Hello! It's me again! I am so happy that 2023 will be the survival year of Suikoden. A shame that no one cares about this game though, one of the best storys ever in my gaming life. Eiyuden Chronicle- leettseeee Gooo!
Yes indeed, this game was incredible and it also felt very oldschool. I wonder how long it will last till these kind of games will be a thing from the past.
"NEW" SUIKODEN announced! A spiritual successor to Suikoden named Eiyuden Chronicle has been announced. It's being developed by Suikoden veterans including Suikoden creator Yoshitaka Murayama. The soundtrack is going to be composed by Motoi Sakuraba (Golden Sun, Dark Souls) and Michiko Naruke (Wild Arms). The kickstarter is live until 29 August 2020 and very successful (by now $3,3 million): www.kickstarter.com/projects/rabbitandbearstudios/eiyuden-chronicle-hundred-heroes/description
Whenever this song starts playing in the game, I begin to imagine I'm actually fighting as the Hero in the game, easily one of the best fighting themes I've heard!! Even if the battles were not that epic, this tune made up for it, the battle against the Archivists in Pharamond............!!!!!!!! One of the best soundtracks I've heard, also one of the best games I've played - much thanks to the music + the story!
Perhaps the most epic boss battle theme ever constructed for a handheld rpg. I like how the drums just ominously start blasting midway through the arrangement. This music really fits those boss battles against the Archivists. Pure greatness.
The storyline for this game was so incredible that I think it's kind of sad that they didn't use it for a Suikoden 6 instead. However.. I love this game! I feel that it has many Suikoden elements in it and regard it as a real Suiko. game.
Iirc this was supposed to wind up rebooting the series, which is evident in the multiple universes plot point, but because the game didn't do as well as they liked... Suikoden as a series kinda died with this entry, outside Japan.
This song is pretty impressive considering its from a handheld console. But then again one thing Konami is good for is amazing musical scores, I can't think of a game they've made where i haven't fixated on at least one song.
Thank you thank you thank you. I pick this game up on a whim and was amazed how much fun and engaing the story and music was. Bust random purchase since Grandia 2 for me.
Yes! But the story was so incredible that it didn't matter to me! To be honest: this felt to me like a Suikoden game even without those features. Amazzziing game! Need to play it again =)
For your everything, you'd sacrifice everyone's anything?!!! What kind of future do you call this?! Damn Archivists! I won't accept any future with you guys in it! We'll unleash all the mark of the stars and grind you into the dust!!! MARK OF THE STARS, DYING WISH!
This battle theme is totally awesome. I love the beginning especially. The only good the archivists are for is this music to be played when fighting them.
The game gives that much exp, because sometimes you're forced to take a certain character with you. Instead of that character slowing you down constantly, it only takes a few battles for him to catch up. Also, I often suffer from under leveled characters. This system of experience actually forces everyone who's not lifeless around a certain level, preventing the 'running in circles' phenomenon that a lot of other RPGs have.

It does include many Suikoden elements, but I wish such an incredible story + soudntrack would have been the follow up to Suikoden V instead, cause I imagine it being even more amazing that way. If they included even more Suikoden elements, and characters, although I enjoyed to finally realize more of what the Infinity actually was about! Game: 9/10 Soundtrack: 10/10
Liu can use physical and magic defense to all allies as well. But it's true that you can't use him against Sophia-sand. So I brought Asad and Hafin to deal heavy water damage (but Marica works well too).
@Cameraman2 Hmm maybe I was a bit overleveled for this, but not even Diadora's Party was able to kick my ass. I could've kicked theirs probalby if this weren't pre-determined.
or you no since all the charecters can use heal, let the back charecter have an area heal attk and that way they can attk frmo the back row (with like a spear or an axe) and that whould be so much better
Curently playing this game with a friend. I have to say it's awesome. The only thing that bothers me are the fights, that you are bound to lose. Rather annoying but the music and the story make up for it, more than enough.
If anyone know a game wich is like Tierkreis, please tell us ! I read that Suikoden 1 & 2 are great ( the 2 seems better according to the reviews), but they're old..
I know this comment is old as heck but if you care for it still Look into the legend of heroes series (mostly on PC) Trails in the sky and trails of cold steel have a ton of things like suikoden
This game is nice as an RPG, good tracks and story. But everytime I am reminded that this is a Suikoden w/o strategy battle and 1-1 fights, I'm kinda ticked off
lol i only fight evry single baattle b/c i like how they attack.,.. unlike in Final fantasy( dont' get me wrong i love FF) where they do the same attack for evry weapon
lol see the thing about this game is you have wayyy to many random encounters and + the monsters give wayyy to much exp and you lvl way to easily ;P other than that this game was pretty amazing

I'm honestly so surprised that there are still people knowing this masterpiece. I loved it dearly as my 2nd place ds game. On 1st is Radiant Historia.
nailed the top 2 @@Blue_Spirit06
I've listen this theme so many times, I'm probably 10% of all views by myself

My favourite Suikoden Theme!! I can't believe It wasn't included in the official OST!!! :O Love that crazy Xylophone ^_^
2 years ago this video didn't have so many views! =) Great to see that more people are playing it!

I always made a fiction in mind that, this order one teue way is harmonia temple faction.

When i first heard this theme, I started to think : Damn shit's about to go down, these guys won't be holding back!"
Everytime I listen to this I'm reminded of Sophia's transformation.
The anime sequences were great also.
Thank you thank you thank you. I pick this game up on a whim and was amazed how much fun and engaing the story and music was. Bust random purchase since Grandia 2 for me.

I forgot how much I loved this battle theme...

Do you think there might be any remakes or continuations in 3ds or ps4
I came from the future to say that Radiant Historia gained a remake and this one didn't
Because Konami too lazy to make a new or ported game beside PES nowadays.
There is eiyuden chronicles which is supposed to be a spiritual successor.

Hahah this brings back great memories of battling... the archivists were no pushover...
I'm about 25 hrs into the game, and this is definitely my favorite track!
@InfurnusChaotix Oh they definitely are. Even though the graphics themselves are outdated on some of them, they are still pretty good.
Thanks, my favorite BGM from Tierkreis!
thanks for uploading. This song really great^^
Awesome awesome awesome! Thank you sooo much! :D
really,really thank you.
Right click the video, click Loop, and enjoy.

but the game was so easy, even the started 4 can beat the game
I thought the game was on the easy side, music and story is brilliant, though.
***** I used to beat the final boss every night just so that I could hear the 2nd Ending Theme - he was THAT easy lol
***** It took like 30 mins only for each night, and then it was only until I somehow found the OSTs online lol
***** Nuu, I mean I saved like at the final dungeon. Of course I didn't play the ENTIRE game every night lololol
Until the bad ending, because I think it is bad.
I wish they'd give Conon and Fergus some sort of backstory. They seemed quite interesting...
FINALLY! Why the hell can't the bard play ALL the music tracks in the game? Jeez.
@Cameraman2 Hmm maybe I was a bit overleveled for this, but not even Diadora's Party was able to kick my ass. I could've kicked theirs probalby if this weren't pre-determined.
Este tema no está incluido en una lista de reproducción del soundtrack del juego

this song remember me SOTN and it´s AMAZIGNS SINPHONYS
Best game ever
@lchigoe lol, I actually did too, but using special moves is fun. and I like, almost never ran out of magic unless I spammed True Falcon XD
The suikoden tierkreis is missing one vital song in youtube! "friend of the great plains"! please someone upload :(
You guys are pre-determinated to hear this song every year
Anyone know the theme that plays when you browse through the Sotah's information? I've haven't found it yet >.>
yeah i know what you mean i was kinda dissapointed too that htere where no strategy battles
dat harpsichord-ish thing
get actionreplay if you have encounter problems, with it you won't encounter wild battles unless you hold down L while exploring :) very convenient

AkantoreX I actually loved the fact that you could easily see which battles aren't supposed to be won
For some reason it sounds better on the DS idk why
of course cause thats original soundtrack means for ds
fast fast LVL up i the yard before the final boss
XD

Did you listen to it in high quality?
@Fireshrine
Really? I just you know used spears and swords... but if you wanan use the mark of the stars and waste al your magic go ahead :]
Why was this song so hard to find? Is it a hidden battle? (I've only heard the soundtrack. I haven't played the game.)
no it always plays in boss battles it's probably just bad luck you couldn't find it easier
not in any boss battles, but specificially for boss battle against any archivists
This game is nice as an RPG, good tracks and story. But everytime I am reminded that this is a Suikoden w/o strategy battle and 1-1 fights, I'm kinda ticked off
No difference from normal some sounds that are pretty high on the DS can barely be heard on this one
lol i only fight evry single baattle b/c i like how they attack.,.. unlike in Final fantasy( dont' get me wrong i love FF) where they do the same attack for evry weapon
