But how will you convince your interview panel that you will do research without funding...that's not possible....after phd what you will do is not important in your interview...I hope it's making sense...so first qualify JRF or get some scholarship ...then apply for PhD.

confidence has nothing to do with speaking english....or any other language...confidence comes from self belief that its okay if you make mistake while speaking....so dont bother about judgements of people...keep learning and improving...speak as much as possible...best wishes :)
@@TheGeoecologist thanks sir, but I always think that what people will think about me, in my last viva I get panic and forget English, and I continued it with Hindi, this was very embracing for me I loss my confidence, now next wk I have to face panel for take admission in University, but I m very nervous I don't want to attend this meeting

Don't do research if you don't have funding option....it will be waste of time and resources.
