We all know that we helped shoot down Iranian missiles in the first round. What's the point in this video? The title is misleading making people think we've done it again in the 2nd round a week ago or have just done it.
And you'd imagine that a ten-minute interview with Ehud Barak is a more important headline anyway, compared with a four-minute segment with Sir Michael Fallon.
Perhaps TR feels that hearing such news from British Government officials instills hope, trust and honour in it's "Commonwealth" audience and it's intention to lead to peace, given the leadership vacuum which arose...
@@WellbeingToPeace It's a bit late weeks later and after round 2 which we weren't involved in, to then report about the first round again. From reading comments on other videos it seems people keep mentioning how TR repeat clips too. Not to mention speculatory conversations like hitting nuclear targets in Iran when there's been no mention of Israel choosing to go after them. There's enough nuclear fear mongering as it is

There have been at least 5 times where they have tried to find a solution to the problem in Gaza and the rest of Israel, and that includes a 2 state solution. These are negotiations that have also involved other Arab countries in the negotiations. That made Iran and the Palestinians angry. The problem is that Iran does not want Jews to live in Israel. It is Iran that, together with a large part of the Palestinians, does not want peace with the Jews. When the Israeli military withdrew from Gaza and let the Palestinians rule over Gaza, they immediately began planning how to exterminate the Jews in Israel. They dug tunnels and procured missiles and many other weapons that they would use to attack the rest of Israel with for many, many years. So did Hezbollah. It will be completely impossible for Israel to return Gaza to the way it was before the war without Israeli soldiers in the area. It will also be completely unthinkable to let Hamas come back again, or any similar organization in the future. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT. There will be no peace in Israel until Hezbollah is pushed back and the problem with Iran is resolved by force.. The sooner the better.
Palestinians do *not* want a "two-state" solution, and they have rejected at least half a dozen such proposals over decades. They want a single state solution "from the river to the sea."
What part of that is not understood by people? The problem is *intractable* .

Even American aircraft cannot shoot down the ballistic missiles though.. apparently. You need naval or ground assets for that job.

During Iran's second missile strike on Israel, they used Ballistic Missiles. The elephant in the room is the fact that the RAF and RN do not have the capability to intercept these much faster missiles. Indeed, most of these missiles made it through Israeli and American defences and struck their targets. How do we expect to protect our own assets in Cyprus and elsewhere???
This is the result of years of cutbacks on defence by successive governments. In military planning the words "Expeditionary Force" is used frequently, as our forces are so diminished. A word of caution. It was the ill equipped British Expeditionary Force (BEF), that was rescued from the beaches of Dunkirk.

Mr Barak is a highly conversational figure and regarded as Israel's most incompetent PM of all times. He's associated with the most radical left, self destructive elements in the country. He's responsible for much of the internal social divide during the year prior to 7.10 and has publicly called for reservists to refuse recruitment in case a military conflict erupts. In many ways he himself is responsible for facilitating a perception of weakness, which the country's enemies saw as an opportune moment to attack.
Yet he's now going on international media expressing a position even further to the right of the current government.
Why? Because the past month or so Netanyahu's incredibly successful military strategy has proven itself.
