Oh wow and more wow.... What a wonderful video of rural/extreme remote Mongolia !! That dog sledding is scary but truly an amazing experience. Great to be invited by a Mongolian nomad family and trying the food served. Interesting to see how they live with nature. The landscape is amazingly beautiful. Well, Ken, all in all, this's a peak experience for you. What an excellent videography !! Thank you very much for taking me/us along on this amazing next level adventure/journey.

The sledge did seem rather different though...
I only did very little dog-sledge travel in my life, but, it did not seem to have any of the controls I know (the Sledge I was on belonged to a cousin who lived in a sort of place where that was the norm... it had a smaller pack, but also a sort of guide stick you would use to control where your skis were pointing in relation to the dogs... dogs are clever, they will usually note what you are doing and adjust their course to suit you... I wonder if you use two side brakes here to do thesame, or just by shifting your weight? we did not get much of a view of the system but I would have been confused I think)

    Dear Ken
You make this 75yr old grandma’s dreams come true by spending time in Mongolia in the cold and a gorgeous white snow. And visiting locals, eating their homemade delicious food and appreciating their lifestyle, bringing a little income to their hard earned work, these are absolutely icing on the cake videos for me to enjoy and many. Personally I’d rather live in a Snow White country, coming from and growing up in Quebec Canada, it’s my favourite weather. The fresh smell of snow and the whiteness at night are delightful and peaceful to me. Bravo for your exploration videos around the world. ❤ and many thanks. Happy new year to you and good health and happiness Ken. 🎉

I am a Mongolian citizen. I live in the capital city. The western part is even colder than the capital. The temperature there fluctuates between -40 and -50 degrees Celsius. We have a big problem with air pollution, but the countryside is more beautiful in winter. It is very difficult to live in the countryside. That is why our testosterone levels are so high. This can also be explained by our meat consumption.

Wow, what a great video. What an honor to be invited into that family’s home. Those are really tough people to live in that environment. It’s so beautiful though. In that temperature though, don’t start unzipping your coat and taking off your gloves. Frostbite is real and you may be sweating and think you’re okay but that’s not really the case. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed your trip to Mongolia. What a beautiful country and absolutely wonderful people. ❤️

You really should consider making a member channel for the real juice of behind the scene. I really would like going there to this remote places but one time when I visited some city in China, it’s not like a remote place at all, but the restroom stall… I couldn’t use the restroom. I didn’t use it the whole half day. It wasn’t nice… 😢 so how was it like when you sleep? How’s the time in between when you are not doing activities? Was it like boring or scary at night etc… wild animal attack? Haha for me I got intense scared when someone rang my door bell at the hotel which just happened yesterday lol 😂😂

You're so brave touching those dogs (not the sled dogs). If you go deeper into wilderness, domestic dogs angry and aggressive enough to fight several wolves alone to defend the livestock.

I imagine they are working dogs guarding the livestock from wolves.

@@deanzaZZR Yeah but they're quite tame. Dogs are so aggressive that they would scare off the horse so there is tradition where a visitor says "hold your dog" as a greeting.
