Psyched to jazz My Thunderbird into Desert Storm Warpaint. Unreal work and the Reject Handles are Da Sheeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!! Great show, beauty Boozers.
Gr8 video. I think there's a chipmunks loose in the house. I not aloud to have planes in the house. Many years ago, my son got super glue on the dinning room table. He blame me to Mrs. She never believe that it was not me.
Wes. Hot tip: use a flexible icepack over the stickers then peel slowly. The foam damage at 5:46 is noticeable where the sticker ripped up the foam away from the section behind the cockpit latch. Apparently, the ice trick works a treat to avoid foam damage like this.
Holy smokes.....that's beautiful looking. I would be so tense flying such a detailed awesome looking bird like that after all the work that has been done to it. I would display it if it was mine and get another one and fly the pants out of that one.
being a new modeler we find means and methods hard to find, so we just stumble upon them, like this.. AND you can use minwax wipe on poly and rust-oleum oil base enamel directly on FOAM, we discovered this while painting an Arrow foam Corsair. I happened to get some oil base paints on the foam packing and realized that not only does it not dissolve the foam, it bonds very well to the foam. We even poured some paint thinner on the foam and it pooled on the foam but Did Not Dissolve the foam. The cheap paint that came on the plane peeled off with some Blue tape after I had painted over it with some latex water base paints; So now I am using poly (not water based) or oil base enamel to prime and harden foam Yes, you can coat your Foam plane with oil base poly, paint etc, resulting in a Hard structural skin.
Wow, really nice job Wesley. You took an airplane that flies great and made it look like you wanted it to look. Fantastic job on the cockpit. As a point of interest the F16 has a sidestick controller on the right side console.
Just a quick word, it is not the propellant that eats the foam, it is the solvent for the paint itself. Water based acrylic or latex paint is the way to go unless you give the foam at least 4 coats of polyurethane to protect the foam.
Gap filling primer and acrylic rattle cans...never worry about if it's going to melt the foam and get way better looking results. I like Montana Gold paints....costs a tad more per can, but you get more and it's low pressure like you would get with an airbrush.
Thanks for the video. Just wondering, when taking off the decals I find that the paint where the decal was is not the same color when repainted. What do you do to ensure that the location of where you removed the decal looks the same throughout the wing when you repaint?
Looks awesome man . im not as patient and wondering if pinstripe tape could be applied before painting and then remove tape to expose white foam or would it bleed into grooves ? Thanks
I get mine at Home Depot but motionrc actually sells it now so it’s up to you. If you get it from the hardware store you need a sandable drywall spackle
Dude!! Remarkable job!! I actually just got this jet so once im done flying it for the season and retire the sticks for winter... this is going to be my first project... do you have any videos of you doing any weathering with airbrush? Great job boozer looking forward to meeting you guys at the next Nall... happy flying friend!
You actually need to leave the pylons on the wingtips on to be scale. The Pylons are the base for the missile it can't launch direct off a wingtip. Cheers
Call me crazy, but I like the worn out effect of the rudder section. The whole airplane should be like that w black shadow fades like the real ones after many many flights.
Boozer, have you learned nothing from me bro. I will tell you just once. In one word. Liquitex. Its an acrylic paing in a rattle can. You will never use another kind of sprey paint can again. It is 100% foam safe. It is water based, however you lock it all in after with hobby coat. Or midwax. You can thank me later. Or tell me to fuck off. Both work for me. Hahaha. Love ya brother. Where is my G.D. hug. Always trying to get out of it easy. You better hope i dont see you at jet jams or nall. You will know what a Dave hug is all about. Hahaha. No warning. Keep your head on a swivel. All i can tell you. Im like a hug ninja. You might not even know it happened. Hahaha, oh shit. LOL LOL LOL. Great job on my flex jet. I will just grab it at jet jams. I will let you borrow it for now, i guess.
You watch, he is going to feel a little nudge and he is going to think. Was that Dave? Boozer, you dont even have to speculate. It was definitely me. Now if you feel the nudge and your wallets missing. Well you are most likely on the road and getting gas somewhere in New York. In that case just find the idiot that looking at you as if he is gauging your response to his talent. Pick pockets are very egotistical and have to know that there job was flawless. Or just avoid New York all together. Keep your wallet. And get one of the sneakiest fastest but fullfilling hug from your boy Dave. If its a punch to the sack. Well, Kyle is learning.

You guys are doing great work. Lori is really getting the camera 🎥 down. Love ❤️ it. I’m learning so much. Thanks Barry.💖
Way , way , !!! Better than the white original scheme. Nice outcome. The Boozer Cruiser
That looks great. I really like the cockpit.
Great job guys ,I like to use packing tape to remove stickers as well, works great.
Very nice work!! Great ideas as well
Pretty cool for a foam jet for sure👍
Nice job! It’ll be practically invisible to the enemy and the pilot!
Lol 😂

Another tip, Microset and microsol works really good for applying stickers on a foam aircraft.
New to this hobby. I just wanted to thank you for your video. So far I have not seen this anywhere. You taught lots today. Thanks again. Cheers!
Nice work,thanks for sharing!
Guys you really out did yourself! this is an awesome looking jet
I highly recommend paint markers for tracing lines like that It's a cinch
Fantastic, absolutely fantastic.
Glad you enjoyed it

Haha well I don’t have hanger queens but I also I have three flex jets to pick from right now getting ready for another repaint soon!

It actually has one but I decided I wanted the center stick lol also f-16s don’t have a flux capacitor but mine dose lol
Kinda looks lika a KAI FA-50
And yes I’m all in on the fun factor of the build

Nice job 👍🏽 it looks great!
Good job Wesley!
I found CA glue accelerator is the best to peel decals off the foamy. It doesnt damage the foamy and the paint. And soften the decal glue
I've got a flex jet coming from DAVES RC it's getting a custom scheme. Nice job wes 😉👍👍✌
Makes me want one now! Very cool!
Do it you won’t be disappointed

Great job man. That was a good modelers video. Keep up the good work.
I like the the tip for heating the stickers.
Thanks for the great video!
Great Video 👍
Kit bashing a foamy is a good idea. I would like to see one painted like a small plastic model.
Nice camera work Lori.
Nice job
You totally help me out with painting my EC 1500 to change it to the c27 --- Thanks
Sweet!!!
@@MerryBoozerRC Wish i could show you a pic
@@MerryBoozerRC Just ordered the OV-10 --- Any thoughts on it
You can on Facebook or Instagram
Looks fantastic haven’t flown it yet. But I to ordered it
How much white vallejo paint did it take in ml? I am planning on painting my MiG-29 from Freewing wit Mr. Color paints, and airbrush them.
Nice job. Going Blue Angles when I get mine.
That will be sweet be sure to share your results with us!
BAD ASS!

It would probably work but I have nothing but time so I wanted to do it this way
Very nice idea, awesome job. Where can I get the putty for foam filling please?.
I get mine at Home Depot but motionrc actually sells it now so it’s up to you. If you get it from the hardware store you need a sandable drywall spackle

Lots of videos of airbrushing actually there’s a playlist on the channel just for repainting planes 😉
Nice
How much did the cockpit update add to the jet? How did it effect the CG?
Actually didn’t add much weight it’s a foam pilot and interment panel I don’t even feel a difference flying it
You actually need to leave the pylons on the wingtips on to be scale. The Pylons are the base for the missile it can't launch direct off a wingtip.

This jet isn't a scale model. Jus' sayin'.
is the paint your using solvent based? or waterborne?
if the plane is already painted, what stuff do you use to remove the paint before to paint it back again?
I don’t strip them just paint over it.
@@MerryBoozerRC Do you use a spraybooth? Using acrylic with water?
Call me crazy, but I like the worn out effect of the rudder section. The whole airplane should be like that w black shadow fades like the real ones after many many flights.
Great job..
You could have used pinstripe do to the lines would have given a smoother finish and less time. I've used it in the pass.
I just didn’t have any at the moment but that would have definitely worked
Did u ever have a issue with one of the elevator servos bouncing around trying to center ? If so , how did u correct it ?
I have three of these and they all do it think it’s just the servos in these
Merry Boozer RC No problems while in the air ? Is it noticeable ?
reginald washington nope

You should call it a "Flex 16".
Dude... I take these and turn them into solid resin models.
How do you do that bud?
I’m wanting to do a f18
How much weight in total did the whole makeover add?
Not much I can’t feel any difference in the air
The white line is actually a deicing wire.
You made the reference of making it look like a f-16 but the Flex Jet looks like a T-50. I see both of the real ones fly everyday.
Looked like an F-16 to me at the end of the day the flex jet is a fantasy plane so make it what you want not what anyone else want 😉
The F-16 is a side stick aircraft, but otherwise I’m going to copy that cockpit idea =p
Yea wasn’t going for accurate 😉 after all it’s a flex jet
Cockpit building can be so hard
Forgot to cover your table.
Nope just got lazy
