I find it interesting that all of these reports say the labor market isn't deteriorating and yet people I know have had next to no luck getting a job. There's a large amount of ghost jobs and the hoops employers make you jump through for low level positions now is ridiculous (4+ interviews, getting ghosted by recruiters, etc) Edit: for context I've noticed it's a LOT worse for white collar jobs. If I remember correctly a stat said that roughly 40% of job postings are ghost jobs now.

I'm beyond done caring about interest rates. They have zero effect on anything relevant to most people. They've dropped the interest rate a handful of times, yet mortgage rates are going up or staying the same and savings account interest has been steadily dropping. It's all a load of bullshit.
It affects more than most think. Lower rates stimulate corporate growth, stocks, and stimulate consumer spending which in turn helps the economy flourish. But in general if you’re comfortable and not planning any large purchases in the near future then it’s not worth stressing about unless you are extremely spread thin on your budget.
On purpose or not, we live the age of information at your fingertips. The masses ain’t flipping out right now because one, they either don’t care or two aren’t bright enough to do little research on their own and finding that information.
