They teach us how to measure the RAP using ultrasound as a reliable way to judge the volume status, but when you insert a triple lumen and measure the RAP directly they tell you that is rubbish

Its not a realibale way to assess volume status. It is a way to measure fluid tolerance.
Just because their heart can tolerate *more* fluid does not mean they are hypovolaemic.
