18:30 - Back in the late 90s, my buddies and I left a 12-pack with one of the hot dog guys outside of Yankee Stadium. We figured we weren't going to see it again and went to enjoy the game. On our way out after the game, he waved us down to give it all back to us. He kept it in his cooler and didn't ask for anything in exchange. The days of our high-trust society are long gone.
Former corporate/charter jet pilot here. I don't know how much a first class ticket is L.A. to N.Y.C. and back is, but a private jet like a G4 is about $7,000 per hour x 12 hours. If you're staying over, it's 4 hours per day minimum plus crew expenses. There are a lot of airline flights every day. It's all about Benjamin's.
Here in Oregon they pump your gas, unless it’s on weekends in a small town, then you can pump it yourself. Actually, as an elderly disabled person, not having to pump. Gas is quite wonderful. Back in California they said they would allow one gas pump employee to remain, but that disappeared quickly. So now if you’re elderly or disabled and you live in California, you have to find a passerby who’s kind enough to pump your gas for you.
So I'm an airline pilot, you have a massive hole in your charge by weight theory that you probably aren't aware of. I also know you don't read the comments so this is for the comment section folk. Airlines pretty much always fly at max weight now. The reason for that is at some point mail carriers realized that passenger planes had a ton of open cargo space on board that they could use. So now the airlines sell that cargo space to the mail carriers to make more money. So at the end of the day, the weight per customer doesn't mean anything because they are always going to top the plane off with as much mail as possible. And they assume 170lbs per female passenger and 190lbs per male passenger with bags. I'm cool with the idea that if you weight close to double the average, you should have to buy two tickets. Hell, you can even have the extra seat. If your 600lbs, you buy three tickets. Fuck peoples feelings already.
The original Zenith remote control was comprised of four tuning forks of different frequencies. Each frequency controlled a different function. It was completely mechanical. No batteries required.
Lol, the "Thank you for having your ID out," and then everyone getting their IDs out reminds me of a good friend of mine in Korea (Korean dude I hung out with and taught English). One day, we were in a massive subway station, and he goes, "On my cue, start running," and we were at the front of aa huge crowd, hundreds of people, and we just started running, and they all followed, haha. Get to the platform, boy, they were surprised there was no train, haha, but we knew.
So glad you said this about Stucco. I despise it! I have installed it, inspected it, and had been physically harmed by it as did everyone I knew, like it was just the way life was, as I lived in San Diego for 30 years, all stucco every house. Skating back in the day in SD you hit a stucco wall, over, you hit a normal block wall or any other siding, yeah it hurts but doesn't shred your skin like a cheese grater. Now in Texas, just vinyl, maybe some brick and stone.
I remember the sound remotes. My grandparents had an old set with that. It might be a false memory but I swear I learned how to make the noise with my mouth and change the channel.
He got evacuated out of his house due too fire the day before he left to New York so he got set back..today he's back from New York hopefully he will be back on schedule.
That bit of wisdom that Lowe’s will constantly accuse others of lying ; so true. Have a crazy woman accusing me of lying about this and about that and saying stuff like “it’s a FACT that you x y z” and “I KNOW you’re lying”. It’s not a fact and she couldn’t know because she’s wrong . I was wondering who could accuse someone of these egregious things or how she would even think of this possibility and realized “oh. That’s what SHE would do in this situation.” I don’t lie so I don’t suspect someone of lying unless there’s a reason to think otherwise
Had a remote like this when I was a kid. If my Dad shook his keys then the TV would go crazy. The channels would change or the TV would go off. I think these old remotes are the origin of the slang work "clicker".
Charging different prices for different people’s luggage is the one thing I actually agree with the air lines. If they say bag limit is 40lbs….someone whose bag is 42lbs shouldn’t pay the same as someone who has a 56lb bag. Someone 2 pounds over the limit shouldn’t pay the same penalty as someone who’s double the limit.
On the wasted food note, if you're rich like Adam, lol, just find a homeless person. I used to walk by MSG several days a week. There are plenty there who'd eat your leftovers with absolute glee.
RE the electric (static) shock: we had this in Beijing in winter. If you touch the wall first with your hand, then touch the button, it's fine. Touching the wall grounds the spark. Also: do you know how long it takes a cow or a sheep or a horse to learn about an electric fence? A: once. Then they NEVER touch the fence again. So... smarter than humans?...
I was the only passenger on a 20 seater once I was made to feel first class and got to go into the cabin until we hit a storm and myself and both of the crew members were made to go sit in the back seats Terrifying as hell Then when we landed they unloaded my 100+lb bag and the guy looked at me and said "I don't know how this got by, but you may have saved our lives" I know exactly how it got by Before boarding the flight was delayed for 30 mins and I overheard them saying they did not have enough weight
Adam, do the RIGHT THING and hire Mayhem officially! What's this crap you're up to these days?! The old Adam I remember from Loveline would never put up with this stuff. Get it together man!
He got rid of Gina and Bald Brian because he’s broke. His ex wife sucked him dry. Poor bastard had to sell his house, a few classic cars and move into a condo.
I think Adam has been out of the building industry for too long. Look up dryvit. Stucco is concrete based and use a lot because it cheap . Dryvit is acrylic based …. It’s like caulking with sand in it for texture .
CHANGE THE RELEASE TIMES BACK. Most of your other pods literally do not come up in RUclips btw. No idea why but I have to be subscribed to see any of your content. Like all of it. I never get any others literally at all ever on my yt feed and I’m clearly a daily listener. Very sketchy.
I have a friend who can sound like a genius on any topic I do not know It's like he knows all the words to make BS sound like fact Often someone who actually knows the subject comes along and says to me "You know he's full of shit right?" Then I just nod my head and say "Yeah I know, I just didn't think it was worth arguing" When the truth is he says it so confidently my ignorant ass has no clue!
Release the whole pod in the morning!! Like you always did. Nobody gives a shit about the "news" (love mayhem though) but you want the extra clicks i get it. Longer live reads and more commercials are crazy as well but damn cmon guys.
Guest decision adaptation iterative process is formalized By th OODA loop (vietnam era pilot/Colonel ). Observe, orient, decide, act... repeat as necessary. The letter from the mom is probably cause she's on the spectrum. I say this cause it could have been a letter I might have written. It's not courage, it's a need to understood, ie context for all things to avoid ambiguity and to more fundamentally not be accidentally misunderstood.
You need a new person to read your news, this mayhem is a dummy and constantly laughing at shit with his annoying laugh and reads like a middle school kid.
Love the pod but stop putting the 30 minute cut on first. Thats all I watch and its not enough.
why they don't understand this I will never know...I am assuming most ppl do the same.
Yes! I’d rather have a 15-30 second teaser than the 30 minute clip before the whole episode.
Y’all are some odd drugs not one of you made any sense .
And yes I intentionally made that as incoherent as what y’all typed but I’m not sure I can reach that level .
Adam and Sam need to do this podcast together permanently really good balance 👍👍👍
Tripoli & Mayhem are my absolute faves on here

I also prefer to have a tv on, even if I'm not paying attention to it! I used to just leave it on to fall asleep to in the bedroom too.🤷♀️
ADAM with Sam and Mayhem is a great TRIO. 😅😂😊 Thanks for the entertainment...
The more MM is on here the less I have watched

I don't see the hole. I save money because I weigh less and the airline sells the excess to mail carriers. Where is the hole?
If they weighed everyone, they could get rid of the assumed weight and save skinny people money or give them more baggage.
Adam, Sam, and Mayhem. Let's get it on!
Got no choice but to GET IT ON!
@@steakeater4018 There's actually a mandate.

In case anyone was wondering, this Broussard guy has a fiancée
Are you sure? He never mentioned it! 🤣🤣🤣
Are you fantasizing about him, or what?
Naw, dawg, you don't get to shill for Morgan & Morgan AND criticize personal injury attorneys.

The problem with the static experiment is that some people enjoy the shock.

You can tell Adam hasn't booked his own travel for decades...Delta charges for seat selection, typically around $15 or more per flight.
