NARC was a turning point for video games. It depicted graphic violence with realistic graphics. It was an awesome game. I played it on the NES before I found out it was an arcade game. It was so fun. The arcade cabinet looks great!
Glad you like them, I hope all is well bud, hows the Space Invaders? I think I forgot to tell you but I believe there's a UV bulb that needs to be in the back. I think it currently has a standard Fluorescent Tube.
This game is hilarious. Literal dudes in trench coats shooting hypodermic needles filled with "drugs" at you. Considering the age, that unit looks like its in pretty good shape. Good find.
Dude... this is the cleanest... literally cleanest cab I ever seen! There's not much dust in this and the artwork is in emaculate condition for its age!
Thanks man, I was shocked when it came. I’m like, wow, this things is in really great shape! Thanks for watching I hope all is well and business is good. 🙏🏼
You’re bringing back happy memories of the eighties and early nineties. You’ve just got another subscriber. Big up yourself from the northwest of the UK
Congrats again, Ralph! You're knocking it out of the park! I played this one at a Little Caesars Family Fun Pizzeria that used to be an pre-crash era Chuck 'E Cheese.
Thanks man, I'm having a rather good end of the year for Arcade Pickups... I wonder what else might pop up before the year is out. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment.
NARC is not only an awesome arcade game, but an important piece of history also! IIRC this was the first 32-bit arcade unit, and I've always loved the quirkyness of this pioneering hardware- even the small things like the (seemingly) random noises you hear when powering it on are very interesting to me.
Now I get it why you want NARC... that looks like a fun game. Awesome overview of the cabinet and yeah... crazy PCB in this machine 😨 Still.. i know you are CRT and want to keep it original ... that LCD doesn't look bad at all 🤪 Beside that missing bazel... that would be the finishing touch 👌
My dude!!!!! What's up wicked man, cool new avatar, I like it! I need to figure out a bezel for the LCD ASAP. Just something to make it look nice till I hunt down a CRT. Miss you bud!

The LCD actually looks pretty good on that game. This is one that was just about a year before my time in arcades but I've been meaning to dive in and play it. The holy grail pick ups are always nice! Killer Instinct is mine, of course. Without sounding too much like Leia: Help me Retro Ralph, you're my only hope! hahaha Congratulations on this one!
You gotta play it man, it’s a great game! It’s also hard AF , can’t wait till you get to the final boss Mr. Big, you’re going to be like WTF! I’m going away on a trip this week but hopefully in the next 2 weeks I can wrap up KI. 👊🏼
@@RetroRalph I’m really intrigued now lol. I’m going to add try the game this week. I did play it once at an arcade in Houston but I think the controls weren’t working properly. Enjoy your trip!

nice pickup ralph.i only played it a few times in the arcade because their was always a long wait to play it.for me my holy grail games are cloak & dagger along with tapper but i wouldn't mind the congo bongo that was shown earlier in this video
As a child I remember playing this game with a friend at the arcade. I don't know if it was a bug, or just the impressive physics in this game, but we accidentally triggered an event that we were never able to replicate. Some combination of rockets/explosives launched my character straight up off the screen. After a few seconds of no respawn or game over we figured it was some kind of glitch. We watched for a while longer, then after about 30 full seconds we started to see a shadow form on the ground where my character got launched. After another 10 seconds or so of the shadow slowly growing larger, my character finally returned to earth. Quite the explosion.
Thanks "Roundhouse" ;-) I moved it into the house all by myself, you should be proud of me. My back hates me but it's inside so that's all that matters... haha. Thanks for watching my friend!

That game was in the TMNT movie
proud of you StringerFilms... it's like you roll out of bed and find impossible to acquire arcade cabinets. lol
Congratulations dude! Great game. Definitely agree with it feeling like a "bad for you" game in the day.
Thanks for the visit
Awesome cabinet Ralph. Regarding the Monitor I don't know about availability in the USA, but in Europe and Asia a few years ago there where still 19" CRT tri-sync monitors to be found and places where there was some old new stock even.
Oh dang, that would be awesome. For some reason they’re next to impossible to find here. 😞
Awesome video! I do not have youthful nostalgia as I never played it when I was younger but a few years ago my girlfriend and I went on our first date at a barcade and the first game we played together was NARC. So I do have a type of nostalgic connection to it but as an adult! It’s definitely off the wall but that’s obviously the charm of it lol I play it any time I come across a cab🍻
NARC!!! hahah WOW ! Good stuff Man.
