert Flower, and The Valley.
Floors singing is lower because I believe when the choir comes in you are basically hearing it like it would sound if all your ancestors were singing So in effect you would be drowned out? Incidentally you could even say you are 4 billion years old as we are here from an unbroken line..our flesh is made from our mothers so our DNA is from the start of time..

It's been over 2 weeks since the song came and 1.6+ million plays on YT alone but it's a good song and the second latest record is on the same track as this song. You sound like an American with being a bit from a country, here we usually expect that but are a citizen or can get a passport from that country or at least speak the language fluently

My family history on my mother's side was very well researched by my Aunt...to the extent of going back to the mid 1600's. One of the men was actually a General under George Washington. On my fathers side, only his grandfather's side of the family has been researched, his mom's side was mainly from Germany, so she only knew a few of her relatives.

Ah, I miss them. Of course I enjoy the albums but it was so much about the live shows for me. I’m glad they are taking time for other parts of their lives but knowing they aren’t playing together for the foreseeable future makes me so sad. My next fave, Ren, including my other faves, will likely never play Canada, so I feel like my broke disabled self will never see my fave musicians again while I still can.
As long as Nightwish at some point and time tour again, I expect they will play Canada. They have included Canada in most of their tours since 2000.
@@johnd8546 They have no current plans to tour again, at least for the next couple albums. By that time I probably won’t be able to attend shows anymore (I’m already disabled, chronically ill, and bed bound, and just get worse every year - I can barely manage them now as it is).
