We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version ruclips.net/user/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.
When you tell us what to do when battery’s go flat you opened the cover so I tried to open the cover but I tried to put the cover back on it wasn’t putting it back on so do you know how to fix it
@@Chuckkkkkstar it has NFC tags which you can use to unlock the door. It’s not the same NFC standard however which is in your iPhone for example. So you can’t simply use your phone to unlock the door. I have an earlier model of the one in this video, they’re fantastic, just really want the phone nfc option.
@@James-lw3gi ohh right yeah I have this model and I just tested it yesterday and works with Android very nicely, but I know there's issues with Apple as they don't allow NFC manipulation in settings like android
NFC works fine with my note 20 plus as well as my wifes s21 ...just make sure when you register them that the screen is on ....but as stated in the documentation ..will not work with iphone
@@harleycruize7425 yep, as I alluded above, I have an iPhone. You cannot use the NFC on it with the door lock… which I’m super bummed about. I guess I should have phrased my initial comment better. I’m disappointed they weren’t able to find an NFC solution which worked for all phones.
I'm thinking of getting this door lock installed with DDL. But since this is lacking video camera on the doorbell function. I wonder if it can be integrated with Ring Video Doorbell and control the doorbell and unlocking mechanism in a single app if I have both installed?

It sounded all good but mine is the same model and it’s been in use for less than a year. I started to have trouble unlocking from inside. I changed the batteries and still didn’t work. I thought I can use the mechanical key to unlock from both the inside and outside but found that there’s no keyhole on the inside … One of my neighbour got problem with hers (same model) even sooner. She wasn’t able to claim warranty and had it replaced by a different brand at her own cost.

The main thing I wanted was NFC access via my phone. Super bummed they didn’t include it

Just open battery cover then set it to manual after doing this go inside then press double lock button then pull to exit

It’s very complicated! Finger prints doesn’t work . Pin code doesn’t work! Outside is nightmare you can’t go inside the house
