I m French. I already need to work till 70 years. And i worked during all my i studies. And I had some sickeness and unemployement. But I started to work full time at 17 yo. Then i alternate part- time and full time during my studies for 8 years. Mainly full time, just a month a year part-time to be able to pass my exams. I got two masters. Which didn't protect me of unemployment, sickness and misery. All the part-time doesn't count in my retirement pensions. Same goes for unemployed period, sick-leave, parental leave, studies, etc... And that is without the new reform. If it goes on, i'll die at work. And a huge part of low wage worker dies before retirement age. A quart of them. That means that pension of dead low wage worker are financing the pension of superior classes that lives a lot older. And that is the situation before the Macron's reforme that want to add two years, and delete some criteria of hard labor that were before taken in consideration. It s a criminal law that gonna make the citizens die at work. When we are the one paying the most taxes and cotisations in the whole OCDE.
I honestly love the optimism that we will even make it far enough in the future for this to even matter. At the moment, we would be lucky to make it another few years before complete societal breakdown on total world war.. Pick your poison at this point...

I'm Asian and I really admire French people. In my exprience, French studens in my school were not insecure and greedy like students in my coutry. It's very impressive people are helping each other against the power, rather than sabotaging and exploiting each other to become one of them.
