Hello Miwa San,
Thank you for this video.
I have a very strange habit, but it helps me keep my mental health a bit more balanced .
Every morning, after preparing coffee for my husband , before breakfast, while sipping an infusion, I knit for an hour or an houra and half . A gentle way to get my brain to " get in gear " and focus for the day ahead.
In the evenings, when getting ready for bed, I like to take time to clean my face and neck with rose , witch-hazel or cornflower water. Lovely smells and a very nice way to wind down after the day, preparing for the night .
Best regards to you and your family .
@@louverousse9023 oh wow! That's a very beautiful habit😍✨✨✨I can picture you doing it and makes me calm somehow❤️
For the past 6 months, I've been having a hot latte in the morning, with 3 grams (in total) of powdered, properly-extracted medicinal mushroom powder in it. Currently I'm taking reishi, cordyceps and lion's mane, and a blend which also includes turkey tail, maitake and chaga. All the mushrooms are beneficial in a number of ways, with some overlap, but I started with lion's mane because I'd heard it was good for cognitive function (specifically memory and focus), and I definitely noticed a difference pretty much right away. Since then I've had others tell me that I seemed more bright, and I've gone back to using big words, instead of struggling to remember the words I was trying to say (which was pretty scary actually). I always have a scoop of lion's mane and a scoop of the blend, but I'm trying out different kinds over time, to see what is best for me. I just started taking cordyceps two days ago, which is supposed to be good for energy, and helping to balance your immune system.
There is finally a lot of money being allocated to studying medicinal mushrooms, and there have been some very fascinating discoveries so far, like the adaptogens in some mushrooms and how they literally bring your body back in a state of balance (homeostasis), by managing physical and mental stressors. Basically, they seem to target something that isn't working how it's supposed to, and try to fix it. From the Cleveland Clinic website: "...if you’re stressed (elevated cortisol), an adaptogen will respond by reducing cortisol levels. If you experience chronic fatigue with low cortisol levels, an adaptogen will increase the level of cortisol in your body." HOW FASCINATING IS THAT??!!
@@MiwasJapaneseCooking OH Thank you Miwa San ! I have a special place in my husbands room with many pillows, near the window. I I have a very weak back and suffer chronic pain, sitting that way permits me to sit with him for at least 3-4 hours and we chat, growl at each other( like many couples ^^) and simply enjoy some time together .
A gentle hug flying your way, have a wonderful day .
Your consistency to good, healthy food, daily stretching, and generally active life style just goes to show that many of us do not need intense workouts to have a healthy, fit life.
Thank you for your kind words Amber! I wish I could exercise more though. It just makes me feel better, but my body just can't keep up with intense workout... haha
This video was super relaxing to watch, thank you for sharing it! Stretching is super good for your health and especially for bone health as our body gets older! It’s so nice you take time out for yourself even though you focus on work and on your kids 🤍🤍
Thank you for your kind words Divine Dia! Yes, I've been realizing the importance of stretching as I age! and it's very sustainable ^^
I needed your video for encouragement through my cancer treatment. I adore your videos and hearing about your family and traditions. I have learned so much and enjoy you fully. Thank you, my dear friend.
Melissa, I know how hard it is to go through the cancer treatment as I saw my dad go through it. I'm glad to hear that my contents are helping you a bit. Take care...
What a great video
I love this video of yours. So calming and helpful!
Going for long walks, for over an hour, several times per week helps me stay positive, control my weight, and enjoy nature 💚
Sad topic ahead!:
I prioritize brain and heart health even if I’m only 20 years old. Since I have ADHD, I’m more likely to have a premature death so it’s most important to keep my brain healthy as ADHD affects the brain and on top of that I have a heart murmur bc of a heart defect I have and those get worse as you age. So… I not only prioritize that, but a slow and fulfilling life bc I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be around for. I really enjoy these videos! Keep up the good work.
Another amazing video MIWA.
I'm proud I am a natural explorer which has led to being a natural worldly chef. This is my first viewing of your videos - will be checking out the recipes and other habits. You're a Rock Star!
Thank you for your kind words and welcome to this channel Lynne😊
You are glowing! And very beautiful for being in your 40s! 💕
Thank you Angie! Very sweet of you and encouraged me a lot!!

@@MiwasJapaneseCooking No worries :) hope to see your new recipes soon!! I’ve actually been experimenting with tofu recently and trying to eat it more sometimes it can be unhealthy fried so I’m trying to put it into miso soup 🤍
I always go to the gym after work so I move my body and stop myself from wasting time at home watching Netflix lol I love these videos from you, your voice is very soothing! Have you ever considered doing a podcast? :)
Hi Miwa ,i liked this video very much ,it´s full of positive affirmations and very encouraging ! to answer your question i am proud to always be sincere and true and also good and loyal friend . i think friendship is very important . I want to resume travelling , so this is on top of my list for this year and the years to come !
I totally agree!!!!! Our life would be so boring and sad if we didn't have a true friendship. Your friends are so lucky to have you.
@@MiwasJapaneseCooking thank you so much !
I ALWAYS called 8 pm and after as “MOMMA TIME”! The best time of the day and the most important time, even if just doing nothing…
I try to stick to the 80-20 rule, so stop eating when you are full 80% that helps not overeating. And a lot of variaty in my food, so not every week the same meals. I meal plan ahead so I can see what we have eaten and what to make. When I can I prep ahead but it's not really neccesary with some meals so it depends.
I'm definitely an early bird, always have been even as a child. Other then those things I never really thought about habits, I go with my feeling more.
Can you make a video with breakfast mealprep please? I need help to cook healthy, cause its difficult for me for 1 Person.
My mom told me exactly the same thing!! As you are living by yourself, it's hard to take the time to cook just for yourself.. I totally get that! I just assemble what I prepared on the weekend for breakfast. If you can search on
Wow amazing video my friend😘
Thank you so much!!
Nutrition and proper sleep are tied in the #1 spot for the most important thing in everyone's life. So many people say they don't have time to get enough sleep, but that means they're putting something else (or many something else's) before sleep. NOTHING is more important. It's not just not feeling tired during the day, sleep deficiency is the source of many chronic health issues, from high blood pressure, heart and kidney disease, to diabetes and stroke. If you don't have enough time to sleep, something must change, even if it means a major shake-up in your life. Some may be thinking something along the lines of, "Yes, but my kids do xx and will be very unhappy if they can't do it anymore", but how happy do you think your kids will be, if you're dead?
See, I have delayed sleep phase disorder so I genuinely cannot get enough sleep especially with the time I gotta get up for to go to work.
The last line really spoke to me....... Thank you for reminding me of this! I will take care of myself for them which has been mom's guilt for a long time somehow...
@@MiwasJapaneseCooking That feeling of guilt is really common with parents, particularly mothers. I've heard so many stories of mothers that ignored their health for their families, and ended up dying young. That's definitely not what their children wanted, and much more traumatic than mum taking care of herself.
Hi, I read you have two sons and I assume it is outdated now, do you have a girl now celebrating hina matsuri every year with her, with your husband with her two brothers?
