Factually incorrect. For over 50s it needs to be reissued when 'acquiring a new passport after completing 50 years of age’. So if you have a passport issued at age 49 then OCI will not need to be reissued until you get your next passport at age 59 (unless you lose a passport etc and its reissued before you are 59)
😢think procedure must be made more convenient after 20 and 50 bcoz reissue is matter of 5 weeks
Hi, I got my new passport and I updated that new passport number on OCI website.
I got an email saying "ur OCI card details are updated". But they haven't mentioned my new passport number in that acknowledgement receipt.
Is that receipt acceptable at airport when we travel abroad? Plz advise
they never mention new passport number in email so don’t worry , Eyes I recently updated my husband OCI card with his new passport and I received same email and he already travel abroad so when you travel keep your old passport with you

madam i could not get that , i got my oci on age of 16 years old and at age of 24 i got new passport issued , so in that case shall i renew my oci card or apply only for updating ??? can you help
after age of 20 when new passport issued renew Oci card because of facial appearance changes
