The 2005 movie was really slick, fast paced, and fun without interrogating the reality of their situation. This series is more sober and realistic but still epic, tender, and gritty, and that’s what makes it worth watching for me. It balances escapism with moments that make me think about my goals and relationships.

Man the crew and filmmakers of this show and Atlanta have such a unique way and style of their cinematography. It’s so real at times then others so surreal.
Is it just me or do these two look and feel better, then the original. I can’t explain why, but it’s just feels good to me.

Awesome tribute video! I loved this show, absolutely brilliant! Whereas the 2005 film was driven by star power, this one has brilliant writing, incredible world building, amazing character development and more while somehow being more cinematic than the 2005 film. Anyone calling this “woke” or “trash” without even watching it are really telling on themselves. This Mr & Mrs Smith is already one of my favorite shows of the year. I hope it gets a second season!
Enjoyed the series, binge watched it in one evening. Great chemistry between Glover and Erskine. Glover is incredibly charming and Erskine is cute as heck yet guarded. Hope there is a season Two.

I loved this series. In fact, I preferred it to the Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie version. It's more human, less Hollywood, in its portrayal of relationship development and subsequent marital troubles. The chemistry between Gonald Glover and Maya Erskin was electric. I really fell in love with their relationship. The ending, although open, broke my heart.

Gosh man everyone complaining about race swapping and this and that but this show was truly beautiful. Funny comedy mix with drama. It mainly a show about a love story. They were adorable together and had so much chemistry and realism and just relatable. I don’t get why race is so important. Why should spies only be white like the movie. In real life spies come from different ethnicities. I myself am conservative but don’t see why race is important to the the Mr and Mrs smith story. All that matters is if the actors are good. Imagine putting shitty white actors or shitty any other race actors. Donald and Maya gave an amazing performance very believable

I loved this show!! It is NOT the Brad Pitt movie .This a slow character buildup, relationship development that takes you by surprise . By the last episode I was so taken by this couple that I wept , I was so moved !! Beautiful writing and its even better on the second watch!

I was extremely sceptical, you know how Hollywood usually messes up sequel, reruns and adaptations. This one surprisingly branched off well.

I know the story wouldn’t match up since they’re two different agencies in the original and they probably wouldn’t want to work together but it would have been fun to cameo Pitt and Jolie as their original characters.

I have to add something: One of my favorite scenes is when John and Jane are in bed together, and John teasingly accuses Jane of farting. Jane denies it (as women always do). LOL. If you've never had that facetious argument with your significant other, then you've never had a significant other. 🤣

This series was so good, I see so many people say it's a cliffhanger and they want a second season. Trust me, I also hate cliffhangers but this one just ended so perfectly. I really wanted them to be alive but i feel like i already know in reality, they are dead already. Also, try listening to Redbone after watching this series; it hurts so bad.
Now everytime I listen to Redbone I can see Jane and John in that panic room sitting together crying.

This series was well-made and worth seeing. Please do yourself a favor and watch it. It was a sheer sweet surprise. I hope to see some news on S2 as they left off on a major cliffhanger.

Honestly in my opinion they ruined their personalities and relationship starting with episode 4. They had great chemistry and they ruined it with the fight plot
But that’s the whole point of Mr & Mrs smith even in the movies. It’s 2 spies that fall in love then start to "hate" each other, then try and kill each other and then finally find out it’s the spy agency fucking with them and try and get away to live their life together. Like that’s the whole plot😭 the only difference was in the movie they worked for diff agencies and didn’t know

Should have just made a two hour movie, me and the wife was disappointed.
The storyline was all over the place. The fight scenes were not even close to believable, Episode1, they hard time retrieving a package but in episode 3 they're foiling a kidnapping attempt with assassins. The chemistry between them was so off and not convincing but women will eat this up. I had high hopes for the series, lacks on set technical advisors and more Indepth storyline.
Not a great replacement for Brad and Angelina.
I feel it is poor compared to the original.
I want to order this🖐️ but the guy asian & the girl is white a blonde one
