    Today, Serbia is the only country of the former Yugoslavia, besides Macedonia, which is still multinational. On the other hand, in all countries that NATO took into protectorate (Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo), almost complete ethnic cleansing was carried out.
    Germany's goal was to break up Yugoslavia into smaller states that it could easily dominate, thereby controlling the Balkans. It needed an economic zone to which it could export German products and whose market it could dominate.

    • @contekozlovski
      @contekozlovski 8 месяцев назад +4

      Doesn't make sense. Yugoslavia was poor and with small population and was willing to buy German products. No need to destroy it. That's just a dumb theory propagated by mentally ill communists and serbian nationalists.
      The ethnic cleansing was started systematically by the serbs during the summer of 1991 in croatia.
      Serbia is less multiethnic today even though there were no wars on its territory apart from kosovo. Vojvodina minorities didn't rebel against Belgrade.

      classic rusky mir projection. "they are nzsi, not us" "they do ethnic cleansing, not us". If Serbia was interested to learn, would have known that in europe everything now is mixed, everyone is going and do whatever. But imperialist kleptocrats serbs, under russian influence, see this as a feudal game of thrones thing.

    Exactly as Ivana says, there was no "logical" reason in western thinking, but they never understood the differing Balkan mentalities. I think Slobodan Milosevic, like many Serbian elites, saw Jugoslavija as "Velika Srbija", once Tito was gone in 1980, this was inevitable. The hilarious thing is ,Tito got the last laugh from the grave - he split Kosovo and Vojvodina from Serbia into autonomous regions to weaken the largest pro-Russian republic (Tito broke with Stalin in 1948 & left the Soviet Bloc). Well Milosevic wanted "Velika Srbija" but due to Tito's splitting off the autonomous parts, all Milosevic got was "Mala Srbija" when he lost Kosovo - Tito strikes from the grave! Tito 1 - Milosevic 0, haha. But also Jugoslavija was very different than the Soviet Bloc, you could travel freely, own a small or even maybe medium business and the farms mostly remained private, there was no "Sovkhoz" or "Kolkhoz" collective farms, etc

    • @irongron
      @irongron 8 месяцев назад

      @@angelina6543 Well, that's debatable. Republika Srpska, strictly speaking is not part of Srbija. Srpska has a different meaning. My fathers family are all from Bosanski Novi (renamed to "Novi Grad") in "Republika Srpska". They were all ethnically cleansed from Bosanski Novi by Arkan & Mladic, they are all over the world in Australia, Canada & the USA while my mother's (Serbian) side of the family live comfortable in Beograd like they always have. Anyway, Milosevic had no reason to wreck Jugoslavija but he did. Just because he wanted Srbski Mir & his Velikia Srbija.

      Which is the right side?
      America and NATO, knowing that the EU is governed by America?
      The Washington Post wrote that since September 11, 2001, 4.5 million people have died in America from the invasion of American forces.
      Oliver Stone explained US policy in two minutes: We invaded more than 100 countries under the pretext of "just wars"

      @VajrahahaShunyata 8 месяцев назад

      They don't blend well..
      They force change to what they want and are not team players with minimal exceptions.
      Alliances require compromise and the koran is pretty specific.
      Maybe someday this might change but it hasn't happened yet.
      Sweden, Germany, France all took in refugees and now have regions in their own countries that no longer are governed by the national laws and have a sharia varient of law being forced upon the citizens who took them in.
      So it starts to look like an invasion is slipping in with the refugees.
      Look at what happened to Lebanon when they opened up to refugees from Palestine.
      We can accept muslims.
      We have accepted more Muslim people n refugees than the muslim nations have.
      The question is can they accept our cultural differences.
      Statistical analysis and data says otherwise. Its a problem and its already creating a right wing push in European elections to deal with it. They have not been the "live and let live" types.
      I managed businesses in Switzerland and have employed many. The moderates are a minority. Perhaps with time ?
      Its destabilizing and expensive in the moment. And this is a problem that has put the brakes on more forward movement.
      And some are passing laws to expedite deportations for those preaching jihad or anti semitisim
