@@olliecoke traditionally, anime is colored while manga is black-and-white
so technically I’m neither when it comes to rendering but it’s more of an anime face shape. Also yes, I dabble in animation so it does count as anime.
not an anime illustrator but I feel you 😭I work more with lines than areas and I try and try to do this but it never works because my brain is so set on lines

She’s beautiful! Its also incredible how the white shine details on the eye and on the lips/nose do so much for the illustration with such a small detail
these types of videos make me feel like i’m just hanging out with a sister. i don’t have relationships with my sisters because they are significantly older than me so any time i get a feeling like this i feel so warm and fuzzy. i’ve always wanted sisters closer to my age ❤

This is the beauty of digital art where you don't have to completely abandon the traditional style. Your not obligated to use layers and if you do use it as minimal as possible. Plus you have the added benefit of never ever running out of a certain color and you can print your art any size you like with any type of paper.

I feel the same. Watching a person in action is going to be a new form of sport. Check out Portrait Artist of the Year which I could see this artist winning. It's exhausting to make art for an audience and now it's going to pay off even more, in my opinion :)
