    Soy de Peru tengo uno que rescate de la casa de mis padres bastante deteriorados, mis hermanas pensaban desecharlo, pero ya los tengo. Lo rescate con un amplificador Sansui AU-GX99. Los voy a dejar operativo.

    Didn't realize, how rare these are!! My neighbor recently passed away, and got first dibs on anything in the home as he was the last of his family. I found a set of these in the basement!! Unfortunately, one of the mid range speakers has been replace with a MTX 2000 car audio speaker, bummer. Haven't hooked them up yet as I also snagged an AKAI PS200M amp and am AKAI PS200C pre amp, which need a little restoration and severe cleaning done. Cant wait to test these out!!

    Why would anyone say anything by Sansui doesn't sound great? These were the highest quality 40 years ago, and they still hold up today because they were built like tanks. No one can understand or appreciate Sansui until you've experienced it in person. It follows the whole, _Once I was blind, but now I see_ scenario.

    I was lucky, I bought a storage locker 2 years ago that had almost brand new complete system Sansui G-33000 and the Speakers SP-X11000 in its original packages that has been in storage for over 30 years, together with over 2000 vinyl records. I dont think I will be able to enjoy the system, My wife and I just had a baby who is just a year old. Great video Enjoy your system.

    I have two 11000 and two 9700 and they are awesome....they compliment my Sansui 9700 Receiver real well. Unfortunately I can only have two of the speakers on at a time due them being in close proximity to each other.

    Love Sansui gear. They, and Onkyo, had some of the best vintage equipment made, back in the 70s. I have a Pioneer SX-1280, which is 185 wpc, and my Sansui 9090db, at 125 wpc, easily competes with it. I actually prefer the Sansui over the beastly Pioneer, but the SX-1280 definitely wins in the looks category. Would love to own a pair of these speakers. Been looking for a few years now, just not around in my neck of the woods.

    Hey, I recently inherited two. Mine are not as clean as yours. Do you happen to know the frequency response on these? I have loved these speakers since I first heard them and I am looking for an amplifier worthy enough for these speakers. My current stereo amp doesn't allow me to control the individual frequency on the channels when I run it in anything but direct which is great for music but not movies. The stereo robs the full range from the front speakers when it runs surround. Let me know if you have any info on these. Thanks

    Nice video, cell phone microphone aside. I will have to post up a video of some different speakers when I get the chance, for comparison's sake. I am picking up a pair of these, one of which has a damaged 17". I do not want to gut my other Sansui speakers for the woofer, but if you had one extra left...

  • @carygill2053
    @carygill2053 10 лет назад +1

    Hey there ... I just stumbled across your video on RUclips . You still happen to have one of the 17s for sale on your spare 11000 ? If so what kind of condition is it in. I picked up a pristine set of these about nine years ago from a local guy in San Diego who only use them for a few times in the late 70's , put them back in their original boxes with the packing material and put them in the attic until 2005 when I was lucky enough to get them. You're right about their sound and how they are generally perceived . It's like apples and oranges when comparing them to most JBLs of the era . The speakers are made to sound how they look big ,... Giving my G 22000 something to work hard 4. King of the Kabuki loudspeakers no doubt
